Blake gave Raine and Riker a crooked and slightly awkward smile. "It's- it's a pleasure to meet you Miss Raine. My n-name's Blake." 'Great, stuttering. Wonderful first impression you're making!' He said scoldingly to himself. Yet, it seemed a better impression than the other teen was making... His ears twitched at being refered to as 'boy.' The patched male couldn't have been much older than himself! And how could he talk to the adults in such a rude fashion and get away with it? The male made Blake want to smack him for his attitude, but he didn't feel nervous. The only ones in the group not nervous about the other teen were apparently the female teen, who had on a curious smile, and Raine. He must be missing something. "Actually, I'm not sure why I'm here, Miss Raine." He said honestly. "I just... came. I- I'd be glad to help if you need though."

"Not sure, are you?" Raine just smiled softly. "Well I hope you at least understand what a wolf pack is?" Her hands gestured to the gathering, "That's what we are and right now we are welcoming new members or even tag alongs for our summer hunts. It's easy to stock up when you can hunt in bigger numbers because of the bigger amount of game possible for collection." The female pointedly ignored the confusion of her friends over the other teen though her ears stayed attentive to the other conversation.
"Well, jeez I wonder why she wouldn't talk about you." Sarcasm dripped from Akemi's voice as she rolled her eyes at Reever. Seriously what was up with this kid? "I think we might be too busy for talk time, unlike many pups."
Yet as Akemi turned from Reever...she bit the bottom of her lip thoughtfully. Did he actually care that Tzipora never mention him? Actually...did she ever mention anything about her family at all? Akemi looked over to the Beta before shrugging. The wolf had her reasons, surely. She wasn't going to question that.
"If that's true then I won't force you away." Riker's voice cut through the thick tension surrounding many of the wolves. Still his gaze narrowed to sharp golden slits, "But more than one step out of line will find you in a nasty situation, Reever."

Char smiled slightly knowing full well what Tzipora had been getting at. He had been around so many young teen on his travels who though they knew every thing. When Tzipora mentioned getting started he absent mindedly move in beside her. though keeping an eye on Jess at the same time. Bounding about happily Jessie moved towards Reeve her tail waging as happily as a new born pup. "Hi Reeve..was it? I'm Jessie. but most call me Jess except my dad but well he's old." Jess whittled on smiling like an idiot holding out her hand.

Encouraged by Raine's patient and friendly attitude, Blake nodded. "I'd be glad to help out if I can. Though, I've never hunted with this many." One of his paws scratched faintly at the dirt in a nervous twitch. He hoped she wouldn't think he was odd. "Up till now, I've only lived with two others. Hunting is probably different. Should I stay in the back then?" He looked around again when the gray female said to get going. His ears twitched slightly. With a new group like this, and a hunt coming up, he had hoped to at least meet each wolf for a little familiarity. Maybe he really would have to hang back.

"Umm...staying in the back guarantees a visit from devils. " Raine murmured softly before smiling at Blake, "Well you'll get the hang of it soon! But yes, I stay in near the back as well since I'm more of an archer than direct hunter."
Raine looked over the group before nodding to Blake, "No worry, though we're moving it takes some time to get to the hunting grounds! Plenty of time of chat and meeting the others."
A knife shot from Akemi's hand to land in to a tree right next to Reever. Smiling coldly the rustic wolftaur moved to get the knife, "Oopsie! These knives are so slippery~" Walking right past Reever she added, "Good thing it was just the tree this time!"
Her hands found the knife and with ease she pulled the thing out of the tree. After tucking the blade back into her belt Akemi nodded to Tzipora. "Moving now sounds like a good plan."
It was in that split second that Riker decided to completely ignore Reever unless something serious was going on. Plus he knew better than to chastise Akemi or to even try getting to Reever. So he looked over the group before looking back to Tzipora.
Riker nodded. "I say good idea. Let's get going!" Mostly hidden wires glinted for a split second in the sunlight before the alpha moved back into the shadows of the trees.

After giving her alpha an affirmative nod, Tzipora set out for the front of the pack with her eyes watching Char from the corners and Reever from the front. The little one, she had to be just a little older than him, could very well keep him out of trouble. That is, if she had the heart for it. She prayed that the girl wasn't a little flower that he could twist up. Not only would that be bad for pack moral, her reputation and his chances at a life with all his limbs, but it would cost her chances with Char. But, even Reever wasn't stupid enough to pull a stunt in public.
She looked back for her favorite man and smiled a little lighter. "So, how long have you been with Jessie?"
----
Reever couldn't give two shits about how tough the rustic gal thought she was. He'd beat her face in the moment everyone else left if given the chance. Giving her a good snarl, the teenager spit at the ground as she passed. At least she was stupid enough to leave him a weapon.
"Oh, yes, it's Reever." Looking at the pretty little girl, he put on his thickest charm and took her hand in his, kissing the top while giving her a little wink. "I'm really glad that you came to talk to me. I was feeling like some kind of outcast. It's like their so set on their own thing that they don't want anyone else in the group." And with added flair, a good tail wag to match her happy little windmill. Perfect. "But your with me, right? Maybe we can become best friends." He smiled, showing his very best happy and bright side while he was gagging on the inside.

Keeping an eye on Jess Char moved closer to Tzipora. Thinking for a moment he smiles "It was just after are last hunt together. I was their when she was born. Missed her growing up but i found the village again on my travels. I stopped to help in the winter and they asked me to take her with me." Glancing over her shoulder to check on her he spoke a little softer. "Sadly the village she comes from doesn't allow females to do anything. They are though of as slaves to be traded. Her mother begged me to take her away and give her a good life never to return. But she doesn't know anything of that she thinks were just on a trip and will someday return" Char let out a sigh his hand tightening on the hilt of his knife thinking back to the village. His brow knotting at the though of the ones he had had to leave. "I hated that village"
Jessie blushed happily when Reeve kissed her hand. "oh yes I hope we can be the best of friends." she said clapping her hands happily bouncing on the balls of her front feet. "I don't know why the others get so worked up all the time. Fighting and raising voices is no fun." she said smiling happily stretching her front paws forward almost in a play bow kinda stance. Leaping up from that pose she pranced happily forward following the others. "come on Reever lets not get behind. I feel today is going to be full of surprises"

Blake flicked his ears back, eyes widening slightly. "Devils?" Her smile soothed him quickly even as she caught more of his interest. "An archer? I've never done that before. Alazne made sure I could hunt close contact." Before he could ask more about Raine's archery, it was announced they were ready to head out. His eyes glanced about in last minute nerves. The adults looked calm and ready for the hunt. Of the two his age, the girl looked like she wasn't paying much attention, and the male's molasses charm was nauseating. The 180 degree turn of his personality made Blake wary. Playing it safe, he stuck near Raine until he got a better look at the other adults.

"Really?" Raine trotted along softly while keeping her gaze on the woods. "Close contact is always the way to hunt for most wolves, but I'm more of the distance shot. Though I do sometimes have to get my paws dirty. I'd rather clean my bloody arrows then my fur." She laughed softly, "That's just my one wish as a feminine female I guess. If you're interested though just for sport I could teach you how to use a bow and arrow when we stop for the night. Only if you want toof course." Her eyes never left the woods surrounding them. One second of distraction could prove dangerous with those two about.
Akemi padded softly along after Riker though her gaze was still on Reever. Something about the teen made her want to throttle him right then and there, but she was trying her best to behave. But she was glad that he was snarling rather then laying the honey on thick like he was for that poor girl. 'Hopefully she'll learn.'
Riker silently lead the way. But his silence was only due to the fact that his mind was rolling with thoughts and ideas. He wasn't worried. The younger wolftaur may think of him as a wimp or something, but he was afraid that should something come up he would wipe out that image.

"I hate it already." Tzipora looked back at the little pup chatting it up with her brother and frowned sympathetically. "I've heard of places like that, but I've never had the misfortune of living there. It's a good thing you took her when you did. She'll have a much better quality of life with you." The wolftaur smiled, shifting her axe from one shoulder to the next.
"Of course, I've never really known a female's place. My family just wasn't the kind to believe in that kind of weakness." Of course, she wouldn't mind cooking for someone she loved and looking after some squirts, but there was no way in hell that she'd defer to him as master and trim his nails after working all day.
------
Reever laughed at the playful little chit. She was so innocently cute that he couldn't wait to sink his claws into her. "Best friends forever." He grinned, wagging his tail like the spirited youth he pretended to be. "Oooh, wait for me, Jessie! I just need to pick up my bag."
He bent down by the shrubbery, pretending to scoop up fallen articles but in truth he was gathering poisinous herbs. He'd spotted them when talking to her and s**t, if he could knock a couple of them off before even beginning the hunt he'd be in the clear. Tossing the sack over his shoulder, he ran back up to her side. "Do you know how to hunt, Jessie? "

Jessie shook her head. "nope this is my first one. Females of my pack were not allowed out of the village unless it was down to the river to fetch water or wash clothes." Bouncing about happily "but My dad talked to the others and said he was going to train me. My mother and sisters cried as i left but they were being silly" Jessie babbled on happily. It was so nice to talk to someone else apart from her farther. "I bet your great at hunting though. You look so strong and smart"
Char perked his ear trying to listen to Jessie and Reever but although he could hear them his aging hearing ment He could not make out clearly what they were saying. Listening to Tzipora the corner of his mouth cured up slightly trying to picture her in the typical female role. "the whole 'Females place' thing is over exaggerated. I know lots of males who would rather stay in a village and care for the young while the females hunt." He blushed slightly adding "I love to cook, though many have looked down on me for it."

Blake smiled, comparing Alazne to Miss Raine. Alazne didn't mind at all a little blood as long as it meant food for them. He thought it kind of... silly, to be afraid of getting blood on yourself, but his isolated childhood gave him a rather close-minded perspective on others. He would learn quickly to understand others' point-of-views. His eyes brightened though at her offer. "Would you? That'd be great!" His tail wagged happily, but he caught himself and stiffened. Adults didn't go around wagging tails about everything!

Raine tried her best to hide the small grin that had formed at Blake's enthusiasm. "Yes, I'll teach you." Her eyes sparkled as she looked ahead, "So...if I may ask, where are you from Blake?"
Akemi glared and found herself certain of one new thing. She was not going to take her eyes off of Reever. And it wasn't out of desire that she watched him either. "That dam-"
"Akemi." Riker's voice brushed against her ears, "I'll need you to scout a spot to stay for the night as well...though I know you have troubles already." Careful eyes watched his dear friend as the wolftaur patted her shoulder and moved back towards the front.
Jeez, what a storm this hunt would be.
A sneaky glint noted something that she figured other's hadn't. With soft steps the wolftaur went to clutch at her twin. Stranger Danger.
