"T-torturing new p-players?" Izzy said softly, rubbing his hands together. It was starting to get chilly. Izzy blinked at Writ. "W-well... p-people." He answered shyly, before looking around. There was a tea shop in this area, he remembered delivering some leaves to them.
And he really hoped that what Writ said was true, but he still felt a little off putting his life in the hands of another player he had just met.
"Th-there's a t-tea shop around here... I think a-about a block away..." He pointed in its general direction.

"Torture? I was just playing around." Writ started towards the tea shop, "And what's wrong with people? People make life interesting."

And as if the universe had heard him, a couple of trash cans from the alleyway behind the two made a spectacular crash as they spilled their contents in the street. Writ turned around sharply, and took out the axe between his jeans and his waist.

Okay, so he was a little paranoid too.

"P-people c-can be..." That was for sure. But people also took his money and beat him up in the bushes of the park or in alleys in the downs when he wasn't paying attention. "...O-okay." He finished slowly. The trashcans falling made him jump, spinning around to see what had made the sound while backing away as quickly as his feet could let him stumble. Eyes flashing to Writ, he bit his tongue when he saw the axe that had suddenly appeared in his hands.
"O-oh d-dear..."

"Probably nothing." Writ said, his ears were raised upwards and his eyes were wide open. The older godling was obviously on high alert, any sign of a suit and he was ready to lash out. He knew it would be a matter of time until they started looking for him.

A large, sand colored dog crept out of the alleyway, and Writ relaxed. Just a coyote, one of them that he knew through Nuka. It nodded it's head and went on it's way. Writ took it as a wink. As if it wanted to help traumatize the poor newbie.

He turned back to Izzy, "See, just a stray."

Eyes still on the axe, Izzy nodded as he tried to tear them away to look at the alley too. A dog- no... a coyote? In the city? HE watched, eyes a bit wider, waiting for it to growl and leap...
"D-d-did it j-just nod?" He asked softly, eyes immediately snapping back to the axe Writ was holding when he turned to him.

"They know me around here." Writ shrugged, he glanced at his axe before putting it away.

"Can't too careful around here, there's a lot more then just other players who want to off us." He continued walking.

He felt better when the axe was gone, but Writ's words bothered him a bit. "O-o-other than p-players?" So there was more than just god-powered kids to worry about? He frowned, of course. A bunch of kids who magically wander off and then reappear with powers? Izzy wondered to himself how many deaths he'd heard about had actually been players in the game...
"L-l-like who- wh-what?"

Writ held the door open for Izzy to the tea shop, "Let's just say that if you see a few big guys in suits, I'd make myself scarce."

The shop was undoubtedly a tea shop. Shelves of large glass jars lined the walls, each one filled to the top with different types of tea leaves. Each jar meticulously numbered and labeled. There was a counter, and tables with chairs, just like a cafe-- but the shop seemed to make an effort to say they were, without a doubt, a tea shop.

It was a strange, oppressive environment to the cafe dwelling Writ, but at least it was warm.

"We call them Blacksuits, kinda redundant, catchy though." Writ took a seat at one of the tables, "They killed a couple of people involved with The Game, and I think I might've provoked them a bit." He reached for the newspaper at the empty table next to him.

Making mental notes he wandered into the shop, eyes glancing around at the various jars. He felt at ease with all the plants around him, and smiled a bit and nodded at the woman behind the counter. She nodded back and gave a small wave before disappearing into the back through a beaded curtain.
Following Write to a table he sat, listening with his eyebrows scrunched up.
"B-black s-suits... wh-what d-did you d-do to upset th-them?" Izzy watched as he grabbed the paper, worried about the answer he might get.
The woman from behind the counter came out, already carrying a cup of tea and a thick book to the table.
"'Allo, darling." She said, patting Izzy's head and setting the tea before him. He thanked her in a small voice as she set the book in front of Writ. "An' 'allo to you too. This here is our menu, it's pretty extensive if I do say so meself." She smiled and pulled a small bell from her pocket and put it on the table. "When youthinks of sumfink to drink, jus' wring the bell an' I'll be right out in a jiff." The woman walked away with a wink at Izzy, back behind the beaded curtian and Izzy sipped his tea.

"Thanks." Writ's eyes followed the waitress, then went back to Izzy, "Guess you come here often, huh?"

He skimmed the newspaper with a finger before finally landing on a small article: Securities building bombing under investigation, Officials suspect terrorist activity

"Me and my kitty-eared friend got together and sent them a message." He turned the paper around and showed it to Izzy, "Nothing like some good old fashioned vandalism to start things off."

Izzy nodded, savoring the tea and setting the cup down. "I-I deliver here..."
For both Totec and the supply company he was working under the table for at the docks. He didn't know what exactly it was Totec was giving the tea shop, but scanning the shelves he did see some of the leaves in the jars...
Izzy perked up at 'kitty-eared' and looked up at the paper, eyes scanning quickly as they grew wide.

"Y-y-you guys b-blew something u-up...?" Izzy's mouth hung open a bit as he leaned forward to try and read a bit more of the smaller text.

"I think they just said 'Bomb' to sell papers." Writ slid the newspaper towards Izzy, "If we did, I would've leveled the place. Nah, all we did was smash up some windows, throw in some fireworks." He rang the bell and told the waitress his order before facing Izzy again, "It's fun stuff, you should come along when we try it again."

Izzy blinked and looked at the table, hands finding his tea glass. Turning it around in his hands he frowned a bit. Did he really have to watch out for other godlings? So far the two he'd met weren't that bad... for now, instead, he'd keep an eye out for these black suits.
"A-a-aren't you g-guys a-afraid of them?" He asked, trying to skip over having to answer the question.
PostPosted: Mon May 18, 2009 11:05 pm

"A little, I guess. I mean, they've killed a couple of people here and there, no players yet though." This one friend of mine escaped from them, and he looked like hell, scars all over his back." Writ frowned. The waitress put the tea he ordered in front of him, and he began to scoop spoon after spoon of sugar in it. "But I guess it's too late for any second thoughts. They'll be after all of us eventually. Me and my friend especially."

Izzy gripped his cup and sipped the tea. "S-s-s-scars..." He frowned. Torture, then. Yes, he really needed to stay away from the black suits. He watched Writ as he spooned in the sugar. "I h-h-hope it's l-later rather th-than sooner... Th-they sound un-unsavory." He mumbled, putting the cup down and spinning it again. "S-same friend that h-helped you v-vandalize the building?"
