As Boring had already had a go at her once, Eerielin was not surprised when she incited the other cub into another similar attack. That was why she had hunkered down after all. As Boring would throw herself at her, displaying no common battle sense at all, Eerielin responded by ducking her head down, and thrusting her shoulders at the scrawny cub to try and throw her back down again.
"This is MY hunting grounds now! Mine!"

"NWaawarrrghh!!" Boring responded, words far too convoluted now in her growling and hissing to make any sense at all.
The fact that Eerielin hunkered down gave Boring a chance to try and swat at her shoulders, even to cling on for... oh.... a tenth of a milisecond... before she flailed back and landed on her side, sprawled on one leg.
"Uffff...Ahwr!" That had hurt! But Boring was up again in a second, ears back and hissing.

Eerielin did not stop at her small throw. This time she pressed on after the cub, so when Boring got back to her feet so quickly, Eerielin would be waiting for her and moving against her. Her ears and flakes were still pressed back against her head tightly to protect them as she swung forceful paw blows at the other cubs head. Boring seemed to lack any real strength, and as she grew more wild her blows seemed less likely to even sting.
Eerielin changed tactics after a few blows, and lunged forwards with her mouth open to try and catch Boring by the throat during one of her wild unguarded attacks.

Boring had been really pulled up into a fit of rage by this other cub. Come on her spot looking so nice. Make fun of her. Claim to be like her. Yell nasty things. Read her mind. Try to take her spot.
She had no idea how completely ineffective she was being, though later reflection would teach her better.
Right now she had a much bigger thing to concern herself with. Eerielin had just lunged out of no where at her and now had her neck.
Boring let out another squall of protest, flailing about to try to get RID of this thing.
But Boring was tired, and her flailing around was little more than scratches at this point. She just wasn't *ready* to admit defeat. She couldn't. She couldn't. She couldn't!

HA! She had her! Stupid little ineffective cub! Eerielin pushed down on Boring while she flialed about. With her neck caught in her jaws, Eerielin was certain the other cub would not be able to break free. All she had to do was squeeze a little...which she did, and attempted to growl to get her warning off to the other cub. She just needed to stop flailing about...
Actually, getting the cub like this was a bit of a exciting thing for Eerielin. She was winning!

Boring's squalls of protests turned into screams that said she really was being hurt. Her flailing took on something more desperate.
There wasn't thought at this point, just the blinding knowledge that she was LOSING and she was getting choked and crushed to DEATH. And, oddly enough, the thought that it wasn't even something amazing that was doing it to her.

What was it that father had told her? He had instructed her about something like this... Apply some pressure to the throat...so the other lion couildn't breath. Eventually they would have to hold still right? Still...Eerielin was finding this less fun as the other cub seemed to flail all the harder. She growled again, and lifted a paw to try and pin the other cub's front paws down. "RRrrrrrr!!"

Stubborn and tenacious, Boring refused even to acknowledge the choking, her screams continuing despite weaker--ah-aow-- Yeah, but the intruder cub had just changed her grip's positioning. Stubborn and tenacious Boring might be, but her body reminded her that there was a reality to face. Of course, it had to remind her in the very most of embarrassing ways.
Her screams turned into a squeak that quickly turned into a gurgly sound, and then a hollow trying-to-breathe-here sound. But, yup, she still struggled. Granted, her struggling sort of sort of just a wiggle with her paws caught, and it sort of turned into a jiggle-quiver-thing. But there was no way she was going to die without trying to wiggle her way out!

The cub was weakening but not giving up. Well, as mad as she had made her she supposed she could understand. Eerielin kicked her paws into the dirt and pushed her front portion of her body onto the cub so that she felt confident enough taking her jaws off the other cub's neck.
Wiggling her nose, she eyed down at the cub. "I win. Say it. Say I win and I'll be nice and let you hunt on my grounds."

Boring didn't respond at first, breathing heavily for several moments. Her eyes were both watery and filled with venom.
"But you're fat."
It was no longer an insult, but a complaint and objection.

"Yeah?" Eerielin responed as she looked down at the other female. "I may be fat but I whipped your butt. Cubs are s'pposed to be fat. Father would say your sick looking. Say I win and I'll let you hunt where I hunt."

"And you have a father." It was almost a hiss, but Boring didn't really quite dare. "You're fat and you have a father. Go away. I take care of myself. I don't need you or your father."
Not.envious.not.envious. She didn't need her. She didn't need him. She didn't need her stupid better hunting grounds. She didn't need nothing. She just needed herself. That was it and all and all she would have and bother with.
Her voice sure as all didn't go from that his to something of a whining mewl. It did not. That was just any listener's ears playing tricks on them. Yeah.

"Stupid bird brain." Eerielin spat down at her. With a bit of a push off, she pulled herself off the other cub. Her brows knit as she tried her best glare on the other.
"I don't have a father. Your stupid and your scrawny and eating worms. Your gunna die cause your weak. I don't care none though." The words came out as a bitter spitting

"I am not weak and worms are better anyway and I'm not a liar like you! I am better than you. I took care of my sister and brother--" In her head, she had, "--until they were gone." In her head, they had simply disappeared. Her brother when she went to sleep at one time, her sister when Boring had wandered off and gotten lost. Stupid-falling-into-rivers-and-their-currents. "And I take care of myself now! All. By. Myself. I don't need nobody else. YOU are weak because you need others. I am better." She tossed her head, "I will come out tops, because I can survive all by myself. You just wait until we're the same size, then you better run and hide forever!"
And was big bravado, big words used to comfort herself, spoken with the utmost confidence.

This was the point where Eerielin sat herself down. Settling her paws in front of her she adopted the proud stance her father often had her sit in when he was about to tell her some important lesson. She curled her tail about her paws, her tail fethers twitching gently against the ground as she looked at the stupid cub in front of her.
"Are too weak. You don't fight right now. So you can't fight better when you get bigger. I'm notta liar neither." Eerielin tilted her nose upwards a little bit. "I don't have to lie."
She sniffed a little in her disbelief at the cub "If you took care of um like your takin care of yourself then I'm not surprised your all alone right now." She shook her head a little, her flakes shaking a little from the movement.
"I don't need others. Father taught me everything I need to know before he stopped waking up. That's why I'm bigger n' stronger then you. Nobody taught you nothin, so you got to eat worms. Your weak and your gunna stay weak. And if you won't listen to me then you got to get off my hunting grounds."
