I really love listen my movies on original lang (japanese, korean, german, chinese, english, spanish, etc.) and read subs... then, some cases are special:

well, sometimes I can stay on front of TV (most preferably ^^) and then I choose original lang and spanish sub, the feeling is the best ^w^...

if I can stay on fron of TV but I listened the dub and Is fine, then I choose dub, the feeling is finest ^w^...

sometimes I need move for anything and more no just me are watching... then, if is above case no problem, but if dub is ugly, then I must suffer >w<'...

then I love listen original and sub or good dubbed ^w^...

For me, I would at listen to the voices in each language, and whichever voice I like better, I'd watch that version. For example, Azumanga Daioh. I watched the English version first, but I hated the way Osaka's voice actor spoke for her, so I watched the Japanese version and it worked out better.

I watch the subs. For one, the voices are usually really SCARY in the english dub. Plus, I think that anime (or anything) should be watched as close to the real thing as possible, and a lot of times the English dub is horribly edited. I HATE editing with a passion-- if that's how it was written/drawn/animated, that's how it should be kept. Up the rating if you have to, but don't change it. ( I feel very strongly about this) Sometimes the dubs are pretty good though.

For instance, Shonen Jump edits the manga they print in the magizine (so obnoxious!) but they did a pretty good job with Death Note-- which isn't serialized. I think this is because DN is rated Older Teen instead of Teen like the magizine.

Yeah, I have to stop ranting now, lol. Gotta get ready for Tae Kwon Do! xd

I usually say I personally like dub just to annoy people, but if you say you like dubbed anime then it's like saying you like all dubbed stuff, which is incorrect. But I have yet to meet someone who did not admit the FMA english dub is not good if not great! and I hate it when people say the dubs of something will suck even before they've never heard them! the Lucky Star dubs where actually pretty good in my opinion, (except for Patricia, that one character english dub sucked) though everyone I knew were putting them down and hadn't even listened to them yet... sounds like blind ignorance if you ask me

SUBS

English dubs are terrible! Most of the voices never seem to match the character (either making them sound retarded or too old). Another thing that bugs me about English dubs is that the words are changed around TOO much, which makes it feel like they're dumbing down the anime. evil

I find Japanese with subtitles better than English dubs because the English dubs are scary sometimes.
So basically I prefer Japanese with Subtitles.

I know i'm not in the majority here, but if the option is available, I prefer the English dub.

I don't know if it's because my grasp of Japanese is rudimentary, or because I have poor hearing(Which I don't), but I don't pick up any nuances in the original Japanese voices that isn't present in the English dub. Me, i'm more of a face guy~ I prefer to watch the universal language of facial expressions as a person speaks, rather then read the words and hope my ears hear a stressed word that may or may not have been the word I just read.

せつなが着つの后妃だ
Come with me in the twilight of a summer night for awhile
Tell me of a story never ever told in the past
Take me back to the land

Depends on the anime in my opinion..For example You could never get me to watch fushigi yuugi in english cause it's so damned bad...I will only watch it in japanese with english subtitles...But I will also watch yu yu hakusho in english only...and you can never get me to watch it in japanese. Then again i think it has to do with what version you saw first...I saw the english version of fruits basket first and other's tell me that the japanese is better but since i saw the english first i can't stand to watch the japanese cause i'm use to the english voices

Where my yearnings were born
The key to open the door is in your hand
Now take me there
to the land of twilight

Well, subtitles hurt my head. And when they're in english, I can actually understand it. And lots of people can understand it better as well, even though they usual make it in Japanese. But it doesn't actually matter, as long as you get the same story.
