The laughter of children, cooing of parents, shrieks of couples and faint music of stringed instruments drifted easily through the air, as though they were a feather caught on a lazy breeze. The streets of Chronopolis had become home to many an attraction, rows of stalls and colourful tents seeming to have materialized overnight. The whole city couldn’t have resisted anticipating this event for weeks, and now, as she slipped easily through the sea of people, Aidan could understand why. Humans never ceased to amuse and amaze the young Elf. With a light and easy step, she danced between members of the milling congregation currently gathered around a booth displaying colourfully painted masks and two dancing figures garbed in the wares of the small merchant, who was wringing his hands nervously and looking out for thieves.
Looking back over her shoulder as she continued to walk, Aidan’s dark green eyes were fixed on the dancing couple. Suddenly, as if by their own accord, her feet slid backward and slightly toward the right, easily avoiding an oncoming surge of school-age girls. Glancing forward again, the Elf let out a tiny sigh of relief. Many of the gaggle of girls were taller than she, and could easily have crushed her, were it not for her quick reflexes.
Aidan picked up her pace, long legs moving purposefully. A long sheet of russet-coloured hair bounced against her back. It was shiny, corkscrewed and wound with tiny black ribbons that seemed to shimmer and strategically complimented the lightest tones in each strand. Her long torso was garbed in a light, fluttering dress, the colour of spring grass. The waistline accentuated her naturally thin torso, making her look much like one of the girls who had just passed. Her face, however, seemed mature and smooth, youthful yet wise. The tips of her pointed ears—which peeked through her hair—explained this genetic anomaly. The Apothecary continued on her way, moving away from the center of the city and back toward her shop which lay on the outskirts of the town and which, should on this day of festival, not be attracting customers. Unfortunately for her, the small female would be forced to pass several small pubs on her way. For whatever reason, the local scum seemed to be endlessly fascinated by such an... Unusual young woman. Many days, the men stayed in the pubs, simply leering at her over dirty mugs and through grimy windows. Today, however, it did not seem likely that they would remain hidden in light of the recent merriment.

The town festival was just another day in Shizuru Watanabe's life. The only difference was that it would be one of the more busier days. There were sure to be plenty of drunkards and people getting hurt. And from experience, she knew that putting some of the drunkards to sleep with snide remarks was literally the best solution.
So, Doctor Shizuru was now on her way to the local apothecary of Aidan Vale to stock up on more sleep inducing potions. If she was going to be free from work at all today, it was going to be the early morning... which she was using to stock up on supplies. It was in times like these that she wished she had another doctor as a partner instead of a nurse... even if the nurse probably knew more than some doctors.
"Oh, my," she said sarcastically as she saw a man trip over a dissembled carriage wheel and fall into the ground. He couldn't possibly be decapitated from that. Ignoring him and the commotion around him, she pushed through the early morning crowd toward her destination. Aidan's shop was now in sight.

Ian would notice a familiar looking black haired green eyed girl sneaking around the perimeter. Forest, accompanied by the hound Fang, was looking for trouble. Since today was the town festival, Forest intended to have her own share of fun as always. She had set up a simple contraption by the barracks to douse anyone who used the door with water. Forest was hiding behind a fence and tree, watching for soldiers to fall and on the offchance for Kira to stumble into the contraption.
-----
On a road beside the fields within Zeroki's view was a lone pair of horse and man. The horse was a shiny black one, restless in its steps. The dark haired man, who wore light riding clothes and held the horse by the reins, was very tall and was leading the horse in front.
In a moment, another pair of man and horse caught up, a very small flurry of dust kicking up behind them. The first man ignored them. The second man, blonde haired and shorter than the first, dismounted and halted behind the first. His mouth opened and closed as if calling the first. In the wind, Zeroki's ears could probably pick out "Not running .... again, .... lord."
The two men conversed. Bits and pieces of the conversation were carried by the wind.
"No good.... for .... restless..."
"...opening speech.... festival..."
"...course....."
At this point, the first horse bolted from the first man's control down the road and into the fields. The second man pointed, but the first man ignored him and continued speaking with him.
But horses running around in fields couldn't always be great, especially if they would trample crops... or scare other farm animals.

Spoting the cloud of dust made by the horses and hearing pieces of the men's conversaitin, Zero stood. Attop his perch, he could see the two men talking, and then one of the horses gallop off twards the city, and straight into his field! "Bugger!" he shouted, alarmed that these men were not only tresspassing, but letting their mount trample all over the crops that he had raised himself! Then, without even a pause, he threw himself off of the roof and into open air.
Arms spread wide, he caught onto blade of the windmill as it passed. Hanging on tightly, he slowed his fall enough to land with a quick roll. Leaping to his feet in a smoothe, fluid motion, he started his dash twards the two men. Although he had no idea who the men were, Zero had defended his farm against everything from hungry wolves to roving bandits. He was no slouch in combat, and never went anywhere without his trusty daggar.
Now nearing the strangers, he slowed his run from a sprint to a light jog. "I hope you two intend to pay for those" he said, his voice laced with a tone of authority.

Upon stepping away from the top step Ian's foot caught on a thin rope causing a large bucket of water fell onto his head. "D'vart! Eyddr eyreya orn!!" With a sudden fury and an outburst of the demon language, Ian saw scanned the surrounding area only to see familier eyes looking at him from behind a tree. The eyes of Forest, the daughter of Lord Thomas. She was one of the few people who had found out about his 'heratage'. With nothing more than a soggy shake of the head his anger faded to meer humility for being the one caught in the latest trap. At least it was on his day off so he could go home and change. Others wouldn't be so lucky. Sighing quietly Ian turned to the road leading bact to his rooms.

((Ok, Trigger and Articx. Thanks for the heads up!))
The blonde man let out a small sigh at Zeroki's appearance while the dark haired man raised an eyebrow. The sound of Zero dashing through the grass probably had alerted him to an approaching person. If Zero's person seemed irregular or surprising to the blonde man, the man did not show it. He instead glanced at the taller man, with a look that said "Look what you did." The blonde man turned back and looked up at Zeroki. "Of course. That is a given. However -"
The tall dark haired man cut him off. "Allen, I'll stop the horse before it causes any more ruckus." He dashed off after the black horse.
"Yes, that would be for the best to minimize any damage to your crops." The blonde man reached inside his black cloak and as he took out a small sack, one could hear a slight jingling. The blonde man bowed slightly to Zero and presented him with the sack. "My name is Allen. Please accept my apologies for my companions' behavior." Inside the sack was a decent amount of coins.
Meanwhile, the two would be able to see the dark haired man doing ridiculous things such as wrestling the horse, taunting the horse, and finally running away from it. The horse and the man returned the road immediately after the horse bit the man's arm and elicited a rather loud "Damn horse!" recourse.
"He should have another sack for you," Allen added.

Cassie let out a silent groan, the air whooshing out of her lips as she set down the last of the crates onto the Chronopolis docks. Glancing over her shoulders, she saw the other men unloading all sorts of things from the ships, things that were thrice her size. Straightening, Cassie folded her fingers and stretched her arms above her head her, back arching as she tried to ease the knots of stiffness that progressed in her arms and back. With a small sigh, the woman looked at the colourful city before her and couldn't help the smile that tugged the corners of her lips.
"So this is the famous Chronopolis huh?" She murmered, to no in particular.
With a sigh, Cassie reached behind her to gather her indigo strands and quickly began to braid her hair so it wouldn't continue blowing in her face. She was residing in her aunts home, a long distance away from here when she was ordered to come to the city and continue her duties serving the Eurosia authorities. She came to Chronopolis when she was younger, but it wasn't in the main city, merely in the outskirts where gossip flows and information is whispered slowly enough to catch all the details.
" 'EY GIRLIE! I AIN'T PAYING YOU TO STAND THERE AND FIX YOUR HAIR!!!"
Cassie winced at the loud, deep voice belonging to her supervisor, Alan. The man had been hovering over her since she boarded the stupid vessel.
" You don't pay me at all..." She retorted, turning on her heel and making her way back to the ship. "And don't call me that."
"I allowed you to board my ship! That's payment enough. Whats you business in Chronopolis anyway?"
Cassie rolled her eyes and continued her way to the deck before leaning on the rail, her arms crossed over her stomach. She was contemplating to tell the old man to mind his own business but she considered the trouble he went through to allow her board. Women weren't really...welcomed on a mans ship. She was told it was because they bring bad omens. She shook her head, smiling. Sailors have to much time on their hands.
"I came to see the festival. Its happening here is it not?"
Alan shot her a look that suggested he didn't believe her. "You traveled all the way here, a two week trip, simply to see colourful tents and dancing bears?"
"Shut-up."

((Oh, noes! Trigger, come back! XP Er, maybe I'll just get Shizuru to take longer to get to Aidan's place.
EDIT: Adding Shizuru actions.))
Shizuru sighed as she saw Aidan's shop. It was closed. Aidan wasn't in. The doctor shrugged as she debated whether to wait or come back later. After a moment, she decided to come back later.
Exercise! Shizuru thought. She might as well see what was going around in town and take a light jog to the harbors. So, she did.

Zero accepted the sack of coins while trying very hard to hold back his laughter. Watching a grown man being chased by a horse had all but vanquished any negative emotions he had heald.
"Thank you. This will be enough. In fact, I would brobably pay to see that again..." Zero sighed deeply, regarding the money in his hand. "I will never see any of this" he mutters. "It all goes straight to Redmond and his family..." Now muttering to himself and shaking his head. "Sometimes I wonder if it is worth it..."

The blonde Sea Guard captain walked about the harbor, surveying the area with watchful eyes. With the manner that he surveyed the area, it almost seemed as if he was king of the docks, which he wasn't. There was no such position.
Kevin smiled as he continued walking. The playful breeze made his red scarf flutter behind him. The same playful breeze had allowed boats and ships to go about their businesses without any mishap. The sailing competition for later looked as if it would be uneventful. If the wind became stagnant, it would become a strength and coordination rowing competition.
The town festival was exactly what it was, a festival for Chronopolitans to celebrate harvests, life, et cetera... Now and then, some visitors would come from outside, but Chronopolitans were always wary of the outsiders. With the current situation with Zion and the world, the other countries had also become wary of outsiders.
Kevin suddenly heard a loud angry shout of a man hollering about someone fixing hair. He turned, curious at the outburst. Nearby, a couple of seafarers were unloading crates.
----
((Alright. I will try to match my response color to the characters involved.))
At Zero's remark, Allen, this time, did raise an eyebrow. "Pay to see it again?" He chuckled. It was, as Zero mentioned, amusing. "I doubt it could be triggered so easily." The lord's horse did have its quirks.
"Might I inquire your name?" Allen asked. He was always the type to want to know who he was speaking to. It was only polite.
Zero's latter comment, however, reminded Allen of how not everyone in Chronopolis was prosperous. Of course, he worked with the town council to try to remedy the problems.

Cassie watched as Alan sputtered for thirty seconds before his entire face turned red. Cassie swore under her breath. She completely forgot about the man's temper.
"HOW DARE YOU DISRESPECT ME!"
"Alan, will you relax. You're overreacting." She muttered, gazing at the blue waters.
" I AM NOT OVERREACTING! I TREAT YOU LIKE A DAUGHTER AND YOU DON'T TELL ME WHATS GOING ON?!"
Cassie looked on the docks and noticed people had begun to stare. "Oh for the love of.." While the man was still screaming, Cassie walked over and clamped her cold palm over his lips. "Behave." She muttered, a smirk playing on her pink lips. It wasn't really fair to taunt him, but she couldn't help it.
Cassie watched as his eyebrows twitch, which happens when he is both amused and annoyed.
"Alrighty then." He murmered before scooping the girl up in his arms. Walking to the rail, he held Cassie out over water and grinned. " To drop...or not to drop."
Cassie began to laugh. "I will kill you.. I'm not that good of a swimmer"

Zero was a little taken aback by the politeness these strangers were showing him. He was a farmhand after all, a slave in all but title.
"My name is Zeroki" he says, bowing deeply. "It is a pleasure to meet you"

Indeed as Carrie noted, people were beginning to stare if not already. Kevin was among them. If the captain was anything like his lord, then he would have wondered if the scene was a distraction from something else. However, Kevin wasn't. Instead, the captain was wondering if the female hanging above the water was a damsel in distress and if he should interfere.
In lieu of the festival spirit, Kevin decided that he would. There was no need to caused a scene at the festival, and in order for people to enjoy it, it was in the town's best interest to avoid anyone getting hurt.
Kevin trotted to the ship and yelled. "Hey, who's the captain of this fine ship here?" Because of his token hairstyle, most people usually recognized Kevin if they frequented the port.
((zero, I'll get to you a little later today.
Hmm... we need more characters. If anyone wants to play more than one character, feel free!))

-|- Can we!? I wanted like three characters XD -|-
Cassie began rough housing with Alan before she heard an unfamiliar voice distract her from her victory. Her amethyst irises glanced at her friend and noted he was in complete in shock. A smirk played on her lips as she slipped out of the mans arms and tripped him, giggling softly.
"And the winner is....not you!" She declared, sticking her tongue out childishly.
Cassie turned to the new guest and pointed at Alan.
"it's him. Unfortunately."
Alan got up, his cheeks red as he stared at Cassie, muttering and cursing angrily at her. "I'll get you for that." Alan turned to Kevin and blinked. "Captain Kevin. What do I owe this great surprise."
Cassie looked at one of the crew members, confused. "Who's he?" She whispered before the man clapped his hands over her lips.
"SHH"
