Well, I'm going to dress in Loli whenever I want, because I like the look and it makes me feel pretty. So, in my opinion, people can where what they want, and they should. 3nodding

PsychodelicPenguin [~Ama Lolita~] *polaris I think it'd be rather interesting to see. XD Normally you don't see older women dressed like that. I'm not against it, but it would be interesting. Like seeing an amish family shopping at a grocery store sort of interesting. That's what I thought too. Do Amish people go to the grocery store? I thought they grew their own food. When I was up in canada, I saw Amish/quaker/ some sort of lady like that at a pizza shop. whee the person you say might have looked amish but she probally wasnt amish just quaker because the amish are very strick and they do grow their own food, also they have no electricity and that such but the quakers are more up to date and use supermarkets and cars but they dress like amish thats all so please dont get them mixed up because i respect the amish for what they are id rather live like them, we all could learn a thing or two from em lol idk

I'd be giddy and happy, 'cause I don't run across too many people fond of amaloli, if they even know what lolita is, they usually prefer EGL and only know Mana's style (and occasionally Kana too, but still think she's EGL which is wierd but w/e...). I'm the only person I've ever met (IRL, not over the 'ent) who actually wears lolita, and amaloli. I feel very lonely... I am notorious at my school for my outfits though...

I am going through/went through the same exact thing... I felt like that at my old school. But I do have one friend who is a lolita. She's on Gaia, too -- NursePolaris. Maybe someone has seen her around? heart
She is the only other lolita I know IRL... people tease me a lot for my outfits and call me Little Bo Peep and Maid. It is hurtful, although it sounds silly. The teasing actually began to hurt enough that I switched schools... now I should be going to school with my lolita friend at the end of January. 4laugh I'm excited! I won't be so lonely anymore.
Where do you live? I am sure there are other lolitas nearby you can meet with. ^ ^~neko neko kitty~ I see no problem with it, I'm a gothic loli, and when I'm older I plan on still being one, unless it doesn't look good on me anymore then I plan on focusing on gothic arisrocrat. Exactly. heart

And if you would like to live like them.. then why are you on the internet? confused

Well, first of all, 30-40 isn't middle-aged. ^_^ I'd think it was interesting. Cool, I suppose. I love it when people dress out of the norm. Why on earth should teenagers be the only ones in our society "allowed" to do that? 3nodding smile

I think it would be kinda cool. As long as she's comfortable with herself, and she's wearing the clothes she loves, more power to her! It would be a nice change to see that. ^^

I hurt too when people said I'm a maid, but I got over it (until they asked me , when I actually did wear a maid dress, if I was some Ren Queen... stare ). There are people who like lolita, mostly anime, and J-rock, but they know what lolita is, even if they would never wear it (unless cosplaying as Mana). Then there are others who think that wearing a giant hoopskirt is lolita (nekkid hoop, nothing really over it), which it isn't, 'cause it neglects the issue of modesty... So I'm alone (you must also realize I attend a rich kids scool...its public, but its a rich kids school, houses range around 500000 for most people...). I don't mind being alone, I've come to like my popularity for being that girl with the most awesome outfits even if we don't know her name girl. Which once people hear my name (Recca) they usually don't forget it since it's so unheard of (c'mon people, it's not that hard...take the extra -eb out of Rebecca and you get Recca...). I would like to have some other lolitas to hang out with...but for now I can wait and spread the love of a lolita...

xp I know how you feel. I'm already the loser os the 8th grade where I live, the day I wore my Loli dress I got the most insults ever. They were really stupid and unimaginative like , "I didn't know we had a maid in our school!" or "Will you clean up my trash if I give you a dollar?" Crap like that. But all in all the people who say that are very crude and stupid. Living in the Hickish area doesn't help either. But I'll live!

Huh. That would be interesting... I think that it would definatly depend on how she looked; if she looked younger than her age it would be better...

I would like to have some other lolitas to hang out with...but for now I can wait and spread the love of a lolita... I saw a girl who had a hoop skirt on, in my Gothic & Lolita Bible. She had a long simple black skirt underneath, and then rosed twined around in the hoop skirt. 3nodding I thought of it more gothic... ninja I wish I could just get clothes to dress lolita. I have a few things. Sometimes I feel like im being a person who I really dont want to be. I want to wear pretty graceful and innocent things, but then my mother, and other normal people come along.. and it just starts to vanish. neutral Im in a school full of ghetto black people. They wear too tight clothes, or clothes that fall off their butts. Yet they seem to still make fun of others who dress weirdly, even if it's just an interesting shade of orange. I find them to be superficial sometimes, since they freak out when dust gets on their shoes. rolleyes All in all, I think I kind of understand your feeling of being "alone"...
