Mecho shifted to a slower dance, moving in a little closer with her, his side just a breath away from hers, "Try not to stop suddenly -- it may cause cramps. Its best to slow down.." his own chest heaved slightly in a slow, deliberate breath. After a while, he turned to look over at the sandy colored mare beside him, eyes soft and kind.
"I must thank you, Melody" he backed off a little and bowed deeply, though he gave a playful bobble of his head, Chiming the largest bells on his body, "It was a pleasure to dance with you."

Melody sighed, she knew she was forgetting something, she was danced lightly when Mecho came closer. She realized how even his breath was, and she fixed her's to match the nice, in and out flow. She already felt less exhausted, and she was silly to have forgotten the most basic rule of dance. "I totally forgot about that." A small blush crossed her face at him being so close.
She smiled happily as Mecho thanked her, for a dance she'd always bring to her mind when she needed to cheer herself up. "I need to thank you Mecho. I've been retouched with an old passion of mine that will not be forgotten again. It was a wonderful experience, this dance. And I certainly wouldn't mind to relive the moment again." She thought she was being subtle, but she wasn't great with this whole heart fluttering feeling.

bowing his head slightly, Mecho smiled affectionately, nuzzling against Melody's cheek lightly, "I'm glad that I could be of service, then."
Suddenly his ears perked up and he took a step back, a faint purpley flush on his cheeks as his skin flushed in the thinner fur around his muzzle as he realized what he was doing, "S-sorry. I didn't mean to force myself on you like that... I mean, we barely... Barely know each other..."

Melody's face instantly turned a beat pink color as he nuzzled her cheek. A flush of emotions washed across her mind, emotions she'd never dreamt of feeling. Just as she was beginning to form a sentence in her mind, Mecho took a step away and turned a vibrant color of purple. He was actually apologizing? He must not have seen her reaction at all! She wasn't embarrassed! Just overly shy...
"Barely know each other? I think I know you better then any stranger you might have met recently." She took a deep breath to calm her shaking voice. "And I enjoyed today more then you must think, cause I didn't mind the little close encounter at all." She took a little trot forward and nuzzle his cheek in return.
"I hope you'll keep me company again. You know, we don't always have to be dancing. I can think of a ton of other things that could keep us occupied for days. We could become the perfect set of 'strangers'." Melody smiled brilliantly and flicked her small tail behind her. A small chorus of bells rang out as she keep her face close to his.

Smiling, Mecho nuzzled against Melody affectionately, his eyes closing as he did so and his heart soaring high, "Or perhaps.. As more then just strangers, but instead Friends."
and maybe, soon, something a little more...
