Okay, so colour me confused. Like really. When I stepped into that sushi place, I didn't expect any of this to happen. I mean, I thought the place looked cute. I wasn't even looking for sushi, let alone this... thing. All I wanted was a snack. Something sweet and yummy, an excuse to check out the restaurant, something like that. When I saw the package of Hello Panda cookies I thought alright! That's perfect. I didn't realize I was ordering from the special menu. Hell, I didn't know there was a special menu. I just wanted a damn cookie.
Hello Panda cookies are so good, I just gobbled the package right up. It wasn't until I was leaving that I noticed there was a cookie still in the bag, pressed right up against the corner. I wasn't really hungry after eating the rest of the bag, but it was just one cookie. Surely I could have eaten it. Reaching into the bag I grabbed the cookie, pulled it out and before I could drop it in my mouth, I just got this feeling. There was something up with this cookie. Frowning at it, I lowered my hand, and stared at the cookie. It was only about the size of a quarter, sitting in my palm. It looked like all the other cookies I had eaten; small, round, with a little panda stamped on it. I couldn't figure out what was different about it. That's when one of the other patrons of GoGo Sushi just snickered and grinned at me. "Got something off the special menu, did ya?" I didn't understand him at the time. But man, I do now.
When I woke up this morning, I didn't expect to see this. Actually, I expected my cat to have finally gone through with what I knew he'd been intending all week--to be the end of my cookie's life. I could tell from the way he looked at it, that he wanted to eat it. It was obvious. So when I came down and saw that the cookie was gone from the counter, I wasn't surprised. Yoda had finally eaten the cookie. I didn't really mind. After all, it was just a cookie.
So I opened my fridge to get breakfast. Grabbing the milk container, I set it on the counter, and then I saw it. Running and tumbling and slipping all over my counter. It was this thing, this thing with arms and legs, this blobby thing. Letting out an ungodly shriek, I tried to swat at it, but for something that was falling all over the place as it scurried around, it was
fast. I kept chasing it around until I realized... the thing was trying to talk to me!
I froze dead in my tracks. What in the world was this thing?! Whatever it was, it took my moment of shock to race over to me, bouncing up and down when it reached the end. "H-hi! Hi!"
I just stared at it. It had said hi to me. Blinking wildly, I leaned over to stare at it. And then it hit me. There was a little cookie-ish part, and chocolate... and a little panda on the front. My cookie had GROWN. Well, if I had been freaked out before, now I was really freaked. Before I could say anything, it hopped off the counter and scurried off, calling "Lets play tag~~"
What the hell. Tag? I wasn't playing tag with some creature I could barely see! Before I had a chance to protest though, the cookie-thing was gone. I spent all goddamn morning looking for the thing.
Great. Now it wants to do something else. I think my cookie-thing has ADD.
