then this might happen. the people who see the live action movie first. and then say tht it was better. it could happen, in fact they might not even know that their was an anime, or even what anime is.

In order to make the movie good, it will have to appeal to fans of the series as well as to people who have never seen the series but want to see the movie. Thats all fine and good, but the Christian movie-going public will have problems with all of the religious references...(as if "Passion of the Christ" didn't piss everyone off enough...lol) I think the only decent thing in the movie is going to be the Eva's and the angel battles. Other than that, I think the plugsuits and characters will be a hard thing to do in real life on the big screen...

Well, that depends. Was the Passion of the Christ supposed to piss people off? Or did Mel Gibson know it would piss people off and so did he just go all the way with it?
Like Messiah said, Eva on the surface will appeal to the open minded minority and it's up to the creators as to whether or not they want to shock and anger people or to just entertain them with an innovated universe and storyline. Either way, if done correctly, the movie can succeed.

Live anime's are kinda strange, since a person can't really look like an anime character, so everyone's looks will definetly be changed a lot, I guess it could be good, but who knows. Even if it's bad, I think I'll still watch it, I'm kinda strange that way sweatdrop

I really don't know what to think...
Knowing what Hollywood has dished in recent months pertaining to "classics" (King Arthur stressed VanHelsing scream Cat Woman stare ) I'm a little concerned. But I will probably go see it...
There will be a lot of people (unfortunately, mostly "christians" stressed ) who will fight this movie for being "H1P0CR0USEE!!" to which I will shake my head towards. (the most recent thing they decided to complain about was Harry Potter...ugh)

If whiny Catholics couldn't stop Dogma or Stigmata from being released, they have no hope of stopping any movie from being released.

TheMessiah sybrid If whiny Catholics couldn't stop Dogma or Stigmata from being released, they have no hope of stopping any movie from being released. well, eva already has a history. but i hope your right Stigmata: Christ didn't want you to go to church but the Pope sends HITMEN OUT TO KILL PEOPLE WHO FIND THIS OUT. Dogma: Organized Religion is absurd. Catholics complained bitterly about both and did s**t about either other than lure more people in by making them controversial. Stigmata did not deserve to be controversial.

You don't have to worry that much about the Catholics stopping the movie. You'll probably hear some bitchin', but aren't going to stop it.

I heard people died from that movie...i remember in academic league.....someone in Wichita Kansas had a heart attack during the movie and died.....Evangelion wont kill people....at least i hope not.

Actually, the bitching will probably make people more interested in the movie. People will want to know what all the fuss is about. So, in essence, their plan with backfire. twisted
