The toddler merely nodded and followed Belle and Mimosa, knowing full well his mother would be right behind as they wandered to the Reptile house. "A house with snakes an' lizards? Sounds fun," he commented, suddenly eager to get to the reptile house as well.
"Feeding time? Well then, let's not lag behind and miss it," Shadai replied, giggling and quickening her pace to keep up with the children and to hurry them along the little pathways leading to everything in the zoo. Not too long after leaving the bird house, they were wandering into another. This one, however, was far quieter and had glass cages holding various lizards and snakes. "Hm, looks like we made it," the Egyptian muttered, smiling softly at Eilender at their luck.

The muggy silence of the reptilian creatures as almost stifling. Snakes and lizards of a wide array peered frigidly at their visitors, showing interest only in that the children could either serve as a great annoyance or a welcome snack. However, this endeavor was futile, as thick glass separated the snakes from the rest of the world.
At lest, until feeding time.
As mentioned, they had made it. Upon entering, the main attraction was getting set up. The worker appointed to the feeding had opened the door to the exhibit of a massive snake, slitted emeralds fixating upon the man as the muscular length of the creature fluidly emerged. There was still time before the feeding itself took place, but the view in the meantime was enough to draw gasps from the girls as they approached it.
"Wook at how BIG it is!" Belle exclaimed, looking to see Cody's reaction. Her sister was of similar sentiment, eyes fully opening for once as she peered amazed at the creature. " . . .Big snake. . . Very big. . ."

"Oooh, it is huge," Cody gasped, wandering closer to the glass to get a better view of the massive snake. Glittering green eyes fixated themselves on his green-blue ones, as if debating on striking out even though it would be a relatively fruitless attempt due to the thick, bullet proof glass.
"I see they're excited. So, what about you? Have you ever seen a snake of that size before?" Shadai asked, giggling softly at Cody's pure amazement and his eagerness to see the snake and other reptiles. It was rather cute and she figured he'd really want that snake plushie as they left. He rarely forgot the promises she made to him on getting things...

Eilender shook his head, clearly fascinated by the creature by the way he fixated on it. "We don't have anything quite like that where I'm from. Our wildlife is a great deal different from what I've seen so far." Pausing, he turned his attentions back to her. "What do yo think about the creatures here?"
Mimosa's tail languidly swayed back and forth in midair as she leaned in against the glass to fully behold the animal. The movement seemed to stimulate some response as the snake seemed to take notice of it and observe it. The feathered object, while mistakable for a small bird, still didn't offer enough interest to stir the snake into striking out.
Rather, the large pig that was to be dinner captivated the carnivore. The zookeeper moved away quickly as it was dragged into the exhibit, clearing the area as soon as possible as the snake lunged, dislodging its jaw to begin consuming it whole.

Shadai giggled and nodded, their fascination rather amusing. "Ah, my opinion? They're rather interesting, and fairly unique when you know where some came from. Although, I don't think I've ever seen a snake of that size before..." she muttered, peering over the toddlers heads to look at the snake as it began to devour the pig whole.
Cody stared in amazement at the snake, watching as it widened its jaw past what he thought possible and began to swallow the pig whole. He thought it was rather surprising and downright awesome. "Wow..." he muttered, watching the pig disappear and a bulge appear in the now content snake. "That was so cool!" he gasped, grinning over at Mimosa and Belle, his wings fluttering a bit out of excitement.

The boy nodded, also turning to further observe the spectacle. The engorged creature seemed content as whatever had remained disappeared into the vast, bulging length. Slitted pupils dilated only to refocus moments later, tongue sensing the air languidly as it turned again to watch the children beyond its chamber.
The girls nodded, although Mimosa was visibly more secure with what had happened than her sister. Belle swallowed a little, anxious at the spectacle. However, she put on a brave front and smiled at Cody, tearing her eyes from the carnivore. "I wondah how he do dat with his mouwth. It got so big!" The words were reiterated softly by her sibling as Mimosa turned to Cody, a grin playing upon her features as she chirruped, "Big!"

Cody nodded, grinning excitedly. "Yeah! Really big! Ate in one bite!" the toddler exclaimed, his wings fluttering a bit. He suddenly wondered what other awesome animals resided at the zoo and was eager to see them. "Hey mum? How the snake do that?" he asked, tugging on his mother's skirt.
"Uhm... Snakes are special and can unhinge their lower jaw to open it even farther to swallow prey, since they have no teeth outside of their fangs. I wouldn't suggest doing it though; you might break your jaw or never be able to open, or close, your mouth again," Shadai replied, warning them a bit as well as informing the children to the best of her knowledge.

The warning served only to cause the girls to look at each other before making some attempt for it. It didn't seem serious what so ever, but it was comical to sat the least. Belle's attempt did not yield much. The cow girl's mouth only opened a small ways, a feminine yawn resulting in her placing a hand over her mouth and flushing with color. "Excuse me!"
Mimosa observed her sister, half lidded eyes of blue falling away in contemplation before she made her bid on it. Rearing back her head a bit, the sloth child yawned. It almost seemed proportionately impossible how wide her mouth opened, revealing two perfectly straight rows of milky white teeth that appeared to be sharp for the tender ivories of a toddler. It lasted for a good two minutes before ending in her covering her mouth in like fashion to Belle, although not bothering to be embarrassed. ". . .`Scuse me. . ."

Cody giggled softly as the two girls tried and failed, only succeeding in yawning. "Nice. See what else is here?" he suggested, occasionally giggling as the toddler turned and looked at all the other glass cases. "Hm... What you two want t' see next?" he asked, eager to see the other snakes and animals now. What he had seen already had been awesome and the hybrid couldn't even imagine what he would see next. He figured that it would be just as awesome or even better than the other exhibits.

Mimosa inclined her head in contemplation before beginning to wander towards one of the inlaid glass cases in the wall. The exhibit was vastly different from the large snake beyond the glass. Rather, tiny neon frogs of vibrant colors hopped lithely around the tank, watching the children with wide slitted eyes that never seemed to close.

Cody wandered around, looking into each of the class containers with small snakes, frogs, or lizards, giggling over how awesome they looked like everyone else seemed to be doing. Eventually, the toddler wandered back to where Mimosa and her sister were. "Where next?" he asked, wondering if it would be anywhere near as awesome as watching the massive snake devour its afternoon meal.

After having swept over the area the girls wound up following Cody's lead, not quite sure where to go. However, the situation was quickly remedied as Eilender glanced down at the map he'd procured and found something interesting nearby. "How about the big cat exhibit? It says there are things called tigers, lions, and lynxes." Turning to see if Shadai concurred with the suggestion.

Shadai nodded, smiling at the thought. "Sure, alright, we can head there next; come on Cody," she replied, motioning to the toddler to follow them to the next exhibit. They probably would have just as much fun there as they did with the large snake earlier.
Cody looked up at his mother and nodded, grinning excitedly to Mimosa and Belle. "Let's go then," he called, slowly starting to follow Shadai, waiting for the other two to follow.

Leading the zoo expedition, Eilender began towards the exit and onto the path to the next exhibit. Belle and Mimosa followed in his wake, keeping stride with Cody and his mom to keep him company. The walk wasn't a long trek at all and they would soon arrive upon the varied exhibits that ranged from the frigid climate of the lynx to the sweltering, humid jungle of the tiger.
The first one that they would arrive to, though, would be the lion exhibit of the plains. Beyond a sheer drop beyond the high bars and a small moat, several of the massive, tawny beats roamed, with the pride lord perched precariously upon a large stone outcropping.
Amazed, the girls practically beamed at the muscular felines, Mimosa stating the obvious as she mused, ". . .BIG kitties. . ."

Cody gasped and rushed up to the fence, staring in awe and wonder at the large predators that roamed back and forth or lazed about. "Yeah, really big kitties..." he muttered, grinning at Mimosa and Belle.
Shadai giggled and looked over at Eilender, curious as to his reaction. "Good idea," she muttered, ruffling Cody's hair affectionately, causing the toddler to look up at her curiously for a moment before returning his gaze to the large cats.
