Shen huffed out a long sigh softly, finding haydens weight against him comforting for some reason, it actually did feel good. Normal, really rather nice. "Hmm...both jump in together, theres an idea.." a small smile crosing his face as he nuzzled hayden slightly "Well, feh, what the heck right? Theres nothing to loose from it, so we may as well. I just hope your prepared for the cold!" making himself shiver on purpose, tail flicking happily as he looked up to the rocks again.
The best thing about jumping off into the water though, was being able to climb out and warm yourself in the sun, always a nice thing..

The fact that Shen didn't pull away from the dark coated Herla made him grin joyously. It was a sign that he stood a chance. A great chance at that. The nuzzle that followed his voice almost made the words seem non-existing. As if anything before that nuzzle didn't matter. Hayden could feel his gut tighten and the butterflies zipping around. It was all puppy love until Shen decided to mention the cold water they'd be jumping into. Then things got serious, or well, sarcastic in a way. "Hah! I'm prepared for anything!" He bent his knees, bringing his body close to the ground as if he were only a yearling. Playful and enthusiastic.
The first thing Hayden did was give a little bounce of excitement to his step as he somewhat trotted over to the ridged rock. "This ought to be killer," his light blue eyes studied from the water to the rock repeatedly back and forth. He couldn't wait to feel that soothingly cold water and the way it made you feel as if you could fly. As a kid Hayden always used to call swimming water-flying. Sometimes, he still catches himself using the adorable term, but that doesn't embarrass him one bit. Everybody should call it water flying, just to get the world a little more closer to a taste at magic.
At last, he was on the rock, in position, looking at Shen with amused eyes and an equally amused smile. "Well, I'm ready whenever you are, stud." He couldn't help but feel courageous at the little pet name he laced into the end of that sentence. Hopefully, Shen wouldn't mind it, or better yet, perhaps he'd end up enjoying it.

Shen smirked snorting at the statement "Yeah you look prepared for anything" laughing at the young bucks stance, everything about this one, it just screamed happy explosive fun, like he was bubbly like this all the time. It'd been a while since he'd met someone so exuberantly happy, almost to the point where it was childish. He kind of liked that quality about hayden.
"It'll be epic my friend I assure you, the jump, the shocking cold heh its quite fun" golden eyes scanning the rock and the eager buck that stood on it, smiling softly to himself as he began to make his way up it. "Stud?" shen deadpanned giving Hayden a quirky look "My friend I'm not sure what your seeing, but I aint no stud" or was he, it was a genuine compliment, it was cute, shen loved it. He hardly ever got compliments, feh let alone teasing little pet names.
"I am ready though" moving up along side hayden, snapping at his ear and giving it a rough tug before releasing it, dashing forwards with a sudden burst of speed to take the jump..

The questionable repeat of Hayden's little pet name for Shen caused the young Herla to grow worried. Was the purple pigmented stag going to get upset at him for being so dangerous with his word choice? Then he spoke about not being a stud. Hayden instantly let out a soft but obvious, 'pff.' "Are you kidding me? You're... gorgeous." Hayden made sure the last word was muttered softly, secretly praying that 'Stud' wouldn't end up hearing it after all.
"Alright, lets go for it then." A sudden n** at his ear made the grey male jump slightly and he grinned at Shen with dreamy yet aware eyes. As if he fully intended Shen to notice he was flirting. He wanted the other male to know that he was beautiful. Very beautiful as a matter of fact. Having Shen rush for the edge of the rock, Hayden quickly joined him in the sprint. It was mere seconds before they were bounding off together, flying out over the crystal clear water and descending until they hit the surface of the lake with a SPLASH!

"Wooo!" shen couldn't help but scream as he went over, it was fun releasing all that air from your lungs before you hit the deep cold water. So cold that it stung when he hit it but felt so good! Eyes closed tight as he felt himself float in the water for a few moments before kicking to the surface, laughing and coughing slightly as he glanced around for hayden.
"Damn didnt think you'd go for it! Haha, you really are a devil ey' hayden?" shaking his head furiously as he tried his best to dislodge the dripping water flowing down his face. Oh yipes it was cooold, but certainly awesome. "I gotta say, I've never talked anyone else into doing this with me" being the delta that he was water was his thing, he'd been born around it, near the swampy areas.

The leap of the rock was the easy part. It was hurdling down towards the water where Hayden yelled out the most. It wasn't a truly terrified sort of scream, but rather a joyful one with a few whoo's and haha's thrown into it. The splash had to be enormous and the fish all probably scattered and dodged for safety, but that's alright. Better safe then sorry with a hoof in your face. Kicking his legs he swam upwards rather quickly, breaking through the surface and inhaling sharply for that first breathe of air. A little doggy paddle motion was what kept him afloat.
"Well, yep yep. I like to think I'm quite the dare devil." He grinned at Shen before doing a few slow but steady laps around the purple Herla. He just had to keep moving or he thought he would freeze to death. It was somewhat refreshing, though. It sure as hell woke him up. Hayden turned his attention back to Shen when he told of how nobody had been talked into this before. "I guess I'm either a very stupid boy, or ... a very smart one." He grinned at Shen and knew that it had been the right choice. Shen was a great friend already, and honestly, the only one Hayden really had. He dipped his mouth into the water and sucked up some liquid before aiming his lips at Shen and spitting out a stream of lake water in his face. "Hah!" He laughed heavily at his friend.

"How about we just call you crazy and leave it there" shen teased, yelping as he was spit on hah splashed by the dark daring male. "Agh! Oh you, your gonna pay for that!" the purple buck laughed mimicking haydens actions and spraying him in the face. "Pfft! See how you like being soaked" shen teased as he splashed around a bit, eyeing the other male that was circling him. Hee hee..whether the water was cold or not it didnt matter right then it was water fight time!

Hayden squinted his eyes shut at the sudden water stream lined into his face. "Ah! You!" He laughed as he swam circles around the buck. "Being soaked? It's pretty fun actually! I haven't been swimming in forever... I'm really glad you talked me into this..." In reality it was more like Hayden volunteered. "W-well... I'm freezing my tail off. Mind if we go warm up a bit on land?" He laughed with a slight chatter in his teeth. It had gotten to the point where his legs had gotten numb. He could hardly tell he was paddling anymore. Unable to take the decrease in temperature he swam to the lakes edge where he climbed out of the water and shook the droplets of water off his coat thoroughly.

"Im glad I talked you into this too, it was well worth it..eh..Whimp! You dont leave the water until your tail falls off, haha thats the rule!" shen shouted though he was freezing himself and way more then ready to get out. Shivering as he paddled after hayden, eyeing a perfect opportunity, while the male was busy trying to get dry shen moved up to pounce poor hayden.
Tackling his friend into the dry warm grass before he began shaking his own fur dry splattering water dropplets all over. "Hee hee, you know what...your kind of an attractive devil. Isnt that weird?" shen asked curiously nipping and tugging on haydens short wild mane, having fun just messing around with the guy.

Hayden was shaking the liquid free of his fur up until he felt the wait of something on him and he gasped as his legs buckled beneath him. He landed on the grass with an 'oof!' The wind slightly knocked out of him but he had enough left to burst out laughing. "Shen! You sneaky boy," his voice oozed with playful flirting. He stared at how close Shen was to his body and was very pleased with how under control he had his nervousness. He was starting to feel so much more comfortable around this gorgeous boy. Hayden felt most of that control slip away as he head the compliment slip free of Shen's lips. "H-hardly... I think... well, I'm having a hard time admitting it, but... if you haven't noticed Shen, I find you strikingly attractive." He felt like he was going to explode with giggles but he kept them all inside, keeping his composure to that devilish aura around him.

"Really my wild little devil?" devil it seemed like a perfect nick name, considering how sweet and flirtatious hayden was. Really though something like 'babe' or 'cuddles' certainly didnt fit the wild neon loving buck. "You find me strikingly attractive, tsk my senses must be insanely off today, because I havent noticed one bit" shen smirked a bit of a sarcastic tone to his voice. chuckling lightly as he chose to attack haydens ear next, giving it a rough tug before rolling off of him, moving to curl his own legs up beneath his body.
"Im kidding though, naturally. I've noticed..a little bit. I think you've been trying to flirt with me all day" shen grinned giving hayden a nuzzle "and I love it. Heh no one ever flirts with me! Well no one who has any good reason behind it" there had been that ivy girl but..ahh she was scary.

The meaning that was laced between his words 'Really' and 'wild little devil' really got his heart thumping. My? His. Shen's. Hayden knew he was exaggerating the importance of it but nobody had ever called him theirs before. He never felt as if he really belonged in somebody's life permanently. He's had days like this before. You know, those days where you meet somebody and they seem like a really good person and that you will be friends for a while, but as soon as the day is gone and another comes, you're by yourself again. Shen seemed different though. He seemed like he was going to stick around, and keep Hayden company.
Hayden smirked and looked down at the blades of grass, pushing them around lightly with his nose as he tried to find something to occupy his mind for a little bit so he'd calm down and keep his cool. 'He hasn't noticed you, dippy. Be more bold, be more-' then he heard the buck flop next to him and Hayden snapped his attention back on the stud. It was a good thing he had informed him that he was kidding around because the grey male would have totally believed him. He would trust anything Shen would say. He was kind of gullible to those who he liked a lot.
"You've noticed..." he repeated to himself as he smirked. "And you've noticed that I've been doing it all day long, huh?" That was the solid truth. Hayden had been throwing signs at this purple wonder all day long and finally they were getting down to it. They were telling each other what they thought. How they felt. It was a great relief of Hayden's part. "No one?! That has to be a joke. Shen, I don't see how anybody could resist your charm. You're such a stunner!" Hayden was a little embarrassed about his sudden outburst and looked down at his legs. His leg warmers were drenched so he bit the hem and tugged them off slowly. It was a good thing the glow sticks weren't affected by the water at all.

"Yes..I've definitely noticed hayden, it took me a bit but eventually I figured you were just flirting with me" he smirked and nodded as he spoke, the buck was really charming, and horrible at hiding the fact he was flirting..then again hayden had been trying right?
He chuckled and rolled onto his back, drying in the sun and giving hayden another nod "Nope no one, sometimes a charming personality just isnt enough. Its nice to see you think I have looks.." Shen couldnt help but blush at all the compliments, kicking at hayden lightly as he looked away "Shut up Im not stunning, gosh your going to make me blush you know that?" he giggled happily trying so hard not to feel like some young thing with butterflys in his stomach, it was hard though hayden was being way to sweet.

Hayden felt like he had the upper hand all the sudden. "Heh, but I'm tellin' the truth." He shrugged his shoulders high and sighed as he lowered them. "You know, you're the first to actually take my flirts as compliments. Usually others make fun of my quirky strategy."
"Hey, Stud," he began whilst staring at the sky, "you and me are friends right? You're not going anywhere right?" He wanted Shen to stay with him. He didn't want the buck to up and leave just as soon as the day was over with. He didn't want this one to disappear like all the rest. Hayden waited nervously for the answer, swallowing hard and giving similar nervous sigh as before.

Shen had to blink, shaking his head and hiding his face for a moment in the grass as he waited for his blush to fade, the truth..he was though wasnt he? It was just too cute.."Mmn, really? Heh it is an odd strategy but it works for you hayden" tail shifting slightly ears perking up as hayden used his nick name, at least what shen was now seeing to be a nick name, stud. Gods with pet names like that he couldnt help but blush.
"Yeah hayden, heh were friends good friens. Chee your my devil and I'm your stud?" he giggled as he finished the sentence, it was something hed have to get used to. "I wouldnt dream of it, dashing off not when I've got a good reason like you to stay around. Your not unbearable you know, and I need the company" of course he wasnt going anywhere had never planned on it.
