"Simple's better. It makes the hunt more exciting." But Aodh took to the skies after Osoreru: a challenge was one thing. Trying to scale a cliff like that using just his paws was an entirely different thing.
He forced himself to ignore the fact that he was missing out on the deer, as he circled around the bear, swooping at it once or twice to play with it.
Obviously, the creature was incredibly stupid: not only was it trying to scale the cliff, but it barely reacted to Aodh's threats.
"Looks like we'll be doing the bears good by getting rid of this one," Aodh scornfully commented. "Do ourselves some good, too. Then the next one will be more exciting."

"If you say so." Osoreru replied to Aodh's first statement, he hovered in the air, glowering down at the bear. Even in midair, he was flexing his claws. He snickered, licking his canines. He observed Aodh as he dove down at the bear a couple of times. His eyes narrowed. This bear was a blundering buffoon. He sighed. This may not be as fun as he had hoped... "Indeed it would be..." He agreed with a nod, his lips curling back over his teeth into a snarl. "Maybe a mountain lion would have been a better idea..."
He spiraled his way down to the earth, landing behind the bear. He growled, baring his teeth. The wretched thing wouldn't even turn around. It was merely groaning and looking up at the skies where Aodh was. 'Incompetent fool...' He thought to himself, looking up at Aodh. How the hell were they supposed to toy with their prey if its reactions were slower than that of a tortise?

"It finally noticed me!" Aodh shouted out the obvious. "I say we kill it, so we'll never have to deal with prey this stupid again." And, without waiting for a reaction from Osoreru, Aodh dove at the bear. He knew it wouldn't react to that: so, instead of letting it fall out of instinct, like any normal bear, instead he pushed it off the cliff face, and watched it fall to its death below.
That was two meals now, enough to feed two 'devas for a while. But there had been no satisfaction in either. Was the world trying to piss him off? Because it was really working.

Osoreru watched as Aodh shoved the bear off and down the precipice. He watched it plummet down and crash into the ground below. He nodded his head. "I like your style, Aodh." He said, laughing lightly. This hunt was rather... Ridiculous. He sighed, lashing his tail from side to side. He was fairly deep in thought. He wanted at least some entertainment for the night.
He thought of how humans hunted, how they were patient and surprisingly keen hunters. He vividly remembered some fishermen. They would use long tool with a string dangling down in the water. At the end of the string, there was something that attracted the fish like a magnet.
"Aodh, I have an idea." Osoreru said, shifting his gaze to Aodh. "What if we used both these kills to bait some decent, fun prey?" He proposed.

"Let's. There should be plenty of more interesting prey around."
He dove down onto a ledge sticking off the edge of the cliff, and settled there, so he could watch for whatever approached the bear.
"You keep an eye on the deer. Let me know if you see anything. I'll do the same."
Aodh settled on the ledge, tucking his limbs beneath him, so nothing below could see his fire. It tickled him, but didn't burn: he half wondered if it was just because it was his fire, or if no 'deva could be burned.
But that didn't concern him at the moment. What did concern him was how long it'd take something interesting to show up.

Osoreru nodded, observing Aodh as he dove off the cliff. At least he was beginning to exploit what he had like Osoreru did. He beat his wings a few times, lifting himself into the air. He saw Aodh on a ledge jutting out from the side of the cliff, concealing his flames with his massive form so he was harder to spot from below. Osoreru smirked. Aodh's white pelage was still conspicuous, despite the fact that it was the dead of night. He decided to keep his comments to himself, for whatever it was that decided to take the bait would be too preoccupied with the bear to notice the Modidaeva lurking above.
He sighed through his nostrils, gliding towards the deer. He had a feeling that the bear would be the better lure, for it was bleeding much more than the deer was. The deer was simply laying there, blood oozing out of the few gashes embellishing its back. Aodh basically killed it internally, destroying his spine. An effective way of killing, yes, but hardly any fun.
Osoreru sauntered over to the deer, placing a fiery paw beneath its neck. The flames smoldered its fur, exposing its bare, pale skin. With a mere flick of a claw, he severed its jugular vein. Blood sprayed his paw, failing to extinguish his flames. Oddly enough, the blood and the fire he manipulated to his will were the same colour. Perhaps there was a good chance a scavenger would come for the deer as well.

((Yanno, since it's dead and got no blood pressure, the blood would just drip, even if you cut its jugular or carotid artery. :p [/nitpick] ))
Aodh folded his blue and purple wings over himself, letting the darker colors hide the blinding white of his fur. There were still bits of white that were visible, but he wasn't too worried. No one ever looked up.
He chuckled quietly to himself at that. Diving at those who had no idea what was coming was one of his favorite pastimes.
He settled himself to wait for a while. Even though there was plenty of fresh blood, the area also reeked of deva, and he was sure it would take anything a while to get over that obstacle.

||xD Very true. I forgot about that... Meh... I'm too lazy to edit it. *Shot*||
Osoreru sighed, watching the deer from the skies. He had dimmed his flames considerably, but if one looked up, they would still be able to see them and his illuminated white paws. He doubted anything would look up unless they caught his scent, which was quite likely. It wasn't a challenge to catch them if the decided to run away, especially when he was airborne. He wondered if Aodh was having any luck... With another soft sigh, he dismissed the thought.

((How dare you be too lazy to edit. :p ))
Aodh watched and waited, watched and waited. This was starting to get to be more effort than he was willing to put in just to have some fun on a hunt.
But it didn't sound like Osoreru was having much more luck--or Osoreru hadn't shouted anything about seeing something, anyway, so same thing--so, here he was.
But man this was boring!
He'd even settle for another deer right now: at least then he could go and chase it before he killed it.

Osoreru was growing quite impatient. Perhaps they were not in the right area? A growl emit from the depths of his throat. With a single, powerful stroke of his wings, he glided down to the cliff’s edge. Below was where Aodh hid himself, or at least attempted to. He chuckled lightly. “Having fun?” He asked mockingly with a smirk. That position Aodh had contorted himself looked quite uncomfortable… Not something the black Modidaeva would be trying any time soon…
He analyzed the area, and it did not seem like Aodh was fairing any better than he was. His smirk faded. This hunt was turning out to be more of a chore than it was entertainment. He sighed, closing his eyes. He needed to pause and control this aggravation bubbling within him. His ears drooped slightly as he regained his composure. When he did so, his blood red eyes opened once again and he shifted his gaze back to the white Modidaeva poised on the ledge jutting out from the side of the cliff. “I take it you’re not having any better luck than I am…”

Aodh straighted himself out when Osoreru flew over. If there had been anything coming, it had probably been scared off by the giant shape in the sky.
"Nothing. Saw something once or twice, but it was only a couple of deer, and those ran off when they caught scent of the corpse." Aodh flopped over, and stretched himself out. "Having fun shouldn't be this much trouble," he complained. "Did we manage to find the jackpot of stupid animals, or what? First that bear, and now nothing's coming to get the free meal that's been sitting there for the past...for the past forever!"
Okay, so, maybe your sense of time got a little wonked up if you were sitting in a ridiculous position, but hell, even Osoreru had run out of patience, so it had to be a crazy-long time.
"We should go somewhere else. There's a spring of stupid somewhere around here, I bet."

Osoreru chuckled lightly. "These animals are turning out to be far more idiotic than I thought possible. Maybe it would be better to not go hunting for a 'spring of stupid'." He advised with a toothy grin. It would be exceedingly fun to hunt witty prey. He hoped Aodh enjoyed a good challenge. Then again, he didn't know for sure, nor did he expect that they would find such prey anytime soon, what with all the incompetent animals they had found. Such a shame it was. Where was the brain in other animals these days. Hell, even normal Modifoxes were growing more foolish as the days passed by, or that is how it seemed.
The black 'Daeva sighed. "Maybe baiting wasn't such a good idea... How much longer shall we wait? Five minutes?" He asked with a shrug.

"Pffff, hunting nothing. All you've gotta do is follow Rai and Sparkles, and then you'll have your spring of stupid right there." He paused. "With maybe a side of flamboyancy thrown in."
In any case, this whole thing was ridiculous. Ridiculously ridiculous.
Aodh rolled around in boredom for a moment, before finally righting himself. It felt good to be back in a normal position again.
"It's gotta've been five already. Let's go somewhere else. 'Fore Rai and Sparkles come back to their home spring."
As far as Aodh was concerned, there was no such thing as an overdone joke: it was just as funny the fiftieth time as it was the first.
Although whether he was actually joking about Rai and Sparkles and their spring was debatable. The words were joking, the tone serious.
"Also, you don't get to chose the next place, 'cause you're the one that set us up here. We're going that way." Aodh took off in the direction of some plains: they could actually use their flight there, rather than skulking around doing ridiculously ridiculous ridiculosities.

Osoreru shrugged spreading his wings. With a leap, he took to the skies behind Aodh, his black and purple flames illuminating the night sky. Osoreru peered down at his own paws with a disdained look. The bright red flames he bore were probably more conspicuous. Then again, Aodh was mostly white. A very bright 'Daeva...
"I hope you don't intend to fly us right into Rai giving Sparkles a joy ride..."

"Definitely not. If we do, I'll...I'll do something drastic. So drastic I can't even think of it right now."
It would be easier to be stealthy if they didn't have the fire that constantly surrounded their paws, but they could still manage. Maybe the prey would just think they were shooting stars, or something. Prey was pretty stupid, so how would any of them know that shooting stars weren't purple or red? They wouldn't, because they were stupid, even without drinking from Rai and Sparkles' spring of stupid!
