I don't even know anymore because people keep saying Christmas but they have like two or three more specials. My brain hurts.

As far as I know, there will be a two-part Christmas special after Waters of Mars. I can't remember where I got this from, though, sorry. sweatdrop

According to IDMB.com there's going to be a special on the 25th of Dec and the 1st of Jan. So there's just a two part episode left. Which makes sense considering how long they took for filming it after filming the Easter special. Then New new new Doctor.

I thought there's one before the 2 parter

What I heard was this: RTD doesn't know when it will air. Its not Halloween like everyone thinks it is.
It may or may not have John Simm in this particular episode. Timothy Dalton (that James Bond guy) is in one of the final episodes.
We do know that "he will knock four times" probably referred to the Master. Considering that there is alot of water in this eppy, it is possible the Master could regenerate from the Water. or something. I personally think it was Lucy who picked up the ring, but that is just my opinion. The fact that you heard the Master's laughter at the end of "The Last of the Timelords" would indicate his imminent return. Check the Official Doctor Who board in Entertainment Discussion Beware of the "official extended" trailer on youtube. The "real one" is only 0:55, not 1:25 or something like that.
There will probably be 3 more specials before Eleven. That's what I've been hearing.

We assume Halloween because it's a) in the fall, and b) around a holiday like the other specials were released.

"Imminent"? It's been a whole season and specials already, but it's kind of gotten to the point where the "knocking" statement is as obvious as the "You are not alone" statement. I just hope they don't hammer that in so much like they did with the YANA scene cuts.

Well, we've got 'Waters of Mars' and then a 2-part "Christmas" finale. So yeah. razz
As long as they use the "it is returning through the dark" and leave it at that, it will be fine, just Moffat doesn't need to deem us as idiots that didn't know what was "returning" "knocking four times".
I hope they do the last three specials REALLY good (as in Midnight level good) cause Ten just deserves to have a good three episodes in a row before he leaves Doctor Who. Even if he does the movie.

Just for orneryness, I'll post this idea....
WHY did the Master knock four times? Did the beat have significance beyond his madness? Could it mean something ELSE is returning that the four-knock beat referred to? I mean, the Master isn't an IT, if you get right down to it, is he? smile
And as I said in another topic.... Is there a reason why the 11th Doctor's TARDIS suddenly looks completely RENEWED? Has something just happened? IS SOMETHING BACK?? mrgreen
