Every movie has a warning telling you not to make a copy of this movie for distribution.

Plus why would someone buy a movie they're only going to watch once? Generally if I buy a DVD, Its cuz I really liked the movie and want to see it again and again. There are a lot of small people involved in making a movie and bootlegs take away from the money needed to pay those people. And like I've said bootlegs are rarely and I do mean rarely of good quality. Its like watching an old VHS movie most the time or stuff is cut of like full screen or the person has to adjust the camera. Plus the cameras used to record the movie aren't even that great. If you wanna buy bootlegs that's fine but don't try and justify bootlegs. BOOTLEGS ARE ILLEGAL.

Heh. If they're five dollars. I found a copy of The Descent for 5 bucks and thought it was a good deal. So I bought it. Big mistake on my part, what an awful movie.

I don't see the point in purchasing a bootleg copy of something, but I do support pirating and file sharing extensively. I'll go see a film if it's good, but if something is awful, I don't want to support the studio or the actors.

I don't agree with bootlegs of movies. I definitely don't agree with the buying and selling of them. I used to buy and sell legal copies of videos and dvds. I have in fact, reported people for selling me what turned out to be bootlegs.
There has been only one time that I have ever downloaded a movie. And that was so I could finally see "Song of the South" since it's never been available for sale in the US.

Bootlegs do nothing good for the community. They take profits away from the film's crew and cast and they basically promote crime. Besides that, most of the time bootlegged movies are crappy quality.

Theaters are awsome in every way possible so i dont see alot of movies at home but when i do its usually something like independent films or documentaries. I dont see why bootleging even exists ~ just to get a discount??? If someone really likes a movie they should wait and buy the dvd from a store. I think some people get dumber everyday but thats just my opinion.

Bootlegs suck!! I don't care who you are or what you say. Bootlegs suck. If you can manage to sneak in a super8 or something good luck. I'm sure the theater staff will let you set up so you can get the perfect angle of the movie. ******** spielberg over here.

And pay marked up prices that benefit mainly people at the top that do very little for cinema at all, other than censor and direct the political flow of the bis studio systems? Independent films are one thing, I'll pay for those, but even then the distributors bump the prices up something shocking.

I don't have anything against bootlegs but I usually wait till after the movie is released to see it. In fact, I don't d-load movies. If it's usually a movie I want to see and I don't have the cash to see it that weekend, I just go to one of the online movies site and watch it there.

I think that bootlegs are great for five reasons.
1. They are only great if you can see the picture clearly. 2. You don't get caught buying them by the cops. 3. It is easy to get bootleg porn. 4. Cheaper then that stores 5. They never come scraped
