I almost always go with Argonian. heart
They're immune to most disease, poisons, and they can breathe underwater.
They have great sneak and thieving capabilities. 'Tis awesome.
Kisaris, my character, is also great at killing pirates, necromancers, and liches. XD
By the way, my big bro, Jon, who got me turned on to Oblivion, says:

I like being a dark elf, but I've only ever tried being either a dark elf or orc. I will try other races when I restart the game again, so it is hard to pick my favorite just yet.

Dunmer are the best they are the most versatile of all the races they can break into any three of the archetypes and they make great hybrid classes plus they resist fire who can argue with that.

well there is a glitch for this called permanant enchantments so with it you can breath underwater and all sorts of stuff if you dont beleve me scearch that in youtube

Well, i may be bias towards dunmer, seeing as my fan-fic and RPC is dunmer, but I really do like them the best. I've tried all the other races, i tried to have a Dark Agent (custom class - conjuration instead of one of the agent majors) Khajiit... but it didn't work out too well, wasn't happy and started a third dunmer lawl ...And may Sithis have mercy on your soul.

I think my favorite are wood elves, cause I like stealthy characters and I get a bonus to speed and agility.
Second would be dark elves.

argonians are the best because all the diseases and poison is a great help to be immune to
plus hes a good all around warrior i am a tank and with the gray fox cowl i am a master lockpicker al0ng with the argonian security bonus is ownage
and it works with light armor and everything
not to mention water breathing

I tried to play a Khajit and I just had trouble playing it so I switched to Argonian and I really like I mean for an evil character Argonian have it made in my opinion especially with the breathe underwater, resitance to poison and disease since I raid caves and ruins. And I prefer to play with hand to hand combat characters than a mage or an archer so it works really well.
By the way my best friend is a Nord and my boyfriend is playing a Redguard.
