She caught his fist.

"You will not know, Child. It's time for you to go now." She grabbed him with her other arm and threw him out of the shadows. The then got his sword and threw that out too.

"DAAAAMN YOOOOOOOOOOOU!!!" That's all he could get out as he was flung out of the darkness.

When he awoke, he was back on the road outside the village, in the same spot he was before everything went black. He looked over and found his sword laying next to him. He sheathed it after he stood up and looked around, in somewhat of a daze. Things seemed to be back to normal.. almost as if they had never happened. Abel shook his head and tried to shrug it off. The cut on his side was still there, but the pain was gone. Realizing that he was supposed to meet somebody, he went on his way again, telling himself that he'd figure it out later.

----------

After a while of walking, he finally reached the village. The people were going about their usual business. Spring decorations had been set up in a few places. A few advertisements for the upcoming festival were displayed as well. Maybe the mysterious attack had meant nothing. It sure hadn't seemed to have effected any part of Learania at all.

Abel went into a local tavern, to wait for Sue, who had been told to meet him there. Obviously, he was still too young to drink most things there, but there wasn't really anywhere else where he could talk privately.

"Hey bub, Get me some ale!" A nearby customer called out.

"Hey yeah, I'll have the same!" another one confirmed.

The bartender went to get the drinks and walked by Abel, whose head was down. "Hey kid, you alright?" The bartender inquired.

"...." Abel didn't raise his head. "Mind your own business, moron!"

"...Pf! Geeze, kids today.... Fine, fine, be gloomy if you want." The bartender then walked away to get the other men their drinks.

Abel stared down in disbelief at what was coming out of his mouth. It just slipped out without any consent from him, it seemed. Abel decided to go out for some fresh air and wait out there.

As he got up, a man accidentally bumped into him. "Hey, watch it, kid. This aint no place for you anyway!" The bum announced.

Abel, who had just ignored the bump and had kept walking, stopped in his tracks. "....Oh really, now? And who the hell do you think you are? If you want me out, go ahead and try it yourself, you b*****d!"

"W-what'd you say to me, you rotten kid?! I'll teach YOU to show respect to your elders!" The bum proceeded to walk over and throw his arm hard down at Abel.

"....Pheh." That's all he said. Actually, that's all he needed to say. His actions did the rest. With a swift motion, Abel drew his blade from his back and slashed the man's stomach. The other customers looked over in shock, and some stood up, in disbelief. The man was clearly not dead, but he was surely down for the count.

Some of the man's buddies stood up and ran over to their friend. "What the hell do you think you're doing, you snot-nosed brat?! This aint no arena!" They lectured.

The bartender rushed over, after he saw what happened. "Please, no fighting!" He exclaimed "This place is not for fighting!"

"...Fine." Abel muttered. "Then we'll TAKE IT OUTSIDE!!" Abel suddenly grabbed the men and tossed them out of the window. He then jumped out and swung his sword at them, cutting their sides. The surrounding villagers stood in horror as some boy took out a couple men and shed their blood.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU ALL LOOKING AT?! YOU WANNA TAKE ME ON, TOO?! HUH?! YOU THINK I'M NOT ABLE TO KILL HIM MYSELF?! THAT THE REVENGE IS A LOST CAUSE?!" Obviously, they had no idea what he was talking about. Children hid behind their parents and other people quickly went inside their houses. "...Well, fine then! I'LL SHOW YOU!! I'LL SHOW YOU AAALLL!! RAAAAH!!"

His body moved and spoke without consent. It was a horrifying sight. And it was over almost as fast as it begun. There they lay; numerous citizens coated in their own blood. Some had gotten away, but very little. It was hard to say if they were dead. All the customers and the bartender of the tavern lay unconscious, as well. Abel, no, not Abel... something stood there, with a menacing grin on his face. His sword still drawn, covered in the blood of those cut.

He heard someone approach, but did not look. He just stared down... with that grin.

{Since Alihi found it best we go in pairs, Abel, she has volunteered to come with me.}

Sue rode inside, only to see the devastation that the thing possessing Abel had wrought. She wasn't scared surprisingly, for the war with Bern had desensitized her from a lot of things. This sight was so very familiar, almost a part of her.

But still.... she was a bit surprised to see the only one standing was the mercanary. It concerned her, and likely, her tactician partner who rode on her back as well. "A...Abel." the nomad spoke, her hand on her Killing Edge just in case. "Please tell me... you didn't do this..."

(( -slips in a post before leaving for Sakura-Con for the day- :3
Sue, make sure Alihi doesn't die, alright? xD Injury is fine, but death... not so much. ))

She didn't want to believe what was in front of her own eyes. Unlike her companion, Alihi was afraid. She didn't expect to see the town the way it was, with some laying on the ground, sliced by a blade, and some hiding in their homes, fearing for their safety. She wanted to keep up the delusion in her mind that they were completely safe. But no matter what she told herself, they weren't. The whole scene felt too familiar, an attack on innocent villagers, and she didn't want to believe that Eyris was now facing it as well.

Most of all, she didn't want to believe that Abel was the cause.

It was like her brain had suddenly stopped functioning when she saw the mercenary with the blood-coated blade in his hand. It didn't take long to connect the points together, and she did not like where it led her. The tactician just stared at him with wide eyes, her body refusing to move otherwise. T-this has to be a dream... A nightmare... yes... She trembled slightly as her eyes closed. She wanted nothing more than to wake up from this hell and find out that none of it happened, that it was all just her imagination and everything was alright.

But when she opened her eyes, the sight was still the same. It was not a dream, but reality. "W-why...?" She whispered in shock. This doesn't make sense! He wasn't even--

And then, it hit her, and she wanted to scream. The rules had changed, and Abel-- no, this thing wearing Abel's face was the proof.
They were no longer safe outside of FEFGA's. They could be attacked anywhere. She opened her mouth to speak, but no sound came out: terror gripped at her, refusing to let go. Her tears refused to flow, although she wanted to cry. She wanted to react somehow, someway, just do something. She couldn't stand seeing him like this. She wanted to jump off Sue's horse and get him back to normal. She wanted to find that Asami b***h and kill her with her own two hands for what she has done to her friends and for what she has yet to do. Hell, she would have been fine with just speaking the questions that were rapidly running through her head.

It was like she was turned to stone, however, unable to move, speak, or react.

Sue could feel Alihi's fear. If the both of them were fearful, then they'd lose. They could die, or even worse, they could suffer the same fate as the others, turning against their own comrades and spreading the darkness until none was left with a sane mind.

The nomad trooper refused to let that happen. Drawing out her Killing Edge, knowing Abel would leave her no time to string her bow, the trooper kept mounted on her steed and vowed silently to protect herself and Alihi. "No, I should know better than to think it's really him. You're that... thing, whatever it is. That thing that took Rei and Nils... give them back, you fiend! By Father Sky, what have we done to make you strike?!"

"Oooh, look who's here." the thing smirked "Sorry,... I guess I got bored waiting for you. You understand. After all, plains people are scarcely liked by the common people. That's less people to hate you now. Heh heh."

The Abel impostor looked up at last, and looked over a Sue, not noticing Alihi in back. He shook his sword once and some of the blood flew off. The grin had never left.

(( ... Okay, I lied. Maybe one more post. xD ))

"... Give him back." Alihi's voice was soft and shaky at first, trying to overcome her paralyzing fear. Hearing him speak... it made her realize even more than before that the person in front of her was not the Abel she knew. This wasn't the Abel she hung out with at the last two parties, the Abel she spent so much time worrying the about, the Abel she trusted above anyone else in Learania.

This wasn't the Abel she fell in love with. It was a fake, a phony, an impostor. But what happened to the real Abel?

... That's right. I told him... I told him when I first met him that I'd watch over him, to make sure he wouldn't get hurt. And now, I failed.

"Give him back." The tactician repeated, louder and more certain, her eyes narrowing and her hands clenching tightly into fists, becoming more and more aware and awake by the moment. She knew she wouldn't be able to draw her blade against him now, but still... her hand rested by the hilt of her sword anyways. She knew she would have to eventually. "Whatever you are... I don't care. But give Abel back!!"

I won't fail him. Not again. She closed her eyes for a moment. Abel... I'm going to do everything I can to help you. Her eyes snapped back open and she stared at the impostor with a determined, black gaze.

I promise.

"Ehhh? Who's there? There wasn't another person expected to show up here. What are y-" The impostor leaned over and saw the girl. He paused and gulped once.

Alihi! ...Something... ALIHI! about her....

The impostor shook his head and nudged it off. He then raised his sword and pointed it toward the two of them. "I wonder... how will I fare against the vice captain's daughter? I'm... dieing to find out!" His grin grew.

Arriving finally after sometime, Nometal then turned to the others and said, "Well here we are. Eyris. We should try and find Sue and Alihi, and join them before something comes up."

((I'm only post for now then I'll come on later. I have to go after this.))
Seeing Nometal coming into town, she ran up to him. "What are you doing here?"

"Valter and I went to inform of those in the surrounding area. After that, we decided to come here."

Quiet notes nevertheless pierce the air. Ganon strode purposefully through town, his mandolin held in both hands, claws plucking sweet, sorrowful music from the ether between the strings. The tune he played was strange, simultaneously triumphant and mournful, and somewhere deep in the soul, it pulled at the spirit. It pulled and twisted and strengthened the spirit, drawing power into it, heightening awareness. His comrades became more acutely aware of their surroundings. Unfortunately, at his point Ganon wasn't sure who was whose comrade. He didn't want -anyone- getting hurt. He continued to play for everyone.

Blossom followed close by Ganon, not wanting to peel away and walk on her own. She kept Ed's sword, the Aegis sword the chimera had been generous enough to lend to her, gripped tight in her hands. She didn't have her gloves, she didn't have her own weapon... she felt naked, almost, without Lysander. Even when she was wielding a lighter sword, she usually had him at least at hand when in the heat of battle. And he was sitting against the wall in her and Aidan's home. She had just sharpened the blade last night, too.

She didn't stray from the large snake-like man, relaxing just a little as she felt her senses strengthen. Her vision was clearer, her hearing stronger, she even thought she could feel the ridges on the handle of the Aegis sword better, and... the smell of blood in the air was thicker. Not as good.

Blossom hesitated on the path as she glanced to the side. Off in the distance, she could see a lot of people lying around. Lying in what looked like big puddles of fruit punch. Blossom closed her eyes, a sick look crossing her face, and it passed after a moment. Whoever did this... S-St. Elimine who could have done this? She looked at Ganon, trying not to look as frightened as she felt, then back at the inn in the distance, the bodies on the ground, all the blood. She took one hand from her sword and found Ganon's arm. Her fingers were too short, her hand barely covering half of the scaly skin. But she kept it there; she felt better staying close. Even if no one had told her to stay with someone else, she would have anyway; Blossom just naturally didn't function as well when left alone too long.

Valter flew slightly ahead of the others, so with that and his height advantage, he saw the carnage before everyone else. When he saw what had become of the city, he was only mildly shocked. After all, he had performed worse deeds himself.

But before he could start reminiscing about the good old days, he heard something that snapped him back to the moment. He could barely hear it because he was so far away, but he still felt the effect of Ganon's song.
