Smiling, she nodded. "Mhmm. At any rate, it seems to taste better." Or is that just me? Oh well. Shrugging it off, she grabbed another mouthful, then realized with no small degree of embarassment that she'd eaten nearly as much as him, if not more.

"Is something the matter?" he questioned, noting a sudden small change in demeanor. She looked a bit embarrassed. Then again, we've both been acting embarrassed all morning, he pointed out to himself. Even so, I think this might be something different- but I could be wrong.

"It's nothing, Toshiro. I'm sorry, I'm-.. I seem to have eaten more than my fill." She nosed at the long blades uncertainly. Tired and hungry. Perhaps the mushrooms had made her sick. They'd certainly done enough to the two of them the night before. "I guess I feel a little odd."

Toshiro nodded thoughtfully, deliberating with himself as to the reason. On the one had those mushrooms had had a really weird effect on them, so it was possible that they were what was making her feel odd. On the other hand, given last night's activities, there was also the very real chance she could be pregnant. Only time would tell really. "Don't worry about it," he replied with a small smile. "If you're hungry then it's probably for good reason. Though, if you don't mind my asking, in what way do you feel odd?"

Kindle smiled sheepishly at the question. It was an odd and silent resolve, a simple desire to remain near the stallion. Something she couldn't quite explain, either for ability or humility. They'd only just met, for goodness sake! She'd not even known him the span of a day. Still, the previous night was amazing, and it was nice waking up to that warmth beside her. Safety? Is that what we crave? Or is it companionship? Either way, it was brilliant. With a soft sigh, she cast her gaze skyward. "Restless? Perhaps that's the best word for it. I would normally be coarsing when the sun is this high."

"Coarsing?" Toshiro replied, not quite sure what she meant by that. Well, in any case, it didn't really matter much. "Ah, well, um, was there anything in particular that you felt like doing?" he asked. The stallion had never before been in this type of situation, so he wasn't really sure what to do. All he knew was that he felt like he should watch over her now.

Kindle laughed softly, the smile never leaving her. "You've never run with no particular destination in mind? Perhaps it's me. Coarsing. There's too much to see in this world to stay in one place." Leaning forward, she nuzzled briely just beneath his chin. "I can't exactly say I've ever been long with anyone. I'd thought to visit the sea, but Xiang is probably still somewhere near."

"Ah, that's what you meant," he replied with a small smile, nuzzling her back. Sure, he had done that before, he just wasn't familiar with the term. He frowned a little at the mention of his sister though. "I... don't think she wants to be found," he said slowly, a touch of sadness in his voice. "I guess she just needs some time to herself for a while."
He was such an idiot. He drove away his sister by loving her a little too much, and then he became intimate with a mare he barely knew in the same day. What the hell is wrong with me? the chocolate stallion thought to himself, shaking his head a bit. He realized that in his silence he had probably been letting out a bit of a depressing aura, and he gave Kindle an apologetic smile. "Um, don't mind me. Anyway, we could go to visit the sea if you would like. I've never been there myself actually."

Kindle leaned into him with a slight smile, though she noticed the sadness that flickered through his eyes. He had to be dreadfully worried. She was his sister, after all. And from the snippets she was able to recall from the previous evening, the pair of them had been together for a long time. "It'll be alright, Toshiro. She'll turn up."
With a twitch of her tail, she pondered. "Are you sure you're ready to leave? If you would like, it's lovely there. A little quiet..." She wasn't entirely certain how the stallion would enjoy the silent simplicity of the beaches, but it would give them something to do.

"It sounds nice," Toshiro replied with a smile. He always enjoyed seeing new places, and the quiet didn't really bother him much. And Kindle certainly made for pleasant company. "How far of a walk is it from here?"
(Should we do a time skip soon or something? Perhaps a few days or a week or so to show signs of Kindle being pregnant? lol. Just wondering.)

"It shouldn't be more than half a day." She beamed at him, happy now to have a destination.
(( Hehe it's good with me. Probably want to hit at least a week or so. Any thoughts on where to put them? Where they'll be best protected, likely. ))

Toshiro couldn't help but smile more brightly when Kindle beamed at him. Although things had gone awry with Xiang, he now had a very pretty and kind companion with him who seemed to be pretty content with his company. Things weren't all that bad. "Let's go then."

Eyes closed against the gray light of dawn, Kindle smiled softly to herself even as she dozed. She'd woken for the last week to the sounds of the waves breaking on the shore, and she'd loved every moment of it. And as for the stallion at her side....
Smiling, Kindle cracked an eye, nuzzling the form beside her gently. Toshiro had been incredible. Kind and patient as always, he'd put up with every one of these odd fits she was having lately, be it locating sea oats or laying with her through the afternoon. Yawning lazily, she snuggled against him, not yet ready to face the day. That had been more difficult lately, too - the simple act of waking up. She didn't know if it was the warmth or the content. Perhaps a combination of both.
In either case, she had to admit that this was nice. It was comfortable here at his side, and the company was choice. Toshi was sweet. She wondered vaguely how long this would last.

"Morning, sleepy head," Toshiro said with a gentle laugh, returning the nuzzle affectionately. This past week had proved to be better than he could have ever imagined. Kindle was very sweet and affectionate, and as the days drew on Toshiro was more convinced that she was carrying their children. They had yet to discuss it though. "Did you sleep well?" Regardless of what happened, he would watch over the female for as long as she still wanted his companionship.

"Hmm," she grinned tiredly. "Sleep isn't yet over, is it?" Though she had to admit, over the course of the last week, she had slept a lot better than she ever had before. Whether it was the sea or the stallion, or both, she was content to enjoy it while she had it. "How are you feeling, Toshiro?"
