She giggled. Sure he was just being modest, and didn't know he could hunt good. She couldn't really say, at least not yet. She nodded at him and didn't hesitate to follow him. Well, not like he hadn't been nice so far. "I'm sure you do just fine." She told him with a nod. Of course she had no clue he was slightly lying to her to make her feel better. She sniffed the air, but didn't catch the sent of a rabbit. At least not yet anyways. But it was worth a try.

He grinned and chuckled at her response. She was a cute one, indeed. Sweet and shy and child-like. But still a grown leopardess in her own right.
"You're just trying to make me feel better," he told her. "It's working, though. Thank you." Dole turned his head over his shoulder as he was walking, grinned at her, and promptly ran straight into a tree/bush thing.
The mass amount of leaves suddenly in his face and years startled him so much that he let out a yelp and skittered backwards quickly, knocking into Lulua by accident. "Sorry, sorry!" he apologized, his dark blue cheeks darkening as he blushed under his fur.

"Oh! Watch out!" She said moments too late for the other to see the bush.... thing. "Are you alright." She squeaked as she moved closer to him to make sure he was alright. It was her fault after all, he looked at her and wasn't paying attention to where he was going. Should she apologize? She wasn't sure. Then quickly he backed up into her which made her fall on her butt. She giggled. "Are you ok?" She asked again with a more giggle this time. He was sure silly, and fun to be around.

Dole laughed, horribly embarrased, and rushed to help her up from where he had pushed her down. "I'm fine, are you alright? I'm so sorry, I clearly never pay any attention to where I'm going." Usually, this was not true. Dole prided himself on his grace, and he had just made a fool of himself in front of Lulua, probably scaring off what rabbit there had been nearby in the process, too.
"I think I scared the rabbit off," he added apologetically.

She giggled a bit more. "No no, it's my fault. You hadn't done that if I wasn't here!" Though she wasn't sure of that one, but at least it'd make him feel better about the whole thing. "Besides, you didn't hurt me at all!" She stood up and shook her body to get any bit of dirt off her fur. Of course, not all of it would come off, but at least most of it on her bright light blue fur. It was hard sometimes, to keep it clean. But that was alright.
"Well, guess we'll have to look somewhere else!" She said with a giggle. "There's a ton of them anyways."

Oh, Dole knew how hard it was to keep clean. You wouldn't think it was that big of a deal with his darker blue coat, but it was. The lightest amount of dirt showed up on it horribly; it was the complete opposite for him than it was for her.
"That's true, they are everywhere," he agreed, shaking himself off as well. "Shall we? I promise to pay attention this time." He motioned towards the opposite direction, hopeful in finding some rabbits that way.

She giggled again. "Even if you don't, at least it calls for a bit of laughs." She told him. She didn't him to not have fun while they were on their way to hunt. Or at least, for her, attempt to hunt. She didn't know how she was still alive, apart from her stealing some other creature's dinner here and there, or getting lucky with a bird or rabbit. She never got anything bigger then that though. Unless with someone else. "Who knows, maybe I'll actually catch something." She told him with a laugh.

He shook his head at her and made a face. "Well, at least I can make you laugh, then, I suppose," he drawled. "You can catch something! I'll help." His nose sniffed and his ears perked forward a bit, catching another scent.
"See?" he said, lowering his voice to slightly above a whisper. "There might be something over there. Sure smells like it." It did smell like a rabbit, he hoped that it was and he wouldn't make a fool of himself a second time.
His paws crept forward, knowing she would follow, and he circled around to one side of the rustling bush. Dole's eyes met Lulua's and then pointed to the bush, then met hers back again. He silently told her to come closer to the bush. He would scare the rabbit, and then she would pounce on it.
Easy.

Lulua'line raised a brow, was he wanting her to jump at the bush now? She crept closer as quietly as she could, and then stopped. She looked at him again wondering what he wanted her to do, but then looked towards the bush. it did smell like a rabbit, and it was all that was in her mind now. Her belly gave a tiny rumble, but she didn't think anyone else could hear it. Her slate gray eyes watched both the bush and Dole. Waiting. Perhaps he was going to scare it out and wanted her to catch it. Could she do that? Her heart started to pound with excitement. Oh she would catch one this time, she knew it. She could feel it. She looked back at Dole, and smiled as if saying she was ready for whatever he had in mind.

Seeing her get the signal and reveal she was ready, Dole approached the bush again and placed his feet at a good angle. One last look at Lulua told him that yes, Dole, she was ready. Get on with it already.
He took a breath, and then roared at the plant. It wasn't often that he made such a loud sound, and perhaps all that had been building up inside of him because it felt..strangely good to release such a loud noise.
His roar made the leaves vibrate and in a split second there was a rabbit bouncing, frantic, out of its previously safe place. At first Dole's instinct was to pounce and catch it, but he remembered suddenly that it was Lulua's job to do that. She needed to catch something, because she could. So he held back and watched as the rabbit quickly scurried her way, unsuspecting of the fate that waited there.

The roar made her jump, but didn't lose her focus. She saw the rabbit and jumped at it as fast as she could. Her paws slapped down on it, though no claws came out, at least not yet. She wanted to make sure she got the sucker. Her whole body seemed to have landed on the rabbit, but not enough to totally crush it. More as if to hold it down to where it couldn't get away. It was much like a house cat catching it's first mouse.
Though, it wasn't her first rabbit caught, but it was her first unwounded rabbit. Normally she'd go after the ones who couldn't move fast enough, since she had better luck with them. "I got it!" she squealed with delight. Oh how she was so happy! The next thing was to get off the rabbit enough so she could bite down on it, or suffocate it with her body could work, but she didn't like the feeling of the rabbit wiggling around trying to get out of her body's grasp.

Dole laughed when Lulua used her whole self to catch the rabbit. Usually, you only put down your front paws and use them to leverage your weight. Squishing the rabbit to hold it down, yes, like she was doing. But also aiming for a good angle so that you could easily reach down and snap its neck without much pain or suffering.
"Good!" he told her, trotting up closer. "Do you want to kill it or would you like me to?" Sometimes, girls got a bit squeamish. Not that he did, or expected every single girl to do so, but it was sometimes polite to ask first anyway. He didn't mean to insult her, but thought that since she didn't usually hunt healthy prey in the first place, she didn't have to put up with this anyway.
"I told you that you could do it," he added with a grin.

"No no! I can kill it." She said with a smile. "now if only if I can get to...." She whispered to herself. She liked talking to herself sometimes, it seemed to sooth her when she was all by herself, but now with someone else around, it seemed a bit odd to talk to one's self, but she didn't think it'd hurt anything to do it anyways. It was a habit after all.
She shifted her body to where she had a clear shot of it's neck. Having most of it's body pined, it didn't have much wiggle room. Which was indeed a good way to catch a rabbit in her eyes. After grabbing it's head she quickly moved it trying to break it's neck while holding onto it's body. Snap And there it was. She let her grip go on the rabbit and let it just sit there. She was more then proud of herself, and she didn't even bother to not try to glow with proudness.

That was cute. She talked to herself. Dole knew how habits tended to be; he didn't judge. Talking to oneself probably ended up being one of the tamer habits he had witnessed. It was endearing for Lulua to be the one doing it.
It could have been a cleaner snap, as she could have done a bit better in picking her position, but it still got the job done. Now he was closer, next to her, smiling proudly at her. The rabbit had gone limp rather quickly, which was good. The less it suffered meant the less trouble for the hunter.
"Don't you feel better, now? Oh, but do get off the rabbit for a moment. You wouldn't want to squish the rabbit so much that the meat isn't good anymore," he teased her, nosing her paw gently so she would move.

"OH Sorry!" She squealed as she moved off the rabbit with a giggle. "Didn't think sitting on it would do too much damage. Tender meat is always better." She laughed. Though, what would she know? She normally eat after birds or other creatures or sick things. No, today was a glorious day. She could do anything... Well not anything. But she felt like she could. Her tail flicked about as she watched the other. "Now the real trick will be catching an antelope. "
