Blaze looked at the stone that was obviously Maera's child, but not his. He took a paw and touch the top of it was a dumbfounded look...now he understood what she meant by punished.
He then looked up into her eyes. "Yes I can." He had searched himself and still found love. "I don't care what has happened. If you want me back I'm yours. If you don't I'll still pine for you." He really couldn't help that.

Her eyes narrowed as they met with his. "How?" She took another step forward. "How can you possibly still love me when that child is not yours?" She sat down, her head lowered, tears on the edges of her eyes. "H-how am I possibly worthy to be loved?"

Blaze let her rant. He saw her tears and took his paw to wipe them away. "Because, you are you. I love you for who you are. It's not your fault I didn't find you, either. Do you still love me?" Maybe he wasn't worthy of love either.

She flinched as she felt his paw and looked up at him with sincere eyes. She didn't want to believe him, but she did. She didn't want to trust him, but she did. She lowered her head some more, her shoulders shaking, as she nodded.

Blaze pulled her close so he could put arms around her. "We both aren't perfect, so let's be un-perfect together." He nuzzled her cheek and let her cry.

Maera tried to keep them in, even after she felt him holding her, after she felt him there for her. She felt her cheek growing wet and her ears folded down as she felt her whole emotion falling out of her.

"Let it out." He said as he let her cry on his shoulder. He felt a few of his own tears fall at her emotion. He leaned his head on her's and felt her body shake with each spout of tears. She needed this more than she knew.

She cried for what seemed like an endless amount of time. Even after the tears had dried up, she continued to shake. She sniffled and wiped her nose, before a slight nudge by her egg made her open her eyes. She looked up at Blaze, her voice cracking as she said. "I-I want you... to h-have her."

Blaze let her cry and then was shocked at what she asked. "Really?" Why did she want him to take care of her egg. He looked at her and smiled as he wiped her tears away, "Of course I will." He would do anything to try and make her happy.

Maera nodded, and looked him in the eyes. "I am truly sorry..." Her eyes squinted closed as he whiped off the tears. "You will? Why?" She asked. She couldn't understand why he would want to take care of the egg. And this was before Maera had even asked if she could raise it with him.

"I will because you asked me too." He did what she wanted. "Will you raise it with me, this time?" He would still raise it alone if she wished, but he hoped that this time she would stay.

Maera smiled, for what must have been the first time in aged, and nuzzled into him. "I would love to... If you'll have me."

"Oh course I will." That's what he always wanted and even dreamed of. Having her next to him raising their children. This one wasn't his, but he would never treated any differently.
