The large, monochrome buck charged after Walnut, glad for the invigorating game of chase that their mock tussle had started. It was when clowning around like this that he felt truly free and wild, for there was never enough space to dart about. He inhaled and exhaled sharply and his silver nostrils flared as he pummeled the earth beneath his paws and only slowed as Walnut turned to face him.

He slowed, but didn't stop, keeping some momentum as he barreled towards the darker hued rabbit, ready for the friendly confrontation. He made sure to keep his claws away as he made to tackle the other.

"Too true!" He grunted as he pushed off the earth and aimed for the other.

The sound of air being heavily exhaled, and two bodies colliding was enough to startle some of the rabbits that were within hearing distance. Walnut cared not a lick for their thoughts on the matter however, he was all business. Claws away, he took the hit, losing all of his air in the process. Grasping for breath he twirled back to his feet and pounced on the playful buck, swatting playfully at his shoulder as he did this. It had been so long since he'd given in to any sort of play that he felt like a kitten again. The adrenaline pumped through his veins and his breathing increased, wrestling with Cowslip full on now. He knew full and well he'd lose the advantage soon.

A lopsided grin had planted itself firmly on Cowslip's features as he swatted at the darker buck in return. It had been ages since he had acted in such a manner! It was all in good fun and lovely practice for both he and his c hosen playmate, though they surely looked like a pair of overgrown kits to the casual observer.

He tussled with the smaller buck, but was careful not to be too rough. The last thing he wanted to do was accidently claw his new friend, or something of that nature. He grunted with assertion as he threw his girth at Walnut in another tackle. The disadvantage he held in this little romp was his size, he was larger and more forceful, while Walnut was smaller and swifter.

The last tackle sucked the air out of his lungs, and he lay there fighting on his back as Cowslip gained the upper hand. He would attempt his escape just as soon as he was back to normal breathing. Till then, he took a playful swipe at the spotted buck's nose, bonking him pretty good on it. Laughing, he turned over and attempted to run away again.

Cowslip stumbled back as his nose was popped by the smaller buck. It was enough to smart, but not hard enough to actually hurt. He wiggled it as a broad grin crossed his features and he shot off after the darkly hued male.

"Y'aren't going to get away that easily, Walnut!" He called as he took up the chase yet again. For the first time since his escape, he truely felt like he was fitting in.

Completely out of air now, Walnut had to turn and face his opponent once again. " What makes you think i want to get away!!" And he pounced on the fast coming Cowslip, launching himself in the air. What he didn't figure on was how fast the young buck was going. He completely flew over him, and landed on his feet behind the running buck. Walnut hesitated for a moment and began to have a fit of laughter, rumbling deep from his belly. He was such a fool sometimes!

Cowslip was quick to pivot on his paws as Walnut sailed over him, turning to face the darker, smaller buck. He wore a broad, lopsided grin and couldn't help but snicker as Walnut broke into laughter. He was unable to contain the hearty laughter that quickly ensued, as he and his new friend seemed to be having such a lovely time, especially as they practiced and honed their tussling skills.

"Bit off there, what?" He chuckled as he tried to quell his peels of laughter. As they subsided, he tilted his head slightly and twitched his nose.

Without warning, Walnut jumped on his companion, raking and nipping every so softly as to not hurt anyone. The two rolled a little, leaving him in a cat like position underneath the two of them. "Lets see how well you wrestle cow-boy!" He laughed, imagining his foe as a large bovine mulling around in the grass. Spotting Cowslips ear, he batted at it repeatedly, laughing all the while.

"Well enough, rock shifter." He grinned and batted in response eto the lapine that was pinned beneath his bulky. He placed a spotted paw against the earth to give him some leverage as he pushed his weight at the smaller rabbit in an attempt to knock him over.

Walnut, being as skinny as he was, managed to wriggle halfway out of cowslip's grasp. That didn't count for much however, when one's bottom half began to be squished to the ground. Fighting as hard as he could, it was no use, and the buck toppled over. Laughing, he turned belly up instinctively and began pawing him with his hind legs, being very careful not to use any claws. He hoped he'd at least tickled him enough to give a little. "Take that!" he laughed.

Cowslip hadn't really known he had been a ticklish fellow until about that exact moment. He would of almost wished for claws, the way his body shook on it's own accord, and stumbled back slightly. Mirth was in his silver eyes and a grin was plastered across his maw as he tried to keep back the peals of laughter that threatened to spill out of him as he tried to put some space between himself and the smaller male.

He hadn't expected that one at all.

"Just full of tricks, aren't you? Many could take a lesson from ya!"

Laughing, Walnut looked at Cowslip sideways. "I didn't think that would actually work! Tricks to learn indeed. haha!" Sitting back on his haunches, he took an ear and started to clean it calmly. " That took it out of me. I really need to exercise more." Walnut chuckled. "Maybe i should practice... i could get a position as a runner someday if i did."

"Perhaps... There aren't many, are there?" The splotched buck speculated as he backed away from his darkly hued counterpart and began to groom himself as he relaxed.

"You've got a swift mind, I bet you could be swift-pawed, too."

"Indeed. You know, i think i just might try! You've inspired me." The young buck laughed. "You weren't half bad yourself you know. There are plenty of others that would love to have your skill." Walnut looked at Cowslip sideways. He was indeed quick, though he worried that his colouring might make him a ready target for prey. Perhaps it was good to have such quickness.

"What is it that you desire to do after all? Make as many baby rabbits as possible? Or perhaps Owsla is on the mind...."

"Owsla hopeful, actually... But I don't know I'll be able to make it. One mark against me, already." He sat back on his haunches and indicated his pelt color with a sweep of one paw. His coloring did cause him to stick out like a sore thumb.

But he still had hope. And maybe he could show himself worthy enough.
