Naomi sat up a little higher and smiled as well. It had been her goal really to make him smile, or to find something for him to smile about. He even chuckled a little bit.
"That's okay," she said, "You don't have to like everything."
She closed her eyes as a cool breeze blew by, rustling her fur and giving her a pleasurable chill. She opened her eyes again and looked out over at the lake. They hadn't come very far away from it. She got the sudden urge to walk around it. Maybe they would see new things to find about spring that could make them smile. Well it was easy to make Naomi smile, but Flurry seemed like he might be a bit of a challenge.
"Would you like to walk around the lake?" she asked him.

Flurry looked to the lake and then back at the girl. He thought about it for a moment. Sure, it was boring where he was so maybe he'd find something interesting with her. "Sure, why not. Can't be any more boring then just sitting here."
The male then got all the way up. As he did so he stretched out his legs both front and back before being ready to go.

Naomi waited for him to stretch, still sitting in the same position. She didn't want to be known as boring, so she was trying to think of ways to make their walk around the lake interesting. In fact, his comment had for some reason made her nervous. What if he did think she was boring? She definitely didn't want to be boring! Maybe she would talk to him about something he liked - like winter perhaps. She had gathered that he really liked winter, and they had that in common.
When he finished stretching his legs she stood up and began to lead the way towards the lake. She thought of how the lake looked when it was frozen.
"Do you like ice skating?" she asked him as they walked, looking for something interesting to talk about.

Flurry nodded. "Sure, it's nice. There isn't much ice left now." He looked over to the lake and commented. It was water and cold water at that. "How about you? Is that something you like?" The male was trying which was saying a lot for him.

"No...there isn't," she replied to his comment about there not being very much ice now. "I was just thinking about how it looks when it's frozen. It's very pretty, especially when there is snow on it. I do like to ice skate too, it's fun."
There wasn't any ice skating that could be done now, but swimming was something you could do. Probably not in the spring though, unless you liked ice cold water.
They had reached the lake and had started their way around it, walking on a little path where the grass was worn down from being walked on many times before.
"What about swimming, do you like that?" she asked.

"No, I suppose you can't skate now. I do agree that is a sight to see when there is snow and ice on the lake." The male looked back over to the body of water and remembered. It had been a nice sight before.
"Swimming? I don't think so. Do you like it?" He hadn't tried it but he figured he wouldn't. It just didn't seem like he would.

She smiled and nodded her head. "Yes, it's very fun too! Not the same as ice skating, but it's still fun. Of course, you couldn't swim in this weather either, it's too cold. Even for namrah that like the cold, I don't think submerging your body into freezing cold water would be very fun..." Water didn't have the same feel as the fluffy cold snow padding that Naomi liked. Water was better when it was warm in her opinion.
"What kind of things do you like to do, Flurry?" she asked him. She hoped she wasn't asking too many questions. She didn't want to be a bother, but she really was interested in conversation. Walking around the lake was nice in silence, but when she had a companion she would rather talk to him or her.

"Swimming in cold isn't fun, huh?" For a moment Flurry thought about turning and jumping right into the water just to see if she was right, but he decided not to. If it was too cold and he'd be wet and have no way of warming up again.
"I don't know. Havent' done much really." Flurry finally answered her. "I guess snow watch, ice skate and other winter stuff. What about you?"

She smiled and nodded her head. Winter stuff was fun, they had that in common. "Ice skating and snow watching, those are fun things to do." She tilted her head sideways. "What about building a snownamrah?"

"Yeah, that can be fun." Flurry looked around the place trying to find something they could do now that it was warm and the snow was pretty much gone. Watch rain? Water...swim? They already discussed how cold that was. "So, what's a warm weather thing to do?"

Noami thought for a moment, and then a small rumble in her tummy made her think of something. "Picnics!" She said. "Are you hungry?"

"I guess that could be true. It is rather cold with the snow to do that." He nodded. "Sure...what can you suggest?" The others were somewhere Flurry didn't really pay much attention to it.

Naomi thought for a moment of something she'd like to eat that they could get for a picnic. There were always plenty of bushes that would be growing berries that they could pick, and there were fruit trees. It was still a little too cold to do any fishing.
"We could look for some fruit trees, or maybe a vegetable garden. Then we can find a nice patch of grass to sit on and enjoy our food."

"Sure that sounds good." He thought that did sound good. So, why not try? He needed to bend a bit more. "Which way?" He asked as this was her plan and all.
