"I think we'll do alfredo. Believe it or not, I think I've had too much red sauce this week." Shrugging lightly as he went about making pizza things, all fresh of course. "Mushrooms are a staple in this house Liliana. So in other words, we want all the fun stuff and none of the vegetables. Good enough for mer." Getting a pot of water out and setting it to boil for him and his wife.
Lici laughed at her friend's antics, as well as waited for an opportunity to snatch an ingrdiant. Mom was allowed to cut stuff, even if she couldn't cook it. "I like the toaster waffles." Looking down at Lilly then as she was petting the dogs. "She likes it when you scratch under her chin."
Caprice perked her big ears at the little girl as she came over to them, wagging her tail gently on the floor before nosing lightly at her hand in the 'I'm a good dog' motion. Giving a soft and friendly whisper of a bark as she often did to what she considered 'her own' twins in the house.

"I forgot about mushrooms! Mommy, can we have mushrooms, too?"
Sam chuckled at Addy's little display and continued slicing mushrooms before moving onto cheese. "Yes, you can have mushrooms, too. Do you girls like olives? If not, I can put them only on half the pizza." She let Lici steal some mushrooms and then gave both of her children some olives. Those two were olive fiends, just like her husband. "Would you like to taste one? They're not the ones that come from a can. Toby, set the table, please."
He pranced over to one of the lower cabinets and pulled out the plastic dishes they ate off of. "Want to help?" Asked to either one of the twins.

Lilly scratched the dog's chin dutifully, glad to make the beautiful animal happy. "I like olives," she answered Lici and Toby's mom. "I like all veggies. They've got lots of good stuff to make you grow."
"Me too!" Addy insisted. She couldn't remember eating them before, but she never had a problem with food before. It was all pretty tasty, except canned meat. "Kay," said with a grin as she dashed over to Toby to help.

Didn't take him long before he was finished with both dinners and was setting them both on the table. Regardless of company, they were eating at that table. Of course he was charged with pulling extra chair out and rearranging kids so that Toby and Lici sat on one side of the table and Addy and Lilly were on the other side, for comforts sake of the two. Cutting up pizza he plopped two silces on each child's plate before tending to him and his wife.
She watched as Caprice happy wagged. "She likes you." And then they were called to the table thus meant the scrambling off to it and plopping in seats to be served food. Of course she right out attacked hers and used fants to pull it apart as she often did. Fangs were fun like that. "It's really good daddy!"

She let her son handle the kids' plates while she set her and Xearus' spots at the head of the table on opposite sides. Their family always ate together, regardless. Company just meant more conversation and laughs to go around. "Have you girls decided what you want to do after dinner? You can play in Lici's room or watch a movie in the family room or something else."
He showed Addy where to put the plates and found out what she and her sister wanted to drink and told his mother. Taking a drink of his bloody milk, he tended to systematically picking the olives off his pizza and sticking them on his fingers like rings. He always saved those for last. "We got the new Spider-Man movie yesterday. We could watch that!" Picking up his pizza and taking a bite. "There's a kissin' scene though." Making a face at that and slipping Mercury a piece of pepperoni when Daddy wasn't looking.

"Eeew kissing," Addy made a face. She'd seen it on the commercial, but was sure the action would make up for it. "We can watch it though. Long as I don't have to watch the kissing." She proceeded to scarf down her pizza, bits of sauce dirtying her cheeks.
Lilly caught Toby slipping food to the dog and suppressed a giggle. She didn't want him getting caught. She ate her pizza in a much neater manner than her sister, wiping her mouth with a napkin if anything got stuck on the sides of her mouth.

"Oh! Yeah yeah! Let's watch that!" Scrunching her nose a little at the kissing. "We can just close our eyes. They have to kiss! That's what happens when the good guy saves the place." Nodding her head in sagely fashion.
He rolled his eyes at the opinions of kissing. Ah the days of cooties. Though he never had that cootie opinion himself. "You all can build a fort and all sleep out there. We'll make you a pallet and set up some snacks and the movie. Sound good kids?"

Sam smiled, rather amused at the children's opinion of sexuality and relationships. Ah to be that young again. She caught her son's eye and shook her head to warn him not to feed the dog again. Mercury was still younger than Caprice and he had a bad habit of begging which only ticked Xearus off. None of his dogs begged. No matter what. Snapping her fingers, she sent the dog off and began clearing the table. "Why don't you girls go get your jammies on and Daddy and Thobias will start building the fort. When you finish, you can help them."
His ears turned red when his mother caught him and he sorrowfully watched the dog walk away but was soon distracted by the rest of his pizza and the opportunity to not sleep in his own bed. "Yeah! We can use my car sleeping bag, too. Right Daddy?" Scarfing down the rest of his food and blood and hurrying up to his room to gather up blankets and such.

"Alright!" Addy said past her food, ignoring a glare from her sister. She liked the idea of sleeping in a fort, even if it was an inside one. It didn't take much longer for the pizza to disappear off her plate and only seconds more for her to abandon her chair to dash off to change so she could help Toby and his dad.
Lilly finished her meal last and grabbed her sister's plate with her own and took them to the sink. "Thank you," she said aloud, although it seemed most everyone was preoccupied with other things. It was the polite thing to do, after all. She waited for Lici before heading off to put on her own pajamas.

Lici helped clear the table as the boys and Addy headed off, knowing that mommy would be grumpy if the table wasn't cleared first. "It was good mommy." Waiting for you 'good girl you helped kiss' she moved to the back sliding glass doors and opened them with a whistle. It was her job to let the doggies out after dinner so they could go potty. Giggling at how they raced each other out, she moved back to her friend and grabbed her hand, pulling her into the room the kids would be staying in. "You gotta make it big so we all fit and can play too!
Xearus had stolen the chairs from various places in the house, as well as disssembled the couch and was making a structure with it. Four chairs to form corners, the rest lined with cushions from various pieces of furnitue to create walls, with a sheet throne over top it all with one side tacked on top of the entertainment center to that it encompasses the TV for movie fun. Of course he left a portion in the back top open so Sam and him could peek in on them everynow and then. Though he passed it off as a skylight for them and took the time to even attach a lantern to the back of the chair and hang it down through for affect. Granted his kids didn't have any trouble seeing in the dark. "Alright, Toby go get the movie and put it in. You can do it all by yourself this time."

"You're welcome, Lilly. I'll tell daddy." Since they both knew that Sam didn't cook. She helped Lici with the table so the little girl would finish sooner, bestowed the kiss, and watched her race off. Shaking her head, she turned to the sink and began to do dishes, knowing Xearus would join her to help as soon as the kids were settled.
Toby had already carried down his Cars sleeping bag and was spreading it out on the floor with Lightning McQueen's face grinning up. He plopped his sister's down beside his which had some kind of dancing girl on it. He didn't pretend to understand everything she was into. It was easy helping Daddy though a few times he thought he might have made things harder on him. But he jumped up and grabbed the remote with a grin. He'd just learned how to do this a little while ago. Pressing the appropriate button, the screen turned blue and he ran to the entertainment center and pulled out the case, putting the disc in the player and hitting the right button. "Do I get to have the remote during the movie, too, Daddy?" Because whoever had the remote was god.

Despite being such a tomboy, Addy's sleeping bag and matching pajamas were surprisingly girly. They were purple with bright stars and moons in silver across in a swirling pattern. Lilly's, which Addy also brought to the living room to lay out for her sister, was a bright green and covered with flowers.
Addy liked the skylight. Truth be told, she and her sister were a little scared of the dark, thought Addy would blame it all on Lilly in a heartbeat.
Lilly would of course, accept that blame. She thought this loudly at her sister.
Addy suddenly realized she'd been projecting unconsciously to her sister in the other room, and apologized, sort-of.
Lilly understood what her sister meant and came back with Lici without a word about it. Lilly's nightgown didn't match her sleeping bag quite as well. It was a pastel green with white lace frills along the neck, the end of it's long sleeves, and at the bottom, which ran just past her knees. Unlike her sister, she never was able to sleep with pants on. It always got too hot.
Addy pulled her sister to sit beside her on the sleeping bags and eagerly awaited the start of the movie. She watched with a little bit of skepticism to see if Toby really would get his wish to keep the remote. It had always been her mother's rule that the remote sit on a table or something. Nobody got to hold it. But of course, this wasn't their house.
Lilly complied and sat down, awaiting as eagerly as her sister, but without the negativity. She had no idea, of course, what it was Toby had been thinking when he asked about the remote.
She looked around at the hodge-podge of sheets draped over everything and wondered if it would all stay up there. Lilly never really did like the be closed inside something. But she was glad for the little hole at the top and decided she would also keep an eye one the entrance, just in case.

"Mm...long you you're fair with it and you keep the volume down then yes you can have the remote. But if you can't follow the rules, I'll take it away from you, understand? Now go change your clothes, all the girls are a step ahead of you." Getting a nod from the boy and he left the children to their own means to join his wife in the kitchen to finish cleaning up.
"Mommy! Can we have popcorn and drinks? We won't spill, promise!" Calling to her mother in the kitchen as they had come back in the room and crawled into their little fort. She wouldn't openly pout about her brother getting the remote but only because they had friends over. "Come on Tobi, start it before they fall asleep."
They because well...her and her brother were vampires. And though they were adapted to staying up during the day with the help of modern science, or 'vitamins' as mommy and daddy called the pills every morning, they could stay up all night without a nap or such things naturally.

"I promise!" He hugged the remote to his chest just in case his sister tried to take it from him and then raced upstairs to change into his pajamas as well. Shuffling back downstairs, he plopped on his sleeping bag, hit the play button and turned the volume up just a little bit so that the opening music was louder. "They won't fall asleep. No school tomorrow and they can sleep in, right?"
She was making out with her sexy husband in the kitchen. Why? Because it was fun, that's why. And the children were occupied. Backed against the counter, she had to drop her hands to his chest and tear her mouth from his, tempering her breathing. "We're working on it." Not really but they had time for one more heated kiss before the kids got antsy.
