Rivener smiled at Xiu's agreement for the picture, deciding not to mention anything more about the powers. Since really, Xiu was right. Riv would feel rather weak and helpless if he wasn't confident in his capability to take out anyone who might attack him. It was just different, as Xiu said.
"Just you alone is good, and if you could just come here to stand next to this tree, then there won't be a bunch of muddy kids behind you in the picture." Rivener chuckled, taking his digital camera out of his pocket and holding the muffin package under one arm as he prepared.
"Ready? Smile, or don't smile, whatever you like and feels natural is okay." Lifting the camera, Riv kept his red eyes on the lcd screen and grinned, his finger pressing the shutter. There was a short flash of light and tadaaah! Xiu was immortalized on the screen. "Wanna see?" Riv offered, tilting the small camera screen towards the other Raevan.

“Alright,” chuckled Xiu as he floated to the tree that Rivener had indicated and waited patiently as the other adjusted the camera, smiling slightly at Rivener’s enthusiasm.
A brief flash of light later and Rivener had announced that Xiu’s photo had been taken and had offered the frei a view of it.
“I’d be delighted to,” said Xiu floating over to get a closer look. Laughing softly, Xiu turned to Rivener “That’s a good photo,” said Xiu as he observed the image. “Now if only I could be a little less feminine looking all would be well and umm…Rivener,” said Xiu as he hesistated a little “ Would it be alright if I could have a photo with you as well?”

Rivener laughed aloud when Xiu protested his feminine looks. "I don't know, I think you're plenty cute. Lots of girls like that kind of look. And a photo with me? Sure! Here, let me just-... set this up..." Eagerly, always ready to have his picture taken, Rivener hurried to set his camera to delay, propping it on a tree branch as he'd done with Laz and then hurrying to Xiu's side, shoving his hands in his pockets casually with the bag of muffins under one arm. "It'll flash in a few seconds, be ready!"
A small red dot flashed on the camera and suddenly a flash. Riv floated back to the camera and brought it to Xiu's side again, cycling until he found the picture. "Ah, it's a good one, see? ...So how do you want me to send you this? Do you have an email, or did you want me to print it and send it to you?" With a friendly smile Rivener put his camera away (once Xiu was done looking of course), ready to memorize any information he was given with as much effort as he'd noted the frei's guardian's name.

“An e-mail would suffice,” said Xiu after he had viewed the photo and inwardly acknowledging just how photogenic Rivener was. “Just let me…ah…I do not have a pen or paper to write with…,” said Xiu with a touch of disappointment in his voice.
“Perhaps I could get my guardian to drop over to your place sometime and collect the photo? Or…you could always visit us,” said Xiu as he pointed in the direction of his home. “We live just straight down the road, turning right at the second street you come to; the only bookstore on that particular street. I am sure Hazeline would be delighted to meet you and your guardian as well and umm…with that I guess I had better be going,” said Xiu. “I had not noticed how late it was getting. Mrs. Bediever might have a fit if I do not return soon. Thank you once again Rivener, it has been a great pleasure meeting you,”

Rivener smirked at the string of things coming out of Xiu's lips, one thought after another without leaving room for Rivener to interject until finally a decision had apparently been made: Rivener and Aphismet should visit a bookstore, down the street from the park and in the second street to the right. That was definitely something Rivener could remember, and it was also something the Scorpion was rather interested in; meeting Xiu's guardian and seeing what kind of person it was who could so easily let their charge wander around when they were so young.
"I'll come and see you, then. Aphismet, my guardian, is always pleased to meet other Raevans and Guardians too. It was nice to meet you too, Xiu, but from now on be careful where you leave your books, okay?" Waving goodbye to the retreating white frei, Rivener grinned happily. This had been a good day.
That's when his cell phone rang, and Riv knew it was probably time for HIM to go back home, too.
