Lironax gnawed at his lip, frowning at the two pairs of feet belonging to him and Aludra and their refusal to do it right. To be honest, he had become very disillusioned with the idea of dancing over the past few hours, especially when he had stumbled through Aludra's dance class. Although he could care less about his clothes, the spawn did care about what people thought of him as a person, and by the end he had become throughly embarrassed.
And this practicing certainly wasn't helping. He could remember the sequence of steps easily enough, but for whatever silly reason, his muscles refused to cooperate. Toes had already been stepped on, bumps and falls had been frequent, and he had even bumped into Aludra's dresser and knocked over a pile of stolen items.
All of this was made even worse by Aludra's responses. Although he knew that his friend didn't mean it, it certainly added tons of pressure to get it right. Which, of course, made Lironax mess up more. God, it was frustating...
However, unbeknownst to Lironax, the situation was about to get even worse. As he nervously tried to successfully complete a complicated spin-step, his feet got all tangled up and he fell to earth.
Right on top of Aludra. SNAP.
Laying there on top of his bestest friend, mind already filled with apologies that had been repeated dozens of times, heart pounding against Aludra's chest and vice versa, time seemed to stop for Lironax. You could say he had been loevstruck. All he could see was the two-toned depths of Aludra's eyes, the modest shine of his bright hair, the rare emotion of shock painted on an olive canvas; all he could feel was the panic in his throat, the nervousness buzzing about his mind, and the irritation steamed off from Aludra into his very skin...
He couldn't help it. Trying to act as if it was merely chance (which wasn't completely implausible; it had only been about a second in real time), Lironax let his arms go lax and kissed Aludra, mind nearly melting at the sensation of their lips meeting. He didn't know what precisely he was feeling, but damn it felt nice...

This was frustrating. Not only Lironax's inability to keep up with the dance steps, but the sheer fact that the errors were bothering him so much. That the imperfections of another whom he held in such high regard were... somehow not acceptable to him! He didn't understand it and that only made things worse, only made his movements harsher, his punishments more painful, nails digging into Lironax's skin.
But it was when Lir's feet tangled that his breath caught, tri-coloured eyes widening as he fell backward, air forced from his lungs with the impact. There was half a second where things went fuzzy, forcing his colourful eyes shut to try and regain the ability to see straight. When they opened again, however, something had changed. Aludra stiffened when he realized that Lironax's lips were on his and a growl sounded harshly as he practically kicked Lironax off of him, eyes consumed by the red that usually existed only around the rim.
Aludra grabbed the first thing within his grasp -which happened to be his halo- and hurled it at Lironax, tail thrashing against the ground behind him. He took a step toward the girlie boy, halting himself before he went any further. "Get out of my room. Now."

The kiss, in Lironax-time, lasted both for eternity and for a mere second. Time halted to a complete stop, and yet it could have never lasted long enough, not even if the two children had stayed there for the rest of their lives. He half-smiled into the kiss; it was... perfect.
But, as he would have expected if he had been using his brain at the time, Aludra did not feel the same way. The boy let out a pitiful squeak as he was kicked off of his friend, falling to the ground and looking up at his friend in horror. Oh this was it; he'd really messed things up this time. Aludra was nice enough to tolerate his constant touches, but a kiss? No, even Lironax understood how far that crossed the personal-space rule. His mouth shaped silent letters, mind trying to catch up with the real world and formulate an apology that was so great, Aludra would forget all about being angry at him.
However, he wasn't quick enough. Lir cringed as the halo bounced off of his forearms and he quickly scampered out of the room, halo caught by his tentacle. He ran all the way back to his room without pausing, not even to apologize as he longed to, too afraid that... he didn't know, something terrible would happen to him!
Once he was safely locked in his room (and his desk was pushed in front of the door for good measure), Lironax allowed himself to dissolve into panic, throwing the halo mindlessly onto his bed. What had he done? Only probably jeopardized his entire friendship with Aludra, and for what? A kiss that he wasn't even sure why he wanted so badly! He paced around the room for a good ten minutes, trying and failing to think up a way he could possibly apologize enough to his enraged friend. Give him the halo back, of course, but after that? Lir was at a loss.
Finally, he collapsed upon the bed in despair, staring blankly up at the ceiling. His tentacle, happy to be within its proximity once again, reached around and grabbed hold of the halo, pulling it close. Lironax looked at the pretty thing for a few seconds, before grabbing a hold of it and pressing it lightly to his chest. He sighed.
Despite how scary it was, he couldn't have imagined a better first kiss.
