Elaine looked at the building, "Um..well, Im not sure really," she looked at the building, 'Its what she said it looked like..' she thought, tilting her head a bit. "I haven't been down this way, I think I took a wrong on accident" she smiled weakly, she felt like an idiot, again. "W-well, thanks for the soda..Sadiki" she opened it carefully, and took a small sip.

"Mmmm." He pondered a bit, placing a hand on his chin thoughtfully. "Well if you want we can run up to my place for a moment. You can call your friend to make sure." Already he was heading to the buildings' doors, hands placed casually behind his head.

"Oh um-" Elaine cut off as he walked away, "O..kay," she hurried after him, her feet sometimes tripping over themselves, 'Its nothing to worry about, Im just going to use his phone!' she told herself. When she noticed she was almost going to run into him, she slowed down and started walking better.

Timeskip: Inside Sadiki's Apartment~ --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Laying on His couch, Sadiki flipped the channel on his TV for no good reason, more concentrated on watching Elaine in the kitchen attempting to reach her friend. He didn't know if she did or not but he couldn't help but -watch- her. Though he was good at making it seem like he wasn't. As a matter of fact, his attention turned to the television as an episode of 'The Most Extreme' came on. His attention finally turned, he relaxed, stretched, and halfway closed his eyes.

"Oh..come on," Elaine said under her breath, she flicked her tail impatiently. For all she knew Kayla was probably out with some guy she picked up, "Oh, answer your phone.." After a series of rings, an answering machine picked up, Elaine sighed. She dialed another number, hoping one of her good friends would be home. Ringing was heard, then a machine, Emma was also gone. "Now what?" She asked aloud "Guess I could always walk, or take a bus.." She pondered what to do as she hung up the phone. As she came walking out from the kitchen, she saw Sadiki lying on the couch, 'is he sleeping?' she wondered if she should wake him if he was, or leave a note maybe? She turned back toward the kitchen to go look for paper, but tripped over her feet and fell. "Oh- ouch!"

He was just about to doze off when he heard her trip then say 'ouch'. Quickly he rolled off the couch and made his way to her to help her up. "Hey, you okay?" he asked worriedly, holding his hand out to help her up. He couldn't help but smile as she reminded him of his cousin; always tripping over himself.

"Oh," she took his hand, with an embarassed smile she said Thank you. Standing still a moment then trying to walk around a few steps, she was ok. "Im fine I think..thanks" She smiled at him, "Um..well..it was..nice to meet you..?" She didn't know what else to say, she had to find Kayla or Emma somewhere.

Standing back, he looked around his apartment. With Troop off on duty, the place had become -too- quiet. And although he'd never admit it, he'd gotten lonely. "Did you get ahold of your friends?" he asked her, making his way to the fridge and pulling out a bottle of Root Beer.

"Er..um..no actually, they won't answer." She felt like she was going to cry, but shook it off. "Sorry, am I causing you trouble?"

"Tch. Some friends. Weren't they expecting you?" he made his way back to his couch and sat down, patting the spot next to him. "And of course you aren't. If you were you wouldn't be here would you? Go ahead, sit down and raid the fridge if you want. It's getting late and i don't think you should be wandering around outside by yourself." As if it were the most natural thing in the world he turned the channel again, this time to the Food Network. "And if you want, you can go ahead and stay for dinner with me and my roomie Troop. Afterwards he can drive you to your place."

She sighed, "Well, one, my friend is a major, whats the word...slut? I guess? Not trying to be rude, and the other, well, she stays to herself most of the time unless shes at the library." She watched him pull out a drink then sit back down, "O-oh, well, I wouldn't want to-" she cut off, he was trying to be nice, and it was getting late. "Um..thank you, Sadiki." She smiled at him, not feeling that hungry at the moment, she went and sat next to him on the couch.

"Just kick back, Relax." he sighed, leaning back so that his half of the couch went back and a footrest popped up. It had been a while since he could just sit back and talk with a girl. "So...Do you like Chicken Fried Steak?" he asked as he realized he should find out what she liked so he could make dinner for the three of them.

"Oh, um, yes, I'm fine with anything." She smiled, looking over at the TV. "So..who's your roommate?" She looked around the apartment, "So, Im guessing he works? Do you?"

"Alright. Just making sure, y'know?" Putting his hands behind his head he watched the show for a moment before answering. "His name is Troop and he's a pretty cool guy. He's very patriotic and i can usually count on him for stuff. As for working...He works -somewhere..." He paused. He, himself, didn't work. But like most girls that had been in here, Elaine might lose interest in him if he said he was jobless. Then again...better to tell the truth, right? "And unfotunately i don't work. I can't seem to find a good job."

"Oh..hm, thats to bad," She smiled sympatheticly at him, "I can't find the right job either, I use to be a waitress" she laughed a bit to herself, "It didn't go over to well." She thought about what to ask next, "So, Troop sounds like a nice guy, thats cool. At least you two get a long, right? Sometimes my friends dont, their complete opposites." Her attention went back to the TV as she watched someone else appear on screen.
