So I'm Bass #4 and since I'm the most responsible person in the bass section and the fact that I have to most experience- I'm pretty much the section leader of the bass line. The snares and cymbols also have their own section leaders- we only have one Quad/Tenors/whatever you call them, so they really isnt a section leader there. But anyways, the Quad guy (because hes been playing drums since like 5th grade or something) was made section leader over the whole drumline. And hes a pretty good section leader most of the time- but there are times when me and the snare section leader will be dealing with our section trying to help them on the field and the Quad guy will get up in our faces telling us that we are wrong when we know for a fact that we are right. The last 2 practices hes gotten up in my face over something that deals with the bass line and I swear one day I will snap and knock him out. He wouldnt bother me if he would just calmly explain something to me that he thinks needs to be changed instead of jumping on my case and freaking out on me. The snare section leader doesnt like him either since hes always jumping on his case also.

well, theres two guys. riley and raul. all three of us play the quads. and last year, raul played the base, so, he has NO idea what he is doing. and it is SO annoying. but he's learning. then riley.... omg. he played the UPHONIUM last year. i mean seriously, what the fuge? hes worse then raul! we had a concert during band camp, but i skipped to go to an anime convention. which was a BAD idea. when my snare fwen david called me, he was like, "dude, vivienne. raul and riley SUCKED at the consert" and i was like DAMMIT. and they think theyre all good. but theyre not!!! UGH. riley is in third band. so thats good. ut raul is in first band with me. pft. stare

I was in pit for two years (no openings on the drumline) and last year was my first year on bass drum. We have a couple of idiots, but one's an ADHD 8th grade noob, so we can kinda forgive him. The only problems I really have with him are his utter lack of focus and that he never practices outside of rehearsal. As for the other...we're both taking over the snares this year and will probably annoy each other. He acts like he's SO great, but he's just not. He'll correct me on something, then make the same mistake, or he'll tell me to do something and the section leaders will be pissed because it's not what we're supposed to do. He's funny sometimes, but I usually want to hit him in the face XD
