@Falcon and others- in terms of less publicity in the guild. I believe it was decided that each shop will have its spotlight in the main thread. Also, Event that will be going on at the time, be in the guild on in the thread, will be clearly announced and there will probably be a post announcing it. Also me and hyera (i dont know it somebody else got in on it) were debating whether to do a weekly 24 hour mass raffle where each hour ONE pet will be raffled out, that will give a lot of publicity to each pet and the shop it will go to. I don't know if we're still doing this because I just came back from class and didnt have time to read on what is happening but I thought it was a great idea. Believe us when we say that we're trying our hardest to get publicity to each shop and make everyone happy, while showcasing each adorable pet making sure each will be in the limelight. Now it does take a lot of planning so suggesttions such as yours and everybody else's is much MUCH appreciated! ^__^
@amierith- yes i'm pretty sure that's how it is going to be done. Someone correct me If i'm wrong though

oh and I'm not sure on this but I know a lot of you are concerned about your pet being rp required and stuff. Of course, we're going to try to put as much warning before the pets is given out so that the person is aware of the requirements it takes to take care of her/his pet. Also, in the posts where we will be advertising your shop on the first page there will be requirements for the pet provided under your link, that's why we asked for a set of rules specific to your shops so on your registration. I suggest that if you didnt put in rules on your registration, make sure you do so!
ALSO, THIS IS A SUGGESTION, maybe, before each raffle or event for the assigned pet we ask the guests to go read your rules and post a line saying something along the lines of "I READ SO AND SO'S SHOP RULES PLEASE LET ME ENTER SO AND SO EVENT" this might be a little time consuming for the 24hr raffles though so we would have to make sure that they read the official rules before entering a raffle and posting a line about it too!!

Fret not, dear shop owners. =] Even during a mass raffle, every pet will be individualized and the shop rules mentioned. We will have full respect for each and every shop and pet even during mass joint events!

Ami, that was exactly right! Guild events will be like side show booths at a carnival! I mean.. all good carnivals have some side shows. and a row of games... and the main events.. :3

The shop owners will be able to run their own events but I think they will have to be run in the guild, there's a list of events on the first post here that says where each thing will be run i think, but yeah shop owners will run their own events if they want to do something special, but we do ask that it be for free or at least reduced price to keep with the spirit of the event, but that it just a request...

So if we don't want the pet(s) in question to be part of a mass raffle, we (the shopowners) would then be holding an event thread here in the guild? Am I understanding this right?
I know for the Hipponyx I don't mind it being a mass deal. The Fallen Rain I'm only a bit iffy on because it'll be a rare species, but I'll trust the staff on handling her.
For the Drifting Along, I was considering some kind of 'special' event though, since she was going to be edited quite a bit (at least I hope to; I need to start sketching out the edits...). Would this mean if I wanted to do something like an RP contest/story/poem/whatever sort of writing contest deal that she'd be put into an event thread here? I don't MIND this but I'd like to know for purposes of what I'd need to do to set this up and all. (And maybe I can lure people to the overall event.)
Two other concerns -- how will shop owners know who won, and how do we get the information we need from the owners? And along that line, should we send fully certed versions of the pets, or uncerted?
I personally usually send certed versions out or post certed/protected versions (partly because of what spawned the event) and also because certs often are the identifying mark of a shop and get people's attention the fastest. I just... feel hesitant putting out uncerteds for my shops publicly (although with the Drifting Along, there will be an uncerted available to the owner once the owner is known) -- I'm trusting to a point, but I was doing digital art before Gaia so... I've seen what can go wrong sometimes. :B (Hell even in Gaia's infancy ... someone jacked a friend's art for the art arena... when she'd already entered it and they tried to cut off the credits! *sigh @ people*)
My first concern is because for the Drifting Along I'd need a name AND a temper, alongside the owner. For the FR I only need a name and owner. And because I'm pre-essencing the Hipponyx I only need name and owner. (Otherwise I'd need to explain the essence deal, and that's a headache for an event - I occasionally pre-theme stuff anyway and apply an essence so... yeah. Pre-setting this one isn't an exception to avoid issues.) So yeah, that's why I'm wondering how we'll find out this stuff; will you have them PM the shop(s) or do we tell you what we need or what? (I know with the last major event I put myself into I was contacted directly by the winners and told them what I needed if they left out anything, since I think mostly I needed name/owner only - I pre-temepred the DA then, I think... I'd kind fo like to leave this one open though.)
I know I can't be the only shop who has some 'special' fields which are almost always filled by the owners (mood/temper or other like things related to behavior, or such), so I wanted to address this.
AND YES.... I write too much. Sorry.
I should have at least one pet off shortly, soon. The other two will follow soon enough I hope.

I do have very similar worries to Mintaka, though I know Maya addressed some of these in the PMs we shared.
I also would like to know how we will be getting information about the winners and such from the mass-fl/raffle. My pets from Souls Manifest are all individual to the owners, as in, to start off, they need to send me a list of traits so I can do their Daemling, and then from there, RP requirements need to be fulfilled in order for their Daemon to grow.
I understand you will make this known to the potential winners of any mass event, but it is just the receiving of said information that concerns me a little. Would it be possible for the staff running the mass events to have a Thread here in the Guild that lists the names of the winners for which shop? That way, the reps can easily get hold of the information without fearing that they may have missed it, and at least have a positive ID on the new member of their shop. Its just an idea, and may take a little work once the events are in full swing. Perhaps someone could volunteer to gather this information and keep the Thread with this information updated to the current event/stage of event.
Also, when would you like to like us to start setting up these mini-event side shows? I know I will be keeping two of the three pets pledged for an RP Contest here in-guild, with the last going into the main event of your choice, and it is going to take a little time to fully set up, as this will be the first true 'sale' of Souls Manifest, and I will need to play around with some ideas to make sure that the way I want it to run will be suitable and actually work.

Hmm.. good questions! They are a bit hard to answer since we haven't gone that far with the planning yet. Let me separate these questions in numbers;
1. Mintaka, you are right, if a shop owner is holding a SPECIAL event, like an RP contest or a concept contest or even their own paid auction then they will have to hold that said contest in this guild, the event staff will be really busy with the main thread (of course we will designate someone to oversee the guild events). In the end, the pet is still yours and you will get to do with it what you want, we have no say on that.
2. Mintaka and Malhyanth- we have not really thought about opening up the rest of the guild so owners can start opening up their "stands" since we just finished getting registrations in and doing some statistical work (worked 3 hours on a table yesterday XD) to see how many pets each shop is donating and what they want their pet to be part of. This will, of course be an issue that I will definitely bring up to the rest of the staff here and will get back to you guys on. QUESTION: How much time do you think you guys need to setup shop? Just so I have an idea of the date we will be opening them up to the shop owners.
3. Mintak and Malhyanth- I was thinking about making a thread to display the winners and their pets so that shop owners could get in contact with them. Or we could ask them to contact shop owners once they're done? Whichever way, those events that will be going on in the guild, the winners will have to be posted in this thread by the event host just so staff members don't miss them as well (we are people afterall XD) I don't know which way would be easier. This is also a really good issue you guys brought up and I will have to talk to the rest of the staff and get back to you on it as well.
4. Mintaka, we prefer that you send us the uncerted version but you could of course do some watercolor copyright markings (is that what it's called? XD) over it so they will be protected, we really don't mind that, as long as we have a preview of what the pet will look like, the same goes to you Malhyanth, if you could just send us a preview of any other pet in souls manifest it would be great (doesn't necessarily need to be the one you're giving since I know the nature of your shop) just so the people know what they would be getting from your shop.
Hope I answered your questions, if not let me know. Like I said for most of these I will have to get back to you on a later date since we're just starting to get organized and stuff. But they will get answered.

Alright, for the moment then the only one I'm eventing seperately is the DA, I'll throw the FR into the main event as well. I'll just have to ponder a good event for the DA then. And thank you for the answers; it helps before I ctually send anything in to know.

Oh... as a committee representative for planning this event, I feel it is in the interest of everyone... That we have a "Pet Claims/Redemption" thread. When they win a pet via any means in this entire event, they are REQUIRED to firstly post in the claim thread. We will also be keeping records from any games as to who won what, so that noone can attempt to falsely claim any pet whatsoever. Then, when that person posts their claim, we can both send them a pm with a link to the shop in question with that shop's procedure on how to get all applicable information taken care of.
With the volume of pets we'll be distrubting, we could also employ a few of these.. A thread for non rp required, one for rp required, and one for paid for pets... or something like this.

I think just the baby uncerted version is fine? personally I think it should be the responsibility of shops to make sure the winners pets evolve. oh and about your suggestions, agree with you grace, although we might have to get some more volunteers to help out with that..
