Scary eh? Well that's a compliment to accept. She did quite enjoy being scary. "Why thank you, pathetic little mare. I quite enjoy being scary. It's my passion." Neva glanced down at the ground at the smelly weeds, when she heard the other mare speak up for the flowers.
"Of course they're smelly. They make many others sneeze. And things that make others sneeze are known as weeds. Therefore flowers are stinky smelly weeds." She continued squishing an already dead one even further into the ground. "Now stop stuttering like a scared little bug. It shows bad taste." She took another threatening step closer to the other mare.

Thank you? Why would someone want to be scary? Cera was confused; she wanted nothing more than for others to like her and she couldn't understand why someone would willingly try to frighten others away. Wasn't it lonely?
'Don't stutter. Don't stutter,' she thought desperately, steeling herself to defend her little friends. "Th-they d-don't make everyone sneeze though. And t-they're very pretty and quiet and don't try to get in anyone's way on purpose." She took a deep breathe and focused on keeping her voice steady, but still unable to keep herself from taking a step back as the other mare moved closer. "The flowers keep m-me company."

"Flowers are lifeless plants. They can't keep you company. You really are quite pathetic aren't you?" Neva took yet another step closer, snapping her wings out with no warning. A couple of loose feathers floated gently to the ground. They landed upon the severely bruised petals from the petals she had already killed off.
She pulled her wings back into her sides as she shook her head. "You still are stuttering. Quit it. Also get some real friends. Flowers are still smelly weeds."

Cera jumped and let out a distressed whinny at the sudden snap of wings. Her eyes followed the feathers drifting to the ground, brushing over the fallen feathers. "F-flowers," she started before stopping, breathing and starting again. "They might just be plants but they are all I have."
'Keep going,' she thought to herself. 'Please don't stutter,' she pleaded with herself. "I don't have any real friends, so I stay with my flowers. They don't hurt me or yell at me or try to s-scare me. I've never met anyone outside of my herd before you." Her mouth was dry when she finished talking; she had never spoken so much at once before in her life.

Neva smirked, pleased that the effect that she had wanted had worked quite to her advantage. "Stop being so jumpy as well. Such a pathetic mare you are. As for the weeds, go out and get a life." She glared at the mare as she spoke.
"Friends are over rated anyways, but at least it's better than silly weeds. You'll never get through life like this. No wonder you're such a pathetic little mare. Perhaps I should just squish you like your precious weeds and end your life now. If you're dead then you wouldn't have to interact with anyone. It all works out." Neva took yet another step towards the mare, making it seem she was going to follow through with her threat.

"S-Stop calling them weeds," Cera replied, steadfastly as she could. She didn't have anyone else to try and protect and even though they really were just flowers, they had at least stayed with her when no one else would.
"You don't l-like friends and you don't like flowers," Cera said, taking a backwards step to put more distance between the two of them. "That's lonely, i-isn't it? My flowers are the only ones that stay with me, so I c-can't just leave them." She shook as the wind mare took another step, and managed to hide and violent squeak at the threat. "I-I--" she words trembled violently as she saw the cold gleam in the mare's eyes. "I just want to st-stay with my flowers, s-so-so--"

"My life as a wanderer isn't that lonely. I come across the most annoying of creatures. Always butting their noses into my business. It's always fun putting them into their place. I've even fought against a couple of kalonas and survived." Neva stared at the other mare as if she were nothing but a flower waiting to be squished.
"What part about stop stuttering do you not remember!" The mare lashed out angrily her teeth snapping at the air. "Stop. Stuttering. You. Stupid. Pathetic. Mare. You'll never be able to stand up to anyone if you're always stuttering. Stupid."

"K-k-Kalonas?!" That made Cera jump, eyes wide in terror. She'd never actually met a Kalona but she'd seen pictures of what they looked like: dark and intimidating, with sharp fangs and spikes. How could someone every fight one and survive? She had stopped shaking, but backed away warily from the mare, eyes darting back and forth, wanting to flee more than ever.
"I-I'm trying to stop st-stuttering. I really am, but you're really, really scary right now." Her words who broken and choppy as she tried to keep the stuttering to a minimum. The more she tried to stop stuttering and the more the other mare told her to stop the more terrified to became and the more she stuttered. "Why are you being so mean? I'm trying but i-it's hard when you're yelling at me." She shrunk back a bit, trying to make herself curl up into a ball and disappear.

"Yes. Kalonas. One even had multiple sets of horns. Oh they are tricky beings." She thought back to the encounters and smiled to herself. Ah those were the days.
"Why am I being so mean? How will you ever get through the rest of your life if you're doing nothing but hiding in those stupid smelly weeds?" She glared at the other mare, her eyes seemed to be full of blackness. "You'll be dead if you encountered someone. As it is you're coming close to being squashed under my hooves. You are such a pathetic mare. You really won't make it in the world." And yet again she took another step towards the mare, her eyes now showing almost as if she were ready to hunt.
