Staying where she was by the curtain of the willow tree, Zahara watched, entertained by the little one's energy and pleased by his suddenly high spirits. She did not like to see anyone looking upset or unhappy!
"Yes, it is indeed morning..." Zahara walked slowly into the sunlight; tilting her head back and closing her eyes, she started floating, shimmered slightly in her element "...the sun is so glorious today!" Bringing herself back to earth, Zahara looked up at Daskri and blinked at him a few times.
"I thought for sure the first thing you would do little one, would be to take advantage of the waterfall... but you surprise me yet again! How do you like my sunrock? You might be able to just see over the canopy of the trees if you try... it would probably make a wonderful painting, provided one enjoys the color green!"
Watching the twilif enjoying the sun, she thought about what he had said about his painting... does no one indulge him at all? How sad, he is such an amiable little thing. Zahara wondered what to do about letting the little one show off some of his work.

Daskri nodded laying back and opening his eyes, squinting a bit at the bright warm rays of sun. "I do intend to take full advantage of your beautiful waterfall zahara, I assure you. I can hold off the urge to remove the dirt a little bit longer though" he sighed quietly, a bath would be nice truly nice, especially for his poor hair, that would take forever to do. After spending so long beneath the dark canopy of trees all he wanted to do for the moment was bask in the glorious sun, warm himself a bit and remember how pretty the light was. "The sun is glorious today" he echoed her statement, siting up slowly and giving her a curious look.
"Hee hee! I love your sun rock, its perfect." he laughed brightly giving her a grin "Green? Well considering I am green, yes I'd imagine it's one of my favorite colors, greens and golds and other vibrant colors!" he giggled as he got to his feet, standing up on his tippy toes and looking about. It was true, you could just barely see over the tree line, and it was breath taking.
"Ah..painting?" was she suggesting what he thought she was suggesting, looking down on her tilting his head as he mulled it over "Are you sure, I mean if you'd like me to paint something I would love to, but your hideaway is already so perfect..I'd hate to ruin it" he muttered softly, was she asking him to paint something, was she really? While it made his little heart flutter it also made him nervous, zahara had such a beautiful home.

Seeing the gleam of hope that lit up the little one's eyes, Zahara decided she had to find a way for Daskri to paint something... though she wanted to see him paint, she was feeling somewhat selfish in not really wanting to have her sanctuary altered.
Guiltily looking up at the sunning twilif, Zahara tried to think of somewhere... the rock face on the far side of the waterfall! It was flat even, what a perfect canvas for such an enthusiastic artist! And it was so tall! There was lots of space for anything that Daskri could imagine creating.
"I would love to see your work Daskri Mal, I know of a canvas for you too..." Zahara grinned with anticipation, "one I think might be big enough for even your imagination!"
Laughing softly to herself, Zahara turned and started to walk towards the waterfall.
Looking over her shoulder with another impish grin, Zahara called back to the twilif. "Are you going to follow now Daskri Mal, or would you prefer to sun yourself a while longer?"

Daskri blinked, slowly slipping down from the rock as she beckoned him. "You would? Honestly!" he giggled softly "I would be happy to oblige you then! Haha, I doubt any one canvas can hold all of my imagination" still he had to see it, it sounded marvelous, he oohed as she spoke of it, a canvas! What canvas where? His little mind buzzing as he happily trotted after her, stopping for only a moment as he remembered his original reason for coming here..
"Oh no I'm quite good on sun, but..eh..I was wondering, if maybe I could use your waterfall?" he asked almost sheepishly, looking himself over and realizing only now that he was hardly presentable, specially for being in her graces like this. "Chee I'm a mess, If I can just redo my hair quickly though then I'll be ready to go" daskri added on eagerly, glancing between her and the falls the pool the deliciously cold looking water fell into and rippled across noisily.

In graceful, bounding leaps, Zahara ascended the waterfall; using the rocks that penetrated the spray as her stepping stones. Stopping at the apex of the sparkling tumble of water, the constellation idly searched the rising mists for a rainbow to play with.
"Please feel free Daskri Mal, you look somewhat uncomfortable with the grit stuck in your hair," Zahara was smiling as she spoke, teasing lightly and hoping the little one did not think she was laughing at his expense.
"Though... while you clean up... would it be entirely rude of me to inquire as to how you came to be in the state I found you in?" Looking down at the twilif, Zahara waited, curious to see if the young one would divulge his adventures.

"Thank you!" Daskri smiled softly, he kind of wanted to chuckle at how she used his full name every time, it was nice though very respectful despite the fact that she was indeed a constellation. A very graceful one at that, watching her idly as he slipped into the cold pool of water, shivering and shaking at first for it was cold. The little green twilif holding his breath as he slipped beneath the rippling water briefly.
Popping back up with a gasp and floating out to the center "Only a bit uncomfortable, my hair is my prize and I care for it well, to have things in it. Well anything other then paint is just unacceptable!" he huffed slightly, scrubbing his little face. It was cold but he enjoyed it, nice and refreshing.
"Ahm? Oh not at all zahara! After all it was you who came upon me and offered me the comfort of your home, I would gladly tell you how I ended up in such a messy state" the twilif giggled, working through the messy little tangles of his hair, watching with glee as bits of grass and twig began to float free. "Ah..now let see where to start. Well first there was this horrid man! A farmer or something, who got quite angry at me for painting his brown cows spots green..honestly I thought it looked lovely on her, but the man disagreed..heh I prefer living canvas's by the way. Odd I know.." he frowned, glaring at a particular brown leaf that floated by, as if condemning the inanimate thing for being caught in his mane of hair.
"Anyways..the man was rather angry and so he chased me with his evil little dogs. Well the dogs weren't so bad, the man though loud and fat and he had a large stick and." he stopped mid sentence thinking "Well it was just unpleasant so! Here I was chased off of his land and out into this thick forest. Which wasn't so bad to begin with but after a time I found myself quite lost. Very very lost, and the little eyes of the critters began to appear and there was snarling.." he chuckled brightly, ducking beneath the water once more and swimming over until he popped up near her and her rocks, admiring the misty spray.
"Really it was all very exciting at first, if a bit terrifying, until of course this horribly large furry creature appeared. Like the dogs only huge and sharp fanged, bright feral yellow eyes..It was quite angry with me I think for being where I was" he shrugged slightly "It was even more angry when I decided to paint all over it.." daskri added sheepishly "I mean I meant the creature no harm! But the way it was looking at me as if I were dinner, I did the first thing that came to mind..and hee hee well I turned its face pink, I thought it was a lovely shade, the creature didnt agree. It was blinded long enough though for me to start running again" he sighed relaxing a bit as he just let himself float there "Which led to you finding me where I was, I think I lost the creature somehow, or maybe it just got annoyed with me?"

Chuckling gently at the little one's rambling story, Zahara sat quietly on the large rock that split the veil of water as it poured over the cliff. The spray was on the cold-side, but the warmth of the sun kept it from being unpleasant.
Reacting in the appropriate places, Zahara idly hoped in the back of her mind that Daskri Mal had not irritated the cerberus pup she had rescued on one of her Earthen ventures. Apollyon was not friendly, exactly... though he generally was not UNfriendly... he simply preferred his space. As the little one had not mentioned his beast having three heads, oozing darkness, and glowing red eyes, she was not overly concerned...
"I probably frightened it away Daskri Mal," Zahara mused with laughter apparent in her voice. Realizing the smaller creature might find that statement patronizing, she back-tracked quickly; "Not to belittle your accomplishment in escaping in one piece! Pink paint indeed. It is simply that... well, even the larger forest creatures are... wary of the magics of a Constellation!"
Hoping to have averted any potential offense, Zahara changed the subject, "Are you near to finishing? I am chilled just sitting here in the mist; you must be freezing."
She frowned slightly, concerned that the twilif could take a chill.

Daskri chuckled, waving her statement off "Actually im sure you did, really I was surprised that the creature did not continue to follow me, pink paint is hardly a frightening color, embarrassing maybe but not enough to scare off a hungry furry beast" he sighed happily giving her a smile "Someday I hope to become a constellation, then I'll not have to worry about such things, no beast will dare look at me as a snack ever again!" daskri said triumphantly sinking into the pool a bit more, giving her a curious look when she mentioned the cold.
"Mmm, zahara my dear lady I do not feel, hee hee though I imagine if I were thrown in a lake of ice I would shiver..and if I were dipped in fire surely I would burn. Though I doubt I would feel such things as heat or cold." daskri shrugged slightly, shaking himself as he climbed out of the pool "Still! I can and have at times gotten sick, colds are terrible things did you know that? Icky side effects of sniffling and sneezing, coughing and feeling just yucky" he smirked as he climbed up onto the dry earth and began to wring his hair out, slowly re'braiding it. "Oh now lets show me this amazing canvas you promised, I must see it"

Seeing the twilif was ready to go, Zahara started to turn when she realized that her path up the waterfall might not be as accessible to the twilif as it had been for her.
"It is on the far side of the waterfall Daskri Mal... do you need any assistance ascending the cliff?"
Tilting her head curiously, Zahara waited to see how the little one might respond.

Daskri tilted his head slightly this way and that, eying zahara and then that which she was asking him to climb. "Well..mmn, hee hee no worrys~ Ascending is no problem for me, ah unless I fall but I'm sure I wont!" the little twilif nodded proudly quickly scrambling up to follow zahara. "That and I have to say it would be silly if I needed your assistance twice today."

With the twilif following, Zahara led him a ways upstream until they stood at the edge of a sheer cliff, probably close to three or four times her (admittedly diminutive) height. The top edge was lush with growth, but Zahara knew it tapered off soon past the top: leaving a clear, relatively flat rock face twenty or so paces across.
Looking back, she offered a hand to Daskri. "Come Daskri Mal, we must jump." Her eyes twinkled as she started, invisibly, drawing the ambient light in the air around them to cushion their descent.

Daskri scrambled up after her, following carefully as they moved straight up to the edge, the little green twilif daring to peek over before quietly pulling himself back. Gulping slightly as he looked at the distance of it.."Well well..certainly is green eh?" he chuckled almost nervously, blinking when zahara looked to him to ask a question.
"Jump?" the little twilif squirmed for a few moments, mentally running it through his head. "Ahh..jump..." he gave her a cautious look before reaching out to take her hand. " I just hope this, this 'jumping' does not end in us 'splatting' " the boy giggled shaking his head slightly while he took one more nervous look over the edge. Hopefully zahara could fly for them both, was that what she was planning?

Unable to resist laughing aloud, Zahara watched the twilif look over the edge again, swallow, and then shut his eyes. The moment Daskri shut his eyes, Zahara pulled them both over the edge, using the sunlight around the to thicken the air... a little below them. She enjoyed the free fall for a moment before thinking she probably should not jar the little one too badly. Once they hit her invisible barrier of light, their descent slowed until they were drifting lightly through the air and able to simply place their feet on the ground as though sliding off a chair. They landed facing away from the cliff and Zahara gently spun the twilif so that he could see what she had brought him to see.

Daskri couldnt help but cling slightly, squeezing zaharas hand as they suddenly stepped off the cliff, and just fell! He yelped surprisingly as abruptly they started to slow, gulping and peeking out of one eye, his little breathing quick and nervous as they descended. Daskri chided himself mentally for being fearful, heh for being worried! Just keeping his eyes closed until they were safely back on the land again..oh solid sweet tera firma!
Daskri opened his eyes wide as he was spun about, releasing his hold on zahara with a blush as he looked at the marvel before them. "It..its.." the twilif stammered for a moment as he got his bearings, tilting his head slightly to look over what was in front of him. "It's a canvas!" he cheered gleefully, pouncing on zahara with a hug "It's a giant rock canvas, haha! All that jumping was worth it huh! Even..even if utterly terrifying, hee hee I should learn to trust you eh?" he added playfully, knowing he shouldnt have had any reason to doubt her abilitys in the first place. She was after all a constelation.

Finding herself once again charmed by the twilif's enthusiasm, Zahara squeezed him back lightly and lay a hand on his head as he pulled away, eyes once again drawn by the rock face.
"I am going to go get something to eat Daskri Mal. You are safe here... a friend of mine keeps all the nasties away, and he will not bother you. So feel free to paint to your heart's content and I will be back shortly with a snack."
Waiting for the smaller creature to acknowledge, Zahara mentally went through the fruit trees in the area she called home to try and remember what was currently ready to be eaten. While she could travel fast enough to get to the town a bit outside of the forest... she would prefer to not go far until she had safely escorted the twilif to where he belonged. Not to mention, she felt like a terrible hostess leaving him in her domain; but she was not sure he would appreciate her hanging over his shoulder as he created... whatever he was going to create.
