Genesis ran through the forest where she felt most at home. Her senses where going wild with all of the little animals scurrying under the leaves. She wasn't paying attention and tripped on a root and rolled over to stop at a tree. Upside down a leaf landed on her face and she attempted to use her breath to blow it off.

Laughing as he ran, Caleb bounced and swerved more than neccessary. He was enjoying himself more than trying to catch the female. He didn't notice Genesis trip and yelped at the last second, leaping over her. He turned and ran up next to her. "You okay?" He asked, pawing at her leg. He couldn't help but giggle though at the leaf on her face.

Genesis tried to roll over but couldn't get enough momentum, trying again she managed to flip over and unto her stomach and giggled at the thought of how stupid she must have looked. "I'm fine" she said giggling.

Caleb smiled brightly at her. Looking down t his paw, he looked back at Genesis and yipped, bouncing backward. "You're it!" He giggled and spun around, shooting off through the brush.

"Meep" she shouted in surprise as she realized that they where still playing tag. "Not for long" she shouted darting after him pretending to be chasing a rabbit she pushed herself forward and leaped at him trying to go for a your it I quit end.

Caleb wasn't as agile as the female, but he was still faster. He ran in bursts, waiting for her to get close, then bursting head. Slowing again, then bursting ahead. But Genesis was a good hunter, and kept up better than Caleb thought she would. "Come on Gen! Get me!" He taunted.

Gen ran a different way then her friend Caleb, she knew they where getting close to the stream again and he had to turn or swim in the roughest part of the river. Cutting to the right she ran waiting for him to notice and going in for the final tag.

Caleb looked back, slowing a step. Where'd she go? He ran on, thinking she was trying to trick him. With all his turning back, he had started going to the right more and more. Suddenly, Genesis was right in front of him. His blue eyes widened in suprise and pleasure. "How'd you do that?"

"Magic" she said as her paws hit his shoulder "You're it I quit" she said with finality giggling at his shock. Going up to him she licked him on the cheek, she was embarrassed when she did so but it felt right. Stepping back she looked at hr paws "I am sorry" she murmured blushing.

Caleb looked from his shoulder back to Genesis. "Hey! What's that!?" He growled playfully, but the lick stopped him short. Her embarassment made a blush warm his face. "It's, uh, okay. No- no problem." His tail curled around himself. "We're... friends. Right? That's... allowed."

Genesis blushed deeper but it was barely visible with her dark coat. "Y-ya.. I guess so" she said shuffling her paws uncomfortably. It had felt right to do at the time but she was embarrassed now that it was done.

Caleb looked up at Genesis, then down at his own paws. Why was this so awkward?
Clearing his throat, he stood up, trying to cast off whatever was making this scene. "So, what shall we do now? I could teach you how to swim." He said with a wink, but even that small gesture still felt the after affects of the moment, and he laughed awkwardly.

"Umm probably not a very good Idea" she said managing a weak little awkward smile. Genesis couldn't stand the water even with Caleb. She saw the awkwardness on his face and kept her head down in shame of her actions.

Heart lightening, Caleb's tail swayed slowly as he chuckled. "That's my girl." He teased lightly, pawing at her shoulder.
Ugh! Still awkward! This had to stop!
In a desperate attempt, he shouted, "Heads up!!" and spun around, leaping into the river with an honest laugh, aiming to splash at Genesis.

"Eep" she managed to yell before being soaked to her skin with the splashed water. "Why did you do that" she yelled shaking her fur off from the intruding liquid. She crawled up farther up shore where water couldn't reached her and started washing herself.
