......... .................... ........................
!!!!!!!!!?!!!
Yeah, that got her to spit that paw out almost IMMEDIATELY once it clicked in her head, 'ptew'ing and wiping her leg across her mouth and tongue in an attempt to 'rid' it of the filth it might have been infected by due to the stupid redboy ('Quidel', peh) and his lack of watching where he walked.
Seriously, where the hell did he come from where lions stepped in each other's.... stuff.. and pissed in the water? SO UNCULTURED!! No way he was a part of her Firekin, that was for sure!
"That's DISGUSTING!! Don't you wash your paws or something?
Seriously!?"
Ha ha. Tactic working was a go!

Well, he hadn't stepped in anything THAT day, but he would play along.
"Well, if you remember when I was standing at the river and you came and got all 'rawr!', I just miiiiight have been washing my paws!" Not really but, he could play. Muahahaha. Squirm. Yes, squirm. "Now you'll probably catch some sort of paw foot and mouth desiese, and in the morning your parenst will find you on your back,.....DEAD! HAAA! HAHAHAHAAA!"
The devious grin on his face reached almost ear to ear. Truth was, this was perhaps the most fun he'd had in a while - Once again, probably because this wasn;t one of the many siblings which he was forced to live with.

... ..... "You mean just commander-mom will." Aodhan corrected with a sort of sullen look on her face. Certainly she wasn't suffering for the lack of another 'parent' in her life, but being reminded she only had mom and didn't even have a clue as to who the other 'parent' was... .... ....
Well, that didn't matter to her, really, as a new thought had just come up in it's place: "Wait, you were washing such a terrible thing into our water!?" she suddenly asked, her frown becoming more of the 'fierce' variety as though she now had to protect EVERYBODYYYY.
FROM THE HORRIBLE ICKY-NASTY GROSSBOY!
AND HIS GROSSNESS!!

Quidel just grinned more and took on a smug tone, "So long as you drink up stream, I think you'll be fine." .. "Not that it'll matter, cause you already had my 'groooooooss' paw in your mouth! HA!"
...
"So." He began after a pause. "Would it be cruel, after all that, to tell you that I didn't step in anything? Cause if so, Then I'm telling you now -- I didn't." Smug smug smuuuuuuug.

"Psssh, no more cruel than tossing a snake on me." Aodhan replied, sitting down and using a paw to brush her prickled fur down in an attempt to 'save face' after freaking out over a lot of nothing. HMMPH!
HMMMPPPPHHHH!!!
"And frankly the snake got the better end of what happened after that one." she added on thoughtfully. Sigh, that poor snake. She never even got to play with it! Which was actually very unfortunate from her point of view. It seemed like it would have been interesting.
But no. No playing with the snake for her.

At first, Quidel thought of the snake,...then how tiny its skull would be. Did snakes even have skulls? Of course they did! But daaaang! That would be small. And,...no fun at all. "Ah, I don't think it would have been that fun."
He went to go grab the larger bird skull he had left by the stream.
"This on the other hand, can be fun!"
Quidel stuck one of his digits in the large hole at the base of the skull, and held its jaw in place with another, then made the skull 'talk'. "CA-CAW!"

W-Woah! What was he-.. .. ...
DEMONSK-.. Oh, that was his paw. Well FORTUNATELY for Aodhan, she hadn't prickled too noticeably before she'd caught herself, frowning at the little display of puppeteering and actually settling down to watch with a sort of half-fascination.
"Now if you could make it do that without your paw in it, Baal would want to be your friend foreeevver. But then he'd be trying to raise his army of Scorpion-snake-lizards that just sort of... sit there.." she commented, still looking at Quidel with a sort of suspicion (was he going to throw that skull at her?), before continuing to babble on.
Just like a good female.
"My commander-mom wears a bigger skull than that one though. Right on her head, horns and everything.
It's beauuuutiful. I want one too eventually.".. .. "Where'd you find yours?"

Quidel listened with something akin to 'civility' before placing the skull back on the ground. "Yeah, I've seen some tho have all sorts of bones on them. Skulls are cool though. I suppose it would have to be a HUGE one to wear it on your head though." He then remembered his little daydream. "When I become a soldier, I'm gonna take the skulls of those I kill,..like a trophy! Maybe one of 'em will be bid enough to wear!"
As to the origens of the bird skull.... "I think it was left over from someone's lunch." He grimaced. He heard birds weren't the best of meals, and that the feathers get stuck in your teeth. Ugh, nasty!

Ooooh, that idea actually sounded wonderful to her! But she certainly couldn't take it now that it was HIS idea. That would have been giving the stupidfaced boy too much credit where he didn't deserve it!
Yes, in regard to how decorated of a warrior she was going to me! A skull like commander-mom's, warpainted in the blood of her enemies! Oooh, it would be most fantastic. She could see herself now! Pride of her commander-mom AND Auntie Lake! She'd be all smug and better than Baal too!
Oh yes.
"From someone's lunch? Well, only lion around here I know eats birds is Auntie Lake, but she eats 'em whole, so I don't think she would have left a skull behind.
Especially one that big. That seems bigger than what she'd try to eat, for sure."

"Huh.." He batted the skull around between his fore-paws, "Maybe it just fell down dead then."
That thought didn't seem to bother him in the least. In fact, he grinned.
"Could you imagine!? Dead birds raining down from the sky! A meal gift from the gods! A eward-" his tone took on a mock-proud one, as his body puffed up- "For a job well done."
Quidel liked to be told that he'd done a good job. He enjoyed praise. Criticism, though, spurred rather production hard-headedness. He'd still take the praise any day. Expecially that of his mother.

Uhh.. oh..kay.. this guy seemed far too pleased at just how freaking strange of a pheno...m....phe... HAPPENING it would be for dead animals to just start raining from the sky!
Especially if you were just trying to walk along and got conked in the head with a dead bird!
"That would be like a .. a... I'unno.. but Auntie Lake would loooooove that. She'd hoarde the birds in her den and walk around eating them and making sure every cub in the area heard how easily she crunched the skull open with her jaws." As if it was needed to illustrate, Aodhan actually did do a 'crunch crunch' motion with her jaws that would have also served as a decent impression of a pirahna.
"But I don't think everybody would like a reward of birds... .... ......
I'd prefer a reward of the gods striking down my stupidface of a brother."

Quidel lifted a brow at her crunching impression. "Niiiiiiice" not really. A waste of a good play toy, if you asked him.
At the thought of a sibling being struck down, Quidel actually noted that there wasn't a one of his siblings he would actually like to see die. "I could trade you one of my brothers. I've got like,..nine other siblings. No joke." Or heck, have a two for one deal.
Quidel sort of wondered how Aodhan would fair after a day with his sister, Serafina. Truelly crazy thing, that girl was! But, like with all his sibling, he loved her like the rest.
Play and conversation continued long into the day, untill Quidel was callled home at last, and each bid one another adieu,.
