Celyn eagerly took the bowl and began to snack on the dried cranberries with a large smile on his face. Carwyn couldn't help his chuckle at his son and ruffled the young boy's hair. That was one calm and contented. Now he just needed to hope that this woman could keep the other one just as calm and contented as the first was...
"If they were just like raisins," Phoenix pointed out, "they would be called raisins, not dried cranberries."
With a mouth full of dried cranberries, Celyn managed to mumble out, "Some people call them craisins." After he swallowed, he remarked, "That sounds really kinda close." After nodding to confirm that this was indeed the truth, the little boy resumed eating the dried cranberries, or craisins.
"That means they're imposter raisins." Phoenix decided, resuming with the fake rubbing of his chin. Could he really trust imposter raisins? Perhaps craisins had killed the other raisins, and that was why they were so red! The medicinal boy looked terrified before he remembered that raisin death wasn't possible. After all, they weren't even alive. "Do they taste as good as raisins, though, or are they like those rip off design bags girls buy?"

Orpheus had long abandoned the bowl of gummies taking the horrifying shape of a bear, and he was currently brushing the residue off his fingers upon the pocket of his pant's leg when he noticed other people approaching. A kid being towed by his mother. Orpheus couldn't help but to smirk at the sight - glad those days with Qadir were finally over. The boy gave a stiff nod to the woman, and another nod to the boy before his attention drifted lazily back to Ment.
It had been just about then that he was wondering where Kaoru was in the first place, when he registered Ment's outbreak. "Yes, I know Kaoru well. She is like my sister," Orpheus began, his dark eyes sweeping over the stuttering boy once more. He didn't exactly look fun, but he at least had the decency to dress like a human, unlike Ment, who was currently getting another up-and-down from the vampire. "Which reminds me. I don't recall you asking permission to date her formally." The teen's expression had turned gruff and slightly dark as his arms crossed over his chest, clearly awaiting the answer to such a devious offense by the other.

The white haired teen raised an eyebrow at Orpheus' statement almost perplexed by the proposition of dating Karou. Was he like one of those guys who took child brides? The last he saw of Karou shi was still a little....thing? Ment wouldn't date a child, or one of his closest and dearest friends to be exact. Granted it seemed everyone was one of Ment's closest friends.
"What?!" Ment yelled, looking at Orpheus strangly, "I'm not dating Karou! Karou's a kid for candycane's sake!"

"We aren't dating," replied an amused, musical voice from behind the teen, "and I've been as tall as you for some time now Ment. Maybe taller."
Kaoru rounded the unfamiliar teen - she couldn't pick up his scent, not with Ment there - and instead approached the eldest Scent, sun-kissed bare arms extending to her beloved friend. Her Goddess-like gown swept around her decidedly feminine form in the most flattering manner possible, her curled wine-stained chestnut hair held back from the delicate branches on her shoulders. "It's been a long time, Ment. Forgive me for not saying hello sooner, but I didn't wish to interrupt your time with your friend." She was referring to Polly, but she was unfamiliar with that Scent too, making her wonder just how many of them there were now.
Not wanting to be rude, she turned to greet the other teen...and stopped.
And stared. In a very un-womanly fashion.
The suit...
The hair...
The eyes...
"Oh, my...Orpheus?" she barely breathed the name, ruby eyes wide, a delicate hand curled against her chest where the bracelet charm rested in plain view of the vampire. The quick sweep of her appraising eyes told that she was impressed with his growth, and rather liked what she saw. The Lily Scent had grown admirably, and even she could only say so much.
"Wow."
For the first time in her existance, the pomegranate teen found herself utterly speechless.

Brows were lofted into red tipped bangs and the teen's gaze widened into a smug look that promised a nasty come back. "A kid? You mean to say, like a child?" Orpheus tilted his head to one side, poking a finger upon his lips as he mused over his words. "Kaoru will be most displeased to find out that her boyfriend, or anyone for that matter, views her as childish." Devious smirk that was hardly a smile graced the boy's lips - he was still unfamiliar with the idea of outright smiling, but perhaps he'd grow into that as he had into his new form.
Kaoru's presence as she attended her attentions to Ment first brought a bristle from Orpheus, and his lips turned down at the corners as he waited for the woman teen to notice him. At least her reaction had him giving her an amused grin. "Thank you Kaoru," he replied proudly, as if she'd just slathered words of praise upon him. Oh, Orpheus was sure mister Ment hadn't received such a delightful response to his teen growth.
"He has declared you to be childish," Orpheus suddenly said, pointing a finger in the most accusatory manner as he could manage, glowering at the boy who obsessed over eating bear shaped sugar. "Would it please you if I challenged him to a duel to restore your honor?"

Ment starred, almost gawking at the vision of beauty that was once his little friend Karou. He had not seen 'em...her? In the longest time and to see the dramatic change that overcame her was something almost mystical to him.
Though at that moment Karou was starring at Orpheus, Ment was clinging to Karou, "You grew, you grew!" Ment made sure to ignore Orpheus' comments about Karou being childish as well as being her boyfriend. She wasn't a child anymore, and he wasn't her boyfriend, and well honestly, that would be weird.
She smelled so wonderful and felt so wonderful and wait a minute...were those BOOBS?
Ment let out a small groan and sulked while clinging to his once little friend, "Everyone is becoming a lady but me."

The teenage girl - or what appeared to be so, anyway - blushed lightly at the words spoken by Orpheus. "A duel? Oh Orpheus," she laughed softly, feeling uncharacteristically shy around the vampire, "my honor is certainly not something you want to soil your hands over." Kaoru gave the pale-skinned male a sweet smile, bright eyes grateful for his offer. He'd always looked out for her, after they'd gotten over the obvious bump of their parent's affection. It was a great relief to know he'd still be there, for the time being.
All the while, her arms remained twined around Ment, fingers of one hand gently stroking his bi-colored hair as though in apology. "Not all is as it seems, Ment, but you'd know that best of all, I do believe." The Pomegranate teen gave the eldest Scent a kiss on his brow. "Perhaps your next growth will give you that which you desire." Kaoru was...simply herself, in all strange manner of things, and to be part of which Ment desired to be...was both a comfort and a deep confusion, to say the least.
To Orpheus, she explained softly, "I last saw Ment two Christmas' past. It was the last time I saw many of my friends, as shortly thereafter..." Branched shoulders delicately rose in a shrug, as the vampire knew well what had happened to her Guardian last year.

Orpheus gave a rather incredulous look at the conversation between the two of them. The boy who was clearly unhappy about his lot in live, and the girl going on about how things weren't what they seemed. Well, he wasn't going to dwell on it and he wasn't going to worry about it. Instead, the teen wrinkled his nose and crossed his arms across his chest with a grunt. Now he was being denied the ability to uphold Kaoru's honor. He'd had no clue she took so kindly to being referred to as childish...even if that wasn't - exactly what Ment had said.
"He eats bears for fun," Orpheus said in a sulky manner. Too much attention was being given to the boob craving boy, and that really wasn't his favorite part of the day.

Slender brows lifted high beneath her side-swept bangs, an amused smile curling her lips, glancing to the other teen she was embracing. Bears? "Orpheus," she purred softly, releasing Ment with a wink - she'd certainly be returning to her friend, once she smoothed her darling Lily's ego - extending her arms to the vampire, "come now, shall we celebrate your stunning good looks? There's yet a dance to be had in this dance festival."
Kaoru simply smiled at the sulking teen. She was not the least bit put off by his demeanor and was truly quite attuned to him after all this time; she couldn't help but tease him, just a little, like any girl should to any boy worth their attention. "I'm no longer taller than you, and if I remember correctly, our last dance became a group affair."

Ment let go of Karou and smiled, ladies secrets were afoot. He could tell easily from watching Olivia for so long. they'd get that little sparkle in their eyes and coyly go to stroke the male ego in order to satisfy the situation as a whole. It was a ladies perfect weapon and he wished he had it; however, every time he tried to use it men seemed kinda uneasy. He guessed he wasn't doing it right or something.

Moanna blinked at Phoenix for a moment before commenting, "Designer bags? I don't have designer bags, so I wouldn't know. But they tastes sweet and are chewy and are not messy at all."
Moanna had never before met someone who asked so many questions. Even her own mother did not ask that many questions, and the little woman was always full of them. Perhaps the child fed off of knowledge like a leech. Was that even possible?
"There's never an imposter," She commented absently mindedly a moment later, "They are what they are and have always been. Just like you are what you are and have always been."
Perhaps that answer would satisfy him more. It seemed like an appropriate answer to his oddly formed questions. Moanna smiled once more to Phoenix, Celyn and Carwyn.
"What brings you all out here tonight?"

Perhaps, in some way, Phoenix did feed off knowledge. The combination of xir intelligence and xir outgoing nature made xir ask too many questions at times and not know when to stop. Xe wanted to know everything about everyone and anything.
What did she mean there were never imposters? What about those radio shows that called people imposters? Then those wouldn't make any sense! And what about the concept of fake design bags? They were clearly imposters of real ones. Instead of speaking, the medicinal child just looked at the woman with a completely baffled look on xir face.
Carwyn was thankful for the break in Phoenix's incessant conversation. "The Rain Dances, naturally," spoke the jazz musician, grinning. For the moment, he seemed to be relaxed. "I've always loved things that involve rhythm, and certainly dancing for the rain is something like the sort." Music was his lifeblood.
Celyn looked up at Carwyn in-between snatching of dried cranberries. It seemed that the churro boy was going to end up eating it all himself. Carwyn stopped his hand before he could eat even more, and the little boy giggled in embarrassment. "Sorry! I really like good food. Dad says there's really good food here, so I'm really excited to get some good food."
"Bah." Phoenix stuck out xir tongue. "Sweet things aren't that tasty."
