Lunar nuzzled up against his mother as she nuzzled him and brushed him off. Once he finally managed to relax and stop crying, he fluttered over to Jaya and nuzzled her. "Thank you for helping me Jay Jay...I was real scared in there..."
Ayla smiled as the two young ones got back together. It was wonderful her son had found a friend. She had been worried others would shy away from him should they know he had two mothers. It was not that common and could be looked at as rather strange. "It's good to see Lunar find a friend. I was worried he might not." She looked to the other mother and smiled.

"I'd never leave you behind!" Jaya purred soothingly. She could tell he might've been shaken up a bit still, "I'll always be there for a friend," she nuzzled him back before nibbling playfully on one of his ears. Jaya smiled as she herself calmed down a bit.
Selene smiled at the two. So Jaya had finally managed to find and keep a friend for more than a few minutes. Usually her daughter's mouth ended anything up in disaster at the end with another lion. Plus Jaya was picky about who she liked to play with. Selene looked at the other lioness with a puzzled look. "Why wouldn't he. You both are very kind, and they get along well."

Lunar nuzzled back at Jaya, smiling happily as he relaxed. "Thanks JayJay! That means lots." He laughed as he felt her nibble on one of his ears, then playfully swatted her with his tail before running off. "Try and catch me!"
Ayla watched, smiling as the two younglings played. The question posed to her caught her a tad off guard. "Hmm? Well Lunar has no father. You see, my mate, Revolution, and I had finally fallen in love when somehow we had these two infants. Lunar finds it normal, but most others do not. He is picked on so much..." Her eyes teared up as she spoke. Having seen him so hurt in the past hurt her deeply as his mother.

She scrunched up her face, as his tail whacked at her. Jaya stuck her tongue out and ran after him, "I'll get you! You can get away!" she called after him giggling. She ducked under a log and jumped over branches, as she chased after him.
Serene nodded in understanding. She could see how it could make life hard for the cubs and the parents. Others poked fun when one had either two fathers or two mothers. "Here, we don't judge at all. Anyone is welcome to come and go as they please," Serene kindly said as she took a step closer to Ayla. "I can promise you as a friend, he won't be hurt by Jay."

Lunar heard her running after him. As he spotted a large hole in a tree, he jumped in and hid, trying to stiffle a laugh by covering his mouth with both of his paws.
Ayla nodded softly, wiping her eyes as the other lioness approached. "Thank you...that means a lot." She sat down and smiled, at Serene. "To be honest..." She moved closer to lower her voice so the young ones could not here. "...Lunar's other mother has...she might've left us and took his brother with her..."

Jay stopped as she sniffed the air. He has to be somewhere around here, but where? She walked around in circles, pouncing on bushes or going into hollowed out logs. Jay was about to give up and declare him the winner, when she thought she heard a laugh. Lowering herself to the ground, she stalked over to a hollow tree and jumped up inside of it. "Ah man," she said not finding him there. Little did she know he was only a couple of trees away.
Serene smiled, and laughed softly as she watched Jaya going around circles. Hearing what Ayla had said, she turned with a concerned look on her face. "Oh that's. . .I don't want to be judging, but that's horrible," her voice was lowered too, so the young ones couldn't overhear. "It must be hard not to see him. I'm sorry."
