'Is it?' Wisp asked, his head slightly to one side, ears wiggling in amusement.
'I think I might have liked a sister, then I'd have gotten a better understanding of mares. I'm sort of feeling my way through any conversations I have.' he smiled.
'Wow..I think my family is definately smaller than yours. I think my mother would like it otherwise though, I think she wants a daughter next time.'
Wisp's wings lazily fanned out and closed again, and he gave a small stretch on the spot. 'So no family from your branch?' he asked, curious as to what age it was that Soquili started to think of making their own families. He wasn't sure about being a father - it sounded nice in theory, but he didn't know if he was completely ready for that much responsiblity.

"Hehe. I grew up with one stallion but he's... really quiet. So he let me get away with things I should have..." Grinning again, Spook did end up taking care of Shade because he was really quiet... and needed taking care of. Though, that definitely made her a more motherly soquili.
"It would have been interesting growing up in an all mare family. They might have drove me crazy cause even now, sometimes my sister and I don't get along." Nodding, Spook was really interested in hearing about other people's family because she's a very family oriented soquili.
Tilting her head slightly at his question, Spook blushed and shook her head rapidly. "No. Haha. No. I want a family in the future... but not right now. I don't feel like I'm in the right place mentally or with the right stallion? I've never been for that.. fling kind of thing which seems so common around here..." Not that she frowned upon it but Spook just wants to find a very special someone before starting a family.

Wisp jumped on the spot, shrinking in size and taking to the wing as he'd done so. It wasn't that he was finding the conversation dull, it was just after a while of being on the ground he grew antsy to be flying again. He hovered close to her head, wings beating swiftly so that he would stay in one spot.
'We got away with a lot growing up, but that's because our mother, bless her, wasn't always as strict as she probably could have been.' he chuckled, dipping slightly.
He nodded at her words; 'I'm not sure where I am on that. I think belonging to one mare would suit me better, I'm not sure I could get a mare with foal and then walk away with about being involved with my children.' his forehead wrinkled, as he fell serious for the first time since they'd met. And then he smiled again.
'Well I am sure that when you're ready to let someone into your life in that way, you'll have no problem meeting the right one for you.'

Spook jumped slightly when he jumped up and then started giggling. She was caught offguard but good thing she wasn't a really jumpy soquili though. Now she was even shorter than him and Spook looked up at him with a smile.
"Aw. My mother was the same. She was so kind and compassionate she couldn't bear to reprimand us or anything when we were bad kids. My siblings and I got into a lot of trouble when we were younger because my sister and I always dragged my brother along even if he didn't want to. And then my sister and I would raise hell somewhere and my father would have to come drag us back home."
Nodding, Spook listened to him speak. "I totally understand. I would get much too attached to my foals to let any of them grow up with the stallion. I think I get a little too protective..." She smiled at him happily wondering why he seemed so nice...

Wisp made a little loop in the air before steadying himself again to reply to Spook.
'It wasn't that she is too kind..which she is,' he added with a chuckle. 'It's more that she'd rather be out flying or playing amongst the flowers than do anything like reprimand us kids.'
Wisp dipped down, skimming above the bobbing heads of the flowers and tugged one, breaking the stem. He gained enough height to present her with the sky blue bloom.
'I always think that having a stable family unit is better anyway.' he commented as he gave her the flower, his wings whirring swiftly. 'Despite my mother being flighty, I know she and my father care for each other, and will always be around.'

Watching him curiously, Spook wondered what it felt like to do a loop in the air. Watching him just made her want to take flight even more. Smiling at him, Spook attempted to picture what his mother could be like. She sounded so... adorable. "That does sound more fun then punishing your kids."
"It definitely is. I don't know where I would be without my family." Spook really was close to her family and it seemed like he was close to his too. She watched him pull the flower up. Blushing vividly, she took the flower in her mouth. "Why thank you kind sir." She leaned her head forward so that he could tuck it behind her ear. Spook had a soft spot for flowers. Maybe it was just a flutter thing. She just couldn't help herself. It was so pretty.
"That's good. It's always good to know that your parents will always be there for you. I'm pretty sure my parents will always be there for me and same with the rest of my rather large family."

Wisp took to the flower back, whirring up to her head and with precise flaps of his wings manuvered the flower behind her ear, pushing the stem between the strands of her mane. He flew back in front of her and nodded;
'Well I suppose, but I think kids are meant to have boundaries as well? I don't think we turned out all bad though.' and he grinned, giving her cheeky wink.
'You're welcome, though it's not half as pretty as the one wearing it.' Laying it on too thick? He didn't think so, and what harm was there in making a pretty mare feel good about herself?
'Of course sometimes it means that they also want to know all your ins and outs, and there isn't much privacy but I'm sure the noseyness is from affection.' Wisp chuckled, drifting on the wing.

Smiling, Spook wondered why he was being so nice. She had never been treated so kindly before and she really liked the attention. Though, she knew that all stallions were nothing like this because she's dealt with a few.... and they weren't so nice.
She nodded in agreement to his question, "Yeah. Seems like we turned out alright even though we both seemed rather mischievous when we were younger." Grinning sheepishly, Spook
"This is true. And family may get pretty hectic but they really try." Pausing, Spook couldn't help but steal another look at Wisp. She hadn't been in the company of another stallion in awhile and that just made her think about him. She hadn't thought about him in awhile but Wisp kind of reminded her of him.
"So, have you done much exploring?"

Wisp nodded, pretending to look all serious; 'Now I'm all grown up..' he grinned, and then performed a loop in the air, turning up, spinning his body around at the crest of the loop, hair and mane flaring out as he did so. He turned for the arc down and hovered before the mare once more.
'I'm still mischevious!' he laughed, bobbing before her. 'I bet you are too.' he added with a wink.
'Exploring? In so much as you can do whilst flower diving I guess I have? I tend to follow the butterflies, see where they fly to, what new fields of beauty they've found.' he looked at Spook.
'And you, have you seen much of this big world?'

She watched him in awe. She knew many winged soquili in her family but for some reason a lot of them didn't fly the way he did. She actually knew two of her family friends didn't fly at all... That was weird... Wisp made it seem so easy.
Giggling, Spook couldn't help but nod. "I get into my fair share of trouble. Nothing too serious but I have quite a few pranks up my sleeve." She thought about her siblings and her when they were younger. All day, they would find ways to amuse themselves by playing tricks on each other. The more tricks you could successfully accomplish, the higher your score. And by the end of the week, the highest score was the winner. And the winning prizes varied depending on whatever they could find.
"Ooh. I've done that before. Butterflies are so.. intuitive. They seem to know a lot about the earth and I've learned about many types of flowers because of them." Shaking her head, Spook continued, "No I haven't. I really don't know what's wrong with me but I just can't seem to go very far away from my teepee. Like, I can travel but somehow, I make sure I come home by the end of the day..."

Pranks eh? He grinned at the mare, he thought she probably had a streak of mischief in her still. Who wanted to grow up to become all stuffy anyways? Life was for enjoying.
'Oh, tell, tell,' he bobbed closer, as though they were two conspirators whispering secrets to one another.
'Well, they always know where to find the best flowers.' he nodded.
'I don't see what's wrong with that, I mean, I've not travelled so far myself, and who am I to judge your life? You're out now, and you're socialising so that's what matters. If you like who you are..well that's what counts.'

Grinning, Spook loved sharing her adventures with other soquili because her pranks made her proud. "One time, the two-legger that shares the teepee with my family brought home a small rabbit. It was for her dinner I think, two-leggers have to eat too. Well, she put it down on a stump and she turned away to do something. I grabbed the rabbit and hid it behind the teepee. She turned around and was looking all over for it thinking that it had gotten up and run away." These were small pranks; she had done bigger ones before but she needed to see what he thought of her other pranks. Sometimes soquili disapproved of the pranks that she did and they said that she only caused more problems. Spook didn't really care but she didn't want Wisp to judge her.
"I've done other things too, I guess. But I know I was definitely a handful when I was younger. Definitely put my parents to the test, trying to keep up with me." Smiling widely, Spook observed Wisp carefully wondering what he would think about her rambunctious nature.
Nodding in agreement with his last statements, Spook was rather impressed by him. "This... is true. Thanks... for not judging me."

Wisp laughed along as she told of the prank, but wasn't too sure he would get on with two-leggers and their meat eating ways. He politely refrained from saying so as it seemed that Spook had a close relationship with them.
'Yes, you sounded a hoof ful for your parents, but isn't that expected? Growing up is when we test our boundaries, and learn from our mistakes. I always thought that was the idea of being a foal at any rate.' he smiled.
'I never would, it would take a great deal for me to cast aspersions on anyone. To judge without knowing every fact would be wrong. You have your own reasons for how you live, same as each of us.'
Wisp drifted to the ground, growing again. 'Would you like to take a walk?' he asked, hoping she would say yes. He was much taken with the mare, and at least hoped to call her friend by the end of their time together.
