The old man looked a little confused,
"My dear... I was referring to you." He tried to explain. Maybe he didn't understand the way he'd said it.
"Pardon me... I meant to say that you have done well to have stayed alive so far."

The old man put one hand on his wind-worn chin,
"I'm afraid so... I saw a small settlement a few days back. They didn't seem like ninja to be honest- citizens maybe. Wasn't a happy sight, that's a fact." The elder said. "It'd be best if you stayed here... that way we could avoid the Tengu presence if that's in fact possible."

Once the girl had passed on well beyond his vision, the fragile form placed his hand slowly into a seal for a moment. A sneeze rocked his body and his released the seal to rub his nose before resuming it.
His legs elegantly blended together and seemed to twist around one another slowly and naturally. Forming the stalk of a large flower his entire body morphed into an elegantly curved sunflower. Slowly it shrunk, morphing into a dandelion before it bloomed, accelerating the lifetime of the plant until it burst into a thousand tiny seeds- carried elegantly away by the wind.
