The chirp surprised Xenia so much that she yipped and almost fell over backward. She giggled musically, the laugh of a happy cub. “That’s funny!”
She tried to make a sound like Bhek. What came out was the meow of a cub. She tried again and made the same sound, a little softer this time, so that she believed she had made the same sound as Bhek but had only mewed. She mewed again, giggling to herself and grinning at Bhek. She stood and started to jog around him. “I can run pretty fast, too. How fast can you run?”

This was why he loved being in a pride. He got to meet so many different creatures, inculding cute little cubs like Xexe. "You're pretty darn close. You'd fool me into thinking you were a cheetah." Bhek stated lightly with a wide grin before putting on an amazed look as the young cub began to jog around him. "Wow! You are pretty fast for a cub! I bet when you get really big, you'll be even faster!" He complimented before chuckling. "How fast can I run? Hmm..." His eyes lit up with an idea an he very gently picked the cub up by the scruff of her neck and set her atop the boulder he'd been lying on earlier. "Now you sit up there, and I'll show you. Okay?" With that, he took off, sprinting as hard as he could toward the edge of the trees. When he reached them, he make a speedy uturn and raced back to leap onto the boulder, sitting down next to Xenia. "How was that?"

Xenia stood up tall on all fours and stretched her neck up to see far into the distance. She stretched up even higher as Bhek raced to the edge of the trees and curved back toward the boulder. When he leapt she let out a squeak and hopped to the other side of the boulder. She turned around, panting from excitement. “You scared me when you did that,” she accused, smiling. “You really are fast! You ran like a… like bird in the air! I don’t think I could run like that. My legs are all stubby.
"But I am a good climber. Watch!” She hopped up and clambered onto Bhek’s back, settling between his shoulder blades. His body felt lean and sturdy and Xenia felt secure there.
“I can climb trees, too. Can you climb trees?”

Bhekizitha grinned and nudged Xenia, "Like a bird huh? Well thank you, Xexe." He laughed as he was climbed on, and turned his head slightly to watch her. "You are a good climber! Much better than me. I can't climb at all." He nudged her gently, throughly enjoying the time he was spending with this youngster. "See, you're a great climber and I'm a great runner, but we're both special. Cool huh?"
(I keep finding myself thinking, 'Heaven forbid someone pick on Xenia in the future. Bhek will beat 'em up' xD )

“Uh-huh! Everybody is special in someway.” She pawed at Bhek’s ear and giggled. “I like you. You’re fun and you’re nice and definitely not scary.”

Bhekizitha smiled and nuzzled her gently. "You're fun, nice, and not scary either." He teased lightly before he carefully lifted her by the scruff of her next and leapt to the ground before setting her down again. "Alright Xexe, you should probably head back to the nannies now. You wouldn't want them to worry, right?" The cheetah smiled warmly. "I'll see you soon, squirt."

Xenia nodded. She knew her way back and she was eager to tell her brothers and sisters about the nice cheetah she’d met. They probably wouldn’t believe her when she told them how fast he ran! “Alright! I want to see you again, too.” She nuzzled his leg. With one last smile she bounded off, calling over her shoulder, “Goodbye for now! It was nice meeting you!”
