Relief flooded his face as he sighed, knit brows relaxing and relieving the stress that had kept his body tensed up. Stroking her head gently with his fingertips, he tried to soothe his friend further out of her terrified state. Her hot tears landed on his shirt and mingled with the pooling blood, making it more of a mess. Not like it mattered though.

The terrified state Bones’ body had been in was now gone, and the real pain was setting in rather sharply. His heartbeat was slowing from weariness, and his eyelids were getting heavy…but that didn’t matter it was too hard to see straight anyways. Letting his head flop back against the grass it jarred his vision once more before he gathered enough to speak once more. That branch really had to be leaving a lot of splinters he thought randomly.

“I don’t blame you for anything Rin. You’re safe now and that’s what matters.” His eyes were almost completely without color, the unmatched pupils were hard to watch. Her almost non-existent weight was now seemingly crushing what was left of his chest. Bones eyes slipped shut as he shifted into a state of unawareness.

Cooper was highly distressed at this, whimpering a high urgent tone. Leaning down he licked at his pet human’s cheek and got no response. Ears dropping on horror, he proceeded to bark at him, hoping for him to wake. The last thing to happen was his hand slipped off her head and lay limp in the grass beside him.

Catherine's mind paced as she saw Bones' limp hand strayed towards the grass. "Grumpy-kun?" she questioned, her eyes opening profusely. "Grumpy-kun!" Catherine screamed his name, out of panic and in hopes that he would open his eyes. Catherine pressed her ear against his chest. Her worst fears had reached, his heart was slowing. She knew precisely that when her prey's heart begins to slow, it was time to issue the disemboweling. However, Catherine also learned something else. She learned that when the heart slows...she was in definite trouble. Taking her scarred hand, she lightly placed it against Bones' chest. She knew this was going to hurt, but it was the only thing she could have done to have him stay somewhat conscious a little more until she can truly help. Using Recover, the pulse ran down her left arm and out towards Bones' chest. The pulse had unfortunately opened her wound again, causing blood to leak from her gash. Even though it pained, she had to do it. She was not going to let her friend die. She wasn't going to take another life.

Something burned hot against his chest and this caused his eyes to flicker a bit. Bones’ chest seemed to get tight for some reason, but he couldn’t tell what was causing it. Glancing up he spied the mewtwo perched there. Brows knit in pain, he watched her struggling with something. Was she trying to save him? However there was not enough energy left in him to do much more then let this thought pass. His side burned so much from the stick in there, and by the angle it would take some rib breaking to remove. More blood burbled up in his throat and he coughed on it, a stream slipping out past his lips.

Cooper barks again in real distress, shifting back and forth anxiously. Then watching Catherine he almost thought she was hurting him more. Watching closely before acting too rash and possibly hurting Bones, he saw that Rin was hurting herself to try to save him. She was too hysterical to do so he noticed. Cheering her on he licked at her face, and used the move ‘Helping Hand’ to assist her healing powers. Tail wagging encouragingly, he knew she could do it.

Catherine did not falter as she received the lick from Cooper. However, the light wetness of the canine Pokemon's tongue lifted her spirits. She could do this, she knew she could! Still concentrating upon the middle of his chest, Catherine would hesitate to listen to his heartbeat than begin again. It was hard for the Mewtwo to truly make sure she was doing a good job. The sight of Bones' blood smeared across her hands made her smile lightly. Shaking her head, Catherine closed her eyes. Concentrate Catherine! the female Mewtwo thought as she squinted her eyes shut. Don't let it get to you. Concentrate, concentrate!

More blood gushed from her hand as several pulses worked their way down. Catherine was beginning to pant now. She had used up a lot of energy and the amount of blood she had lost was a large quantity. Eventually, she would pass out soon. But that time was drawing very near and it worried her much.

Cooper was watching intently at all the hard work that Catharine was putting into saving his master, but for some reason that was beyond her it seemed to not be working. The human’s eyes flickered a bit, but each rush of power only seemed to prolong what was going to happen at this rate. The legendary pokemon was miserable, and needed help. Amber eyes tracing the pulses of energy forced from her paws, Cooper watched as they danced along Bones’ wounds and seemingly knit the scrapes and such up nicely. But he was still gasping for air.

Little thoughts sunk into his mind of when he sat on his pet human’s lap at home. Something that seemingly displeased his master, the arcanine thought of one particular event in which Bones’ face turned odd shades of blue. Yelling something about weight on his chest, perhaps it was the same. Looking at the mewtwo, she was obviously hovering up a bit so as not to injure him further. The weight, where was it? Spotting the branch stuck in his chest, you could almost see the light bulb go on inside Cooper’s brain.

Leaning over, he curled his teeth around the piece of wood carefully, trying to ignore the urge to run with it. Eyeing the rockets chest, he placed a rather large paw on it to steady him. Just like yanking roots from the garden. Tearing his head up and back, the powerful jaws he’d been blessed with broke the branch free from obstructing further healing. Almost as he’d done it, blood rushed out from its prison in his lungs.

Coughing hard, his chest rose and fell with a wheezing sound as the waves of healing energy worked to seal up the wound. Eyes flickering open, his brow furrowed in pain again as Bones groaned. Was waking up always like this. Taking a few weak and testy breaths, by no means was he at 100%...but he certainly wasn’t dying. Looking up he spotted Cooper holding a bloody tree branch, and a concerned mewtwo staring him in the face. Twisting his lips into a smile, he blinked at her. “Rin?”

With pink eyes sullen and swelled with tears, Catherine smothered herself on Bones and sobbed continuously. Her crying echoed amongst the now returning placid atmosphere of the forest. Out of pain, frustration, anger, and disappointment, Catherine cried. Apologies repeated over and over as her three-fingered paws clenched onto his shirt. "I'm sorry Bones. I'm sorry! I am so sorry! Please! Please! I'm sorry! Please be okay! Please, please! I don't want to lose you!" Even if the smile upon him reassured her, she still cried. She didn't want to look at him. If she did, she would open her eyes to the amount of damage she caused him. It was all her fault and she couldn't deny it.

Catherine was in hysterics, and an expression of concern slipped across Bones’ face as his eyes slowly began to regain their crystal like hues. Blinking at her, he pulled up his weary arms to circle her violently shaking form and hold her against him as tightly as he could manage. Her tears were weighed with emotions that he might not even begin to understand. Taking this into account he lightly gave her head a kiss as just patted her back a bit. “It’s okay Rin. I’m not going to die.” Worried for the mewtwo as well, Cooper nudged her cheek with his nose and gave a melodic whimper.

Catherine soon calmed down and breathed a weary sigh as she tightened her grip around Bones. Trembling still, Catherine eyes fluttered as she felt the feeling of tiredness come upon her. "Tired.." she whispered under her lips, her eyes shuttering about. Clinging tighter to Bones, Catherine snuggled her chin into his shoulder. "Tired..." she chirped again, all anger, sadness, despair, and panic slipping from her voice.

Bones couldn’t move under her weight, so he just kept petting her in a calming manner. Her muscles were so tense and pent up with the damage her emotional breakdown had done. Cooper nudged at the rocket’s cheek and whimpered at him. Blinking at the mewtwo, he looked up at the arcanine and shrugged a bit, at least what could have passed for a shrug. “You tell me how we’re getting home, because I sure can’t think of one.” He referred to the still somewhat slight concussion he head obtained not to long ago.

Catherine blinked as she stared from Cooper to Bones. Flicking her tail, the female Mewtwo tilted her head in thought. "If you show me where, I can take you to your 'home'." That was the first time Catherine had used the word, so the sound of it sounded slurred compared to the rest of her speech. The Mewtwo had never heard of the word "home". She had heard of the word house several times from Medley. The two words sounded vaguely familiar, but the Mewtwo did not dot that completely on the spot.

Bones wasn't sure on directions himself at the moment, so he thought to vividly of his apartment. From the red futon that was a little lumpy, to the ugly carpet in the hall. The windowsill that let it too much light, and the TV that never seemed to get a signal. Where was all this.

Pictureing it in his mind, he leaned his forhead against hers with a dull 'thump'. "Read my mind okay...I'm kinda fading fast myself." He snuggled against her once more to reasssure her, knowing this would be a big help to the trio. Forcing Cooper back into his pokeball, hopefully that would make it easier on the injured mewtwo.

Catherine bit her bottom lip as she focused her mind on Bones'. The image of a a shabby looking apartment with a messy interior entered Catherine's and she blinked. She wanted to ask where this area could be, but didn't want to make the injured Rocket waste more energy. "Rest now..." she said as she lightly patted Bones' head. She snuggled him one last time before lightly lifting off into the air. "I'll find your home, just give me some time."

Bones eyelids started to obey, half shut before he knew it. Jerking his head back up it bobbed for a moment in pain before he was able to focus on the mewtwo's face. "Just get us there. I'll take care of you." He patted her back lightly, his chest rising and falling with a bit of effort because of her weight on him. If she could do this, he needed her to rest afterwords. Tightening the muscles in his neck, he watched her....waiting on her. Almost to the point of praying she could do this.

Drifting about the air, Catherine kicked off and maneuvered through the treetops. The weight of Bones pressed against her and made it hard for her to breathe. However, she knew she could make it to the area Bones had showed her if she paced herself. Eventually, Catherine became greeted with the sight of a building. She wasn't sure if it was truly the one since all man made structures the Mewtwo had seen always seemed the same to her.

It was rather odd to be flying, but his mind was so messed up that it didn't matter anymore. Blinking hazily as they landed at the foot of his building, he leaned against the door and grunted. Why did he have to be on the top floor? Fumbling for his key, he knew a few passerby's would be scarred for life at the sight of them standing in the doorway. There had to be an easier way of getting up there, because the moment he moved from the door he knew his leg would give out. The kneecap might have been broken. Looking to the mewtwo, almost regretfully asking her help he pointed to the top of the building. "Can you get us up there...somehow?" He was panting a bit now, but he knew that Rin was no better.
