Risktaker laughed, lifting a paw and nudging the little pup with playful encouragement.
"Don't worry too much about it, little guy," he nodded, "life is a bit harder to figure out, and asking questions is good but you've really got to trust your instincts and take whatever situations your personal now sends your way. It's nice to have a plan for the future, but nothing is clear cut and you can't predict how you'll change. So don't worry too much, and don't forget to have fun while you're working on being the best you can be."
He smiled, a warm paternal glint in his eyes. He shook his head.
"I've always been good at it, and I've always loved doing it. Those were the two reasons I needed to justify taking it on as a my job here. It wasn't much of a decision, really. I just knew. It doesn't work that way for everyone, sometimes you've just got to experience things and see if they're what you want."

Strongear smiled he appreciated the older dog spending time to make him feel better about his future. His children were lucky to have such a caring father, Strongear didn't have a father at all. He shook his head slightly he didn't like feeling pity for himself.
Strongear sensed he had been bogging down Risk with all these life's hard questions, and he felt kinda bad for it. Strongear got down into a pounce position, he barked a laugh before jumping up at risk and back down. He hoped Risk was playful this was all Strongear could think to do to lessen the strain of the conversation they had been having. He rushed up to Risk's feet quickly tapped them and backed up to his original position all along laughing.

Risktaker laughed and swatted at the pup playfully, getting into his own crouched position just in case he needed to do some more bouncing. He lifted his foot after the pup attacked it, shaking it and laughing, wagging his tail.
"Alright you, I think it's time I took you back to your family."
He grinned, making this a game. He pounced on the pup and caught him after a little while, picking him up by the scruff on the back of his neck. He knew which den was Strongear's, having made special note of the families with pups. He carried him triumphantly, as if Strongear himself was Risk's trophy for winning the game. Soon enough he deposited the pup near his den.
"You be good to your mother and don't worry too hard about your future. I think you already know what you're going to do. You just need to focus on being the best dog you can be. Alright? I'll be seeing you around, little guy." He nodded, beginning to walk off.

Strongear laughed the whole way to his den, he liked Risk a lot, he thought it was a fun game, and he knew that Risk was just playing with him.
As Risk deposited by his den, Strongear giggled a goodbye and watched Risk disappear back into the midst of the pack. He was happy that he had spent time with Risk, he was definitely feeling better about this whole future thing.
