Hadaya wasn't quite sure what he was feeling, and he didn't know how to respond to it. His head told him to just stay still until it all passed, but his instincts told him to be more open, to just move how she moved, and respond to whatever she initiated. For once he didn't let his mind talk him out of taking a risk, and he purred back at her softly.
"I know a den near here that there's no one in. I stayed there last night, because... uh... I don't really like... sleeping outside when it's dark," he coughed, trying to imagine a good reason for it that wasn't 'because I'm a bit of a wuss'. Nothing came to mind, so he didn't bother trying to justify it.
"I'll show you... if that's what you want?" He was still a little slow on the uptake, but he was pressed by the feeling that this was something he wanted, though he couldn't fathom what it was. He liked her company, and he didn't want to leave it yet. If she wanted to go some place private, he would take her there, just so he could be with her longer. She was the source of many new, confusing, scary, exhilarating and strange emotions, and he just had to see what they were all culminating to.
He tilted his head, nudging her with his nose as he indicated which way to go, moving off with his tail swinging behind him. He looked back over his shoulders, tilting his head and offering her a sweet, warm smile before following his own scent back to the den.

"Really? Well aren't you a shining star, Kitten?" She purred. "Lead the way then, certainly. It'll make things easier and quicker." She moved swiftly, purring warmly as he nudged her with his nose. Then she made after him; head, ears and tail held high.
He was such a sweetie. Like a cub, really. An overgrown cub who needed to be shown the way of an adult. It was odd to think of that, really. She'd been in such a hurry to grow up that she'd not really had time to be a proper child.
But she found him endearing, so endearing she could not give up the idea of spending a night with him. She wasn't sure how far his experience went, wasn't sure if he understood totally what she was speaking about, but he seemed eager, so maybe he was more aware than he was leading her to believe.
"Don't worry, I'll keep following." She called, moving quicker in an attempt to keep up.

The den was small and out of the way, but not so small that two lions couldn't shelter in it comfortably. Hadaya looked back at her, glad to see she was still right beside him. He blinked, swallowing hard, and looked at the den as if he suddenly realized just what he was doing here.
In truth, he had a very limited perception of what two lions together meant. He had seen Thili and Sen raising their cubs together, being in love and spending their days together. He had seen other lions, through his time wandering the rogue land, in what appeared to be relationships of far less substantial stuff. He just imagined that some chose to stay together, and others didn't.
Why did everything have to be complicated, anyway? So long as everyone was happy.
He blinked, wondering what the next step was. He found himself understanding what was happening here, without ever having experienced it, and he decided to take a few steps into the den, brushing his shoulder against her as he detoured his path to curl around her before he went into the den.

She saw the den and felt her pace and heart quicken. What luck! She'd not expected this at all. Yet, out of nothing had come a cute guy and now a comfortable, private den in which to spend some time with him in.
Perfect.
He brushed past her suddenly, sending a tingle through her being. So he did know, after all! She purred, deeply, and blinking her vibrant green eyes, slipped into the den after him.
