She watched him attack the strawberries, aware that a two-legger would probably scold her for this mess later, but she enjoyed seeing him happy. "I have family too, real soquili family I mean... not a big one, but a brother and sister and a mom and a dad." Her gaze veered off into the distance. "I haven't seen them in a long time, not since I was sent here to be with the old one." She snuffled a bit, her eyes watering slightly, obviously upset. She paced back and forth then pulled her head out of the teepee, not feeling very hungry anymore.

He continued to eat the last of what was in the basket. But being intune with his sences he noticed something quite strange about the way Mali was acting. So he stopped left what he was doing and trotted out behind her, only to notice that she looked as if she'd been crying. So with a gental nuzzle he walked up beside her and rubbed the side of her neck with the tip of his burt nose.
"Well why don't we find them? Though if your human needs a Soquili to be with...I can stand in for you while your away." He again nuzzled at her tenderly. Alls he wanted was for her to be happy and he'd do anything within his power to do that. "I'll take the wrap for the all the food as well. I mean your not the one with berries and applesauce all over you anyways." He lightly chuckled at his joke. He'd have to take another bath later for sure.

Mali looked at him, a tear running down her muzzle. "You'd do that?" She whispered, she stepped closer to him then hid her nose in his mane. "Don't worry about the food." She licked a bit of applesauce off him. "Could you help me find them?" She turned to look back towards her teepee. "I can't leave her though... Theres a two-legger meeting she goes to with the other old ones, she wont need me then but we'll only have a few days." She sighed, not sure what to do.

"Oh course I would." A warm smile washed over her in contentment. Maybe soom of his good mood would rub off on her- it looked like she needed it and badly. He then paused and looked at her. "Well two days dosn't give us much time I suppose- but I've pulled off some miracles."
"And-" He added onto his words in mid-thought.
"And if we don't find them in two days I'll keep looking for you so you can watch over your two-legger. Heck I might even have run into them already. I've been traveling quite alot that is." He blinked his eyes a few times figuring he was yet again rambling about random thoughts that poped into his head.
"So you ready for an adventure?" He asked with a sparkle in his eye.

"You're so nice to me Avery. Thank you." She licked tenderly at his muzzle. "I've never been on an adventure before..." She still looked a little apprehensive as she paced infront of him.
"I... I'd go anywhere with you though and with you're help I know we can find them." She nibbled on a strand of his curly hair. "An adventure sounds like fun."

"I've been on lots of them." He nosed at her side. "Though I've always been alone-" He paused and sighed then looked her in the eyes. "But thats all going to change because I have you now- well that is...if you want me." A small bit of jam dribbled out of his mouth and dripped on the ground infront of the two. Quickly he seamed to slurp the rest of it from around the mouth and gave an almost whistle-like 'I didn't do it'. A sheepish look plastered over his maw. "Er...." He seamed to say trying to put a hoof over the strawberries on the ground.
"So you ready for that adventure?" He smiled this time refering to himself.
