"Sorry!" Sienna half squeaked and half wailed. The poor Mew! 'No!' She coached herself again, 'This is a battle! You're a gym assistant now! Be strong!'
Meanwhile, Frey was at dodging lightning again. The bird pokemon fell forward the the air again, just barley dodging the bolt as it singed the tips of the feathers on his back.
"...Keep going and use Thief!"
Frey kept his flight pattern and readied his talons for his attack.

"Thunderbolt!" Renekai called. She hoped that Faye could pull through!
Faye twitched his tail and sent yet another beam at the bird. He was getting tired, and he hurt all over...

"Dodge and use Thief!" Sienna was shifting into full-on battle mode. Cute Mews could be dealt with later.
Frey quickly sped at Faye once more. As repetitive as this was, it was getting the job done. The pidgeotto reached towards the Mew with his talons, aiming to strike and swipe at him.

Renekai could see no way around it. "Ancient Power!" she called.
Faye sniffed and allowed one big tear to roll down his cheek. Then he made a barrier of rocks around himself, making his defense go up.

Sienna decided they should do the same. "Mirror Move!"
The pidgeotto mirrored the Mew and called upon the same Ancient power. But instead of raising his defense, Frey raised his attack.

Faye balled up his little paws and excreted the electricity. It was intensified by the field as it was sent flying on its way to Frey.

The pidgotto was hit once more with the lighting, burnt feather sizzled and popped off his body and journeyed towards the floor.
"Keep it up with Ominous Wind!" Sienna encouraged Frey.
The pidgeotto summoned a foreboding wind. The purple haze surrounded him as he raised his defense level

Frey obliged and stirred more waves of the ghostly purple wind, this time aimed to do damage to Faye.

"Thunderbolt! Hang in there, Faye!" Renekai felt like she was tearing her heart in half, forcing the cute mew to fight so much.
Faye blinked blearily into the wind and fired the electrical attack. He felt his limbs going numb. His eyelids were too heavy to keep open...

Frey was zapped once more with a bolt of lighting from the Mew. It was his turn to start getting tired. He fought it off to the best of his ability and waited silently for his trainer's orders.
"Ominous Wind!" Sienna commanded. She silently offered words of encouragement 'Hang in there Frey, almost there...'
The pidgeotto summoned another purple wave of wind. He aimed as carefully as he could and beat his heavy wings until he finally released the ghostly wind at the Mew. It sailed eerily through the air, spreading over the field in more of a wider range than at a fast speed.

"Baton Pass!" Renekai commanded, lifting up Faye's pokeball.
Faye gratefully allowed himself to be sucked up into the pokeball, avoiding the attack.
Renekai lifted up the other pokeball. "Go, Anima! Take up the slack."
Anima hopped into the wind and was battered slightly. She shook it off with a silly grin. Game time again?

"Mirror Move!" Sienna commanded. There was no way Frey could take on Anima in his nearly defeated state. Ram would have to do it. Like Renekai, Sienna held up Frey's pokeball.
Frey obeyed and was slightly relieved to be inside the saftey of the camouflage-colored device. He was in no shape to fight a pokemon full of energy.
She tossed forth Ram's pokeball next. "Your turn, Ram!"
The Rampardos appeared on the electrical field in a flash of red. He announced his presence with a sudden cry of "DOS!" not yet acknowledging the electricity cackling around his feet.

"Aqua Tail!" Renekai commanded, pointing at the large dinosaur pokemon.
Anima darted forward, her tail glowing blue. She swung herself around and the blue separated from her tail, making a mini tidal wave. Electricity hungrily sparked as the water rushed towards Ram.

"Rock Smash!" Sienna called, knowing the large dinosaur pokemon wouldn't be able to dodge in time.
Ram charged forward through the mini-tidal wave of water. "DOOOS!" Ram roared as he continued his path towards Anima, his tail swinging towards her in a Rock Smash attack.
