(No worries. ^^;
"Okay!' The gray lioness yelped, a bit surprised but more than eager. She ran away, looking behind her as the cheetah counted. There was no doubt in her mind that she would be caught in seconds. Literally. Seconds. But that was okay, so long as they were having fun. Or at least that's what she was inferring the point was.
She was still not too used to the whole 'playing' thing.
Bouncing away, she decided to hide herself. It wasn't supposed to be part of the game, but maybe it would serve her better than just running. She crawled in with some rocks and curled into a ball. Her coat allowed her to blend in. She kept her muscles tight, though, just so she could run away when she needed to.

The little green cub continued to count slowly, pronouncing each number carefully. "Fifty nineeeeee, Sixty!" With that the little streak of green bounced up and was about to sprint after the lion cub, except, the other seemed to have vanished.
"Huh?" Pilate, carefully, padded slowly about looking this way and that way for any sign of the other. Hide and seek wasn't her strongest game. Still the little cub's pink eyes scanned the horizon, looking carefully for any movement.
Movement in a patch of long grass caught her eye but when she wandered over only a small, but tasty, mouse scurried out. "Hmmm, clever." The cub continued her search.

Kupia kept very still, listening intently for the sounds of paws approaching. She heard rustling in the grass and she tensed, though she tried her best to will her fur to look more like the stones she was nestled by. She heard the paws pass and carefully peeked out under her paws. The cheetah had missed her!
Letting out a giggle, she leapt from the rocks and ran the other way, getting a good head start on the other now.
"You won't catch me!" She called back with a shrill laugh, never having had so much fun before and not quite knowing what to do with it. She felt like she was going to explode! And it would be totally awesome! "Nope! Can't caaaaaatch me!"

The green cheetah jumped in surprise, she had walked right by that rock and hadn't noticed the lion cub concealed behind it. Pilate really needed to work on her observation skills.
"H-Hey!" The cheetah cried out with a sight smirk. With a kick, she sent her self flying into a sprint after the cub. There was no doubt that she would catch up but there was doubt that she could pin Kupia. Kupia had a better build for pinning. Despite this, the green cub kept up the fast pace closing the space between the two quickly.
"I'll catch you~! Just you wait," She giggled madly as she started to catch up. This was fun.

Kupia giggled and stopped abruptly when she knew she was about to be caught, she turned and ran the other way, hoping the sudden change of direction would catch the other off guard and give her a chance at escaping.
Except she wasn't used to all this running around, and quickly found herself running out of breath. Puffed out, her speed fell and she trudged to a stop, panting and holding her head low. She looked up and saw Pilate coming, but knew she just didn't have it in her to run away again.
"Playing is tiring!" She called out, finding this a profound new insight.

Pilate skidded to a surprising fast halt and landed smack on her side. The cub watched the other go another direction and quickly got to her feet and started after only to skid to another stop since the other had stopped. This was all very confusing for the small cheetah cub.
"Your tired already?" She trotted over and sat beside the other. It wouldnt have been very sportsman like to take advantage of the situation and no challenge. Fun was about the challenge some what after all.
"This really is your first time playing eh? No worries. Was a good game though, you right tricked me in the beginning. I had no idea you were behind those rocks." She giggled and flopped on to her side playfully pawing up at the other cub.

The gray cub huffed a bit indignantly. Of course she was tired already! She wasn't blessed with the ridiculous amount of energy cheetahs clearly had. It was like cheating! But she knew she couldn't blame the other for being born different. She had no idea that she was unconsciously vindicating herself of responsibility for her own running out of energy by blaming the other cub.
It made sense in her head, and she was a good creature for not being mad about it.
"I'm glad! That was the point," she said, puffing out her chest. She sighed, still a bit puffed out. She pawed listlessly, then looked back to where she knew her mother was probably waiting, "I should go back soon. I've never been gone this long. Mom won't know what happened to me."

Pilate almost made a whining noise but didn't. It was starting to get late and she had to find something to eat her self. Running fast did come at a high cost in food. That was one thing that was for sure. So the cub simply nodded at the other.
"Good game, maybe next time we can play a game that doesn't have so much running," She smiled at the other, " Next time we meet I want a rematch," She chuckled and rolled onto her feet.

Kupia nodded, smiling brightly. She liked the idea of meeting up again. She had never had a friend that came back before! Of course, she never had a friend at all, so she didn't have much room to talk. In any case, she wanted to keep this one.
"Okay! I'll think up a really good game for next time, and you think up one, and then the next time we meet we'll both have an idea and we can play! I have to go home, but... but you will come play with me again, right?"
She didn't want to hear the answer if it was a no. Smiling, she turned and trotted off, bouncing back to her mom and hoping she would run into the cheetah again.

The cheetah blinked as the other started off and called after, " OF COURSE!" And smiled, she'd be back in this area again for sure.
The cheetah slowly turned the other way and went on her merry way to where ever the wind took her.
