Akuba looked at her,"you are that special", his voice quivered on the word special, as he strained the word,"you are mine, i am yours."

Niele smiled.She loved him with all of her heart."Maybe I should have waited.And picked you first."She tried to stand,only she couldn't.Laying herself back onto her side she breathed heavy.

"I wasn't around to sweep you off your feet was I? I don't remember where I was at all. It's just like one day I didn't exist and the next day I did. It's strange",Akuba looked at niele worried,"please don't try to stand", he was glad he brought the hay she was now lying on,"you're worrying me too much."

"Don't worry.I should have waited in the first place.It would have been better."She looked towards the trees above her."Nothing I can do but just lay here Akuba.I don't even know if i'll be able to stand again."Giving up she closed her eyes and breathed slowly.

"Then you wouldn't have brian", He whined loudly.
Akuba didn't left himself melt inside,"You can't say that, you rib will heal,it takes time, I won't let you not walk again",he yelled.
This really hurt Aku.

"I'm sorry."She looked at him and then looked away.She felt horrible.Niele tried and tried to get up now.Niele wanted to walk.She needed to take care of her family.Whinnieing loudly she stood slowly.Her legs were shakey as ever.

Aku looked at her alarmed,"don't apologize there is no need...are you sure you want to get up? I suppose my teepee is closest, I think you best stay in my teepee, and if you'd like tomorrow, I shall take you to yours, or I can take you to yours now but it's painful."
Akuba coughed and stood up, ready to support her if she fell, it would've been better with someone on her other side, but he'd try what he could.

Niele looked at him."We should just go to yours for now.Until I am atleast a bit better."She started to walk.She winced and pushed herself forward.Walking slowly with her legs shakey,she stoped breathing heavy."I don't know.."Shelayed slowly back to the ground.She layed herself back onto her side.This was to hard for her.She had only made it three tree's from Akuba's travel Teepee.

"It's better if you stay here then. I'm sorry, this really is all my fault",the sun shone in Aku's face,"please you're going to have to stay here a while, I 'll stay with you, until you get better",he nodded.
Again Aku moved the tent three trees forward, it shaded and sheltered Niele,
Akuba would sleep outside, Niele needed some space.
The teepee was big enough for three soquili, but that was it.

Niele watched him."You don't have to stay here with me.I'll be okay."She looked to the ground and tried to move so she could see the sky."Its a very hot day Aku."Niele started to lick her lips and sweat.

No I will not leave you.
"Why would you want me to leave you, please don't be like this", not wanting an answer,
her second comment was his prompt to get her some water,
"The river isn't far, I'll get a bowl from you teepee, stole it from unsuspecting villagers."
He was surprisingly proud of his stealing, although he wouldn't make it into a habit, he knew he'd need it some time.
Akuba looked at his mate her eyes glinted at him,
he daren't touch her,
because he was afraid she'd break more,
quickly he set off for a bowl and water,
finally he found it,
he scooped up as much water he could because he knew it'd spill, he gripped it tightly with his mouth, putting it down when he felt a if it would slip out of his grip.
The bowl was pretty big, and hard for him to grip, but he got it to her, putting it down gently although he wanted to drop it,
his jaw ached.
He nuzzled her neck wanting to know if he was still wanted or whether she'd 'dumped' him for some reason or another.
He crinkled up his nostrils,"niele?"

Niele shook her head lightly."I'm sorry.."She watched him run off.Her eyes closed as she listened to the leaves move together quietly.When she heard hooves comming towards her she quenched her eyes together.Waiting.When Akuba called her name she got onto her belly and took a long drink in the bowl."Thank you Akuba..."She nuzzled him lightly.

Akuba rolled onto his back with his leggs streched out, he then knew he shouldn't have done that.
Bugger...
He shifted his weight hard to roll back round.
"No problem",he sighed, his mane draped over his face,
he was tired and started to fall asleep, he woke himself up,
and then battled with his eyes to keep his eyelids open.
He was loosing.
