Dew's anger subsided, but only just, as she continued to look down at Savith. *But everyone else can voice their concerns. You listen to everyone else, let everyone else open up. You let me. You let me tell you everything that wrong. I don't get it. I don't get why you say one thing adn do another.* Her confusion was evident behind the slightly dulled anger. She was used to things being straightforward. And wolf hunted if it intended to eat, growled if it intended to fight, whimpers if it intended to seek comfort. They did not whimper then strike, or growl then seek comfort. Just as elves adn wolves didn't kill just to kill. She couldn't grasp the concept that Savith had brought into her mind.

Savith sighed lightly, turning his face from the cub in what could be taken as a wolfish equivalent of showing throat. His gaze turned back to the fish, which he resumed gutting with slow methodical motions. **I suppose, there's the difference between us, then. I've never been one to openly share, not have I ever seen it as proper for a leader to do so. Quite honestly, I've already said more to the lot of you than I normally would have. I'd really rather be left alone about it for a while, if no one minds.** While the send was soft, even a touch submissive, the undercurrent was cold, annoyed, frustrated, and defensive.

Dewpaw kepet her gaze steady on Savith, slightly surprised when he looked wway, and even more surprised at the submissive tone hidden, just barely there, in his send. She was still angry and still confused. She didn't understand, and she didn't want to belive it was because she was a cub. Because she was sure that wasn't teh reason. But Savith just made it worse. She was even more confused. His tone was serious and aggressive in her head, yet submissive. he looked away. Wolves never looked way. but he was Glider. She didn't know if that meant something else. Was he backing down? No, he was ending it. Cause thats what he did. he ended things. And she knew he ended them, just as he had before. Oh their walk, in his cave. With the others. he ended things, something by turning away, sometimes by fliying off.
So Dew did the only thing left she could think of... she plopped down next to him in a crouch and held out her hand for a piece of fish.

Savith caught Dewpaw's crouch out of the corner of his eyes, and the first of the silvers of fresh fish was offered over to Dewpaw, resting on the flat of his blade. He tilted his head slightly, chin further from her than the top of his head.

Dewpaw took the meat and slipped it into her mouth silently. She took her time chewing, giving savith a chance to talk if he wanted. she figured he wouldn't though, that he would simply ffall silent once more. But she wanted to give him the chance, in case.

Savith did fall silent, for a time. Eating with quick efficiency while offering Dewpaw slivers of fish every few bites. It was clear that he was watching her out of his peripheral, much as a parent would, to feed their child. He paced her eating so that she would be offered about a third of what he was eating. Part way through the meal, he spoke softly, "We should work on your hunting a bit, I think. Is there any weapon you're particularly fond of?"

Dewpaw accepted the meat as it was offered, still taking her tiem eating it. She was somewhat surprised when Savith spoke up, and slightly confused at his choice of topic. She thought for a second on it, tiltling her head to teh side as she did. "I can use these," she said, drawing one of the daggers costantly tied at her hips. "And a slingshot. I just started learning with a bow, but I'm not very good. but its still my favorite. I like it cause I can shoot from up in the trees. Once i learn, I mea." Dew hurridely explained, somewhat excited at the concept of Savitht aking an interest in her hunting.

The Chosen nodded as Dewpaw spoke, mind collecting the information into its organized little filing system, for retrieval and use as needed. "The daggers I could help you with," he stated, voice still a soft murmur in the darkness. "The bow would have to be another. I will ask and find you an appropriate teacher. Do you know how to make one?"

Dewpaw grew even more excited, forgetting that she was supposed to still be angry with Savith for hiding things. She leaned closer to him, "I used my brother's bow. I never made one. But you're serious? You'll teach me?" Dewpaw was excited and unsure at the same time. It was true in her tribe that every elf taught the cubs. You learned different things and found what you were good at. But parents played a large part in it. Parents taught the most, so Dew was excited that Savith was the first to offer to teach her anything. After all, she had already begun to see the elf as a second father. "I can't wait! When do we get to start?"

Savith nods lightly, a faint smirk at the cub's reactions. "I am, although admittedly, the bow is not a weapon I'm familiar with using with anything resembling skill. But I will learn with you, if you like that weapon."

Dewpaw nodded her head as she got to her feet. Once excited, the cub had a hard time standing still. "This will be fun!" she said, her voice raising a bit. She stood with her feet apart and held up her hands as if she were drawing the string on a bow. She went through the motion of pulling the string back, aiming, and letting loose the arrow. With a giggle, she spun around, playing the part of the unsuspecting prey. She stumbled backwards, her hands held to her chest and gasped in air as the imaginary arrow pierced her chest. She fell backward, landing at Savith's feet with a grin and a giggle, also putting Savith's brightmetal directly in her line of sight.

Savith chuckled, grinning, as Dewpaw aimmed, let loose, then fell over 'dead'. If he noticed her in a position to spy his weapon, he gave no comment, didn't even flinch. Instead, he cut off another bite and kept eating.

Dew's eyes lit up as they always did when she caught sight of Savith's bright-metal talons. She had never seen a weapon like it, so she longed to use it, to try it. "Are you going to teach me how to use other weapons too?" she asked, trying to appear innocent, but her eyes were still locked on the bright-metal.

Savith nodded once, voice slightly mumbled about the bite of fish, even as his eyes remained focused on cutting another bite for himself. "I shall," he replied aloud, mind musing about what and how quickly a full-blooded wolfrider could actually learn anything, having never taught one himself. "Knives, spears, nets, bolos," he added, eyes sliding down to peer at her. "Well, those that don't require flying that is."

"I can use a knife, or a dagger. Aren't they the same?" Dewpaw replied, forcing her gaze to move from the brightmetal claws to Savith's face. "A net can be used from the trees, so can I spear. I don't know what a bolo is, but iknow I can fly, just not the same as you. In fact, in the forest, I fly better than you!" she finsihed the last statement with a grin, crossing her arms as if challenging the other elf, her eyes now locking with his. To the wolves, it wasn't a challenge of authority, but rather a show taht the cub wanted to see where it fell in the tribe, where its place was. Some wolves were stronger while others were faster, and this was just a chance to see what she was good at.
