Kynum quickly turned and dashed along the bridge toward the statue, drawing a highly reflective and polished Katana.

With Shin's heavy landing on the bridge came a wave that rocked the length of it. When the wave reached Kynum, it shot him a couple feet into the air. It was more of a trip than a flip, but in any case Kynum was inverted as he flew through the air to his objective. While flying through the air, inverted, Kynum was facing Shin and saw him bearing down on him. Kynum reflexively brought up the katana to block. Shin's claw smacked the katana with such force that it flew high into the air. Kynum's eyes tracked the blade as it escaped him. He righted himself quickly and used the give of the bridge to launch himself upward toward it, to recover it.

Kynum got a hand on the flying katana and turned in mid-air to face Shin. He let gravity take the momentum out of his leap and reverse it. Kynum used his fall as the force behind his plummeting strike. He slashed horizontally at Shin's face.

With great force, Kynum landed on the rickety bridge, which thankfully didn't break under the sudden weight. Kynum slowly stood himself upright with the bridge swaying still from his return. He turned to face Shin who was now behind him and between Kynum and the statue. He cocked his head to mirror Shin's.
"...What?"

"Oh no! Don't do that! It's what's linking the outside world with the guild!" Kynum said. Suddenly an epiphany dawned on him as he said those words. It wasn't the statue of Margem that was the focal point of this reality. It was the very thing they were standing on. With wide eyes and pale face Kynum proclaimed,
"The bridge!"

Kynum quickly realized that Shin hadn't moved his mouth to the words of the bridge-knocking-down comment. With a huge wave of confusion flooding Kynum's mind. His composure came back with a start as Shin ignited the bridge easily. This was both a shock and a delight at the same time. By destroying the bridge, this reality would be re-set, but Kynum happened to be on said bridge and would likely fall to his doom. It was at this very moment that the bridge decided that it was tired of playing 'mister nice bridge' and the plank that Kynum was standing on broke with a slow creak and then a sudden crack. As he was falling through the hole, Kynum had just enough sense to grab the next plank with has arms.
"Whoa!"

Kynum was about to struggle out of the hole and onto the bridge when Shin's shoes came close to his arms. Kynum looked up at Shin.
"...HA! Come to gloat? Or are you just here to finish me off? I'm not quite sure, though, how much time we have for either, what, with the focal point burning away and all."

Shin's leap made Kynum lose his grip further and was now only hanging on by his fingers, his sword already long gone to the canyon far below.
"Urgh!" Kynum fought to keep his grip. This was all a moot point anyway as a faint snapping signaled the breaking of the support ropes on the opposite side of the bridge. Kynum stilled his efforts to listen to the burning ropes, not sure weather to be ecstatic that his mission was now on the road to success, or horrified that he may not survive it. The bridge finally succumbed to the flames and the ropes gave way completely and the bridge started to fall, still connected to the other side.
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHAHAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!"
