His grunt caused an ear to perk. Had her comment made him uncomfortable? Well-- she hadn't really meant to blurt it out like that. Hilda could have kicked herself right now. She didn't want to make him feel uncomfortable. Perhaps she'd just try and keep a better wrangle on her thoughts.
She brushed that topic off for now.
"I suppose your right. People can do crazy and amazing things for those they care about. Even lay down their lives just to make sure that the ones they loved survived." Perhaps Hilda had never lain down her life, literally. But her life had always been centered around her family and their well being. If anything happened to them she really wouldn't know what to do.
An eyebrow perked as she turned her head slightly. "Gone? Where did they go to?" It was an honest question. He never really divulged in to where they had actually gone. And so it left the door open for curiosity.

" see you should never underestamate the power of someone willing to go to any length to protect their family." Sudha kept calm and acted as if earlyer he had not been uncompfortable with what she had said. when she ask where his family had gone, he frowned slightly though he tryed not to make it noticable. " for now i rather not talk about my parents...." being the noble stallion he was, he tryed to change the subject with out making things get aqward or having her dwell on why he was avoiding answering that perticular question. " anyhow, shall we contiune looking for you mother. im sure she is bound to show up sometime soon or when we lest expect it." giving a charming smile, he stayed polite, caring, proud and most of all a charming gentlemen wich is how he knew a noble stallion should act.

Hilda's ears flicked back slightly. Causing the feathers behind her one ear to bob and weave back and forth. "I see what you mean, yes. Some would even go beyond protecting even those who were not family, but still close to them. It would be...an interesting endeavor for sure. Though I would suppose there would need to be a fairly good reason for myself to want to protect someone who was not family. A dear friend. Perhaps a young foal who could not defend itself and had no one to do so. Even a lover...but I guess that might fall under family. Still, it has a different meaning I guess."
Even if he had tried to hide the frown, the young mare still caught a quick glimpse of it. The subject seemed painful, for some reason. But if he was no up to speaking about it then that was his right. You couldn't force someone to talk about something they didn't want to. It just wouldn't be right. And one would probably get a swift kick to the face for trying and backing the other into a corner. "Mmm, yes." Her ears swiveled back and forth as she listened to the sounds around them. The sound of trickling water soon reached her delicate ears. "Well, there seems to be some water nearby. Probably a river, or at least a small brook. If my mother got thirsty she might be there. And if not well I think I'm pretty parched myself after all this walking."

" mmhmm." Sudha ofcourse would never kick anyone for prying into his personal background but he would avoid touchy subjects and try his best to stay polite. but even as a gentlemen he would use pyhsical violance if another was in danger though he very much disliked anything resulting in such horrible behavior. "well then it seems to me it would be a good place to search, dont you agree?" giving one of his charming smiles, he was pleased to be off the subject of anything personal about himself and that they where contiuning the search for her mother whom he knew she was way worried about.

The mare nodded with a smile. "Yes, I do agree. Water seems to draw a lot of animals and Soquili to one area. So it would most certainly be a good place to start the search."
Hilda was pleased to have the company. At least it would keep her mind off of anything negative that might happen to her mother while out on her own. For the most part anyway. She was a worrier. Especially about her mother and sister. And perhaps that was one of her biggest flaws. She worried about the most insignificant things sometimes.
A small crunch of leaves caused her ears to perk as her head quickly turned towards the noise only to see a little brown rabbit hop away. A small sigh passed through her lips before she looked back to Sudha. "Do you...do you think I'm just worrying too much? I mean--my mom is a grown adult and all. And I'm sure if she needed to she could handle herself if the occasion arose..." Hilda chewed on her bottom lip for a few seconds as she collected her thoughts. "Maybe I'm just treating her like a mother treats a child. Though it should be the other way around I guess. I just don't know." Turning her head, she glanced at the distant trees that lurked in the darkness of the thick forest. "Its silly really."

Sudha didnt mind the company or helping Hilda out as helping was what a gentleman was suppost to do when a mare was in need of help. when she asked him if he thought she was worrying too much, he shook his head with a slight chuckle. " its only natural to worry about your parents or siblings, specialy when you care alot about them." he then gave a toss of his mane to get it from his eyes. " everyone is capable of taking care of themself in some way but some dont have anyone to worry about them or help them if they need it. i dont think its silly at all that you care enough about your mother that you wanna make sure she is alright."

Hilda gave a small sigh. Well, at least he didn't think it was silly of her to worry so much. "I'm glad then that you don't think me silly. Unless you're just humoring me." She nudged him with her shoulder lightly.
"I think its sad that some don't have those that worry about them. They must feel lonesome knowing that there...isn't anyone who really worries about where they are or what they are doing. Someone who doesn't loose sleep if they don't come home at night or cares for them when they are sick or hurt...or even just lonely." She frowned lightly, but lifted her head just a bit. "I would worry for everyone if I could. Just so that they knew someone out there cared enough to do so. But I'm afraid I would worry myself to death if I took on such a task."

"as a gentleman, i only speak truthfuly and would never just humor someone." Sudha nudged her back softly. " it would be no good to worry about everyone and everything, if it in the end stresses you out and makes you worry to death." he really hoped she would never worry so much that it would bring harm to her. " maybe some just prefure solitude to having others as companions. i mayself enjoy having the company of another to talk to."

She giggled lightly as he nudged her back. Casting him a wry smile. "Always as a gentleman eh?" Sudha was a bit silly with his gentlmanly ways. Or at least Hilda thought it was a bit silly. She'd never met someone who was so set in his gentlemanly ways. "Do you live by a gentleman's code then?"
An ear flicked gently. "I suppose your right I guess. Wouldn't do myself or anyone else any good if I worried about everyone and everything all the time." Hilda clicked her tongue against the roof of her mouth. "I'm sure everyone gets lonely now and again. Can't really see anyone seeking out such perfect solitude all the time. If someone did that and cut themselves off from the world I would think them barbaric without they themselves having some sort of interaction with others."

" i always been one and always will be." Sudha grinned in a prideful way as he was rather proud at how he was always a good gentleman. " maaaaybe i do and maybe i dont." chuckling, he then gave a nod to her. " some prefure it some dont. but i guess it just depends on who it is really. i know i prefure company over loney solitude." shrugging, he was actualy enjoying their little debate as they searched for her mother. he hoped they would find her mother and that she would be alright.

Hilda giggled once more. Squinting an eye at him curiously. "Always eh? You never get the urge to be ungentlemanly sometimes? You must be very dedicated to it." She grinned, eyes closing briefly. "Your such a tease. I doubt you'd tell me even if you did. I'm sure its like some super secret thing that only gentleman know about. And well...I'm not really a gentleman now am I?"
She tossed her head lightly to get parts of her mane that had fallen over her eyes out of her face. "I agree. Having company around is nice. Especially when its company like you." Her eyes darted to the side briefly. The young mare's mind throwing up red flags. Hoping that didn't sound weird or anything.
As they drew upon the river side, Hilda glanced about this way and that. No sign of her mother here. She bit on her bottom lip lightly. "Hmmm, seems she's not here." Her voice took on a lower, softer tone as she spoke. "Well, I guess at least I can get a drink of water while we're here." Moving towards the edge of the river, she lowered her head and sipped lightly at the cool water. Letting it run down her throat slowly to sooth its dryness.
