"Bramblestone, it's me, Rollinggust." She spoke in a whisper, but she could speak no louder even if she wanted to. Her throat had closed up, out of fear probably, like when you're put on the spot in front of everyone with no idea what to say or what to do or what's going on. She said no more, and turned her attention back to the other cats. They were all afraid, and trapped like a rat... They couldn't possibly be considered as prey to the Two-legs, could they? The Two-legs were never short on their own freshkill...

She tapped on one of the numerous bars that surrounded her. This was a familiar material, except her bands did not stick to it like the ones she had once been trapped in. What was it called again... magnetic? So if these cages were not, then it was the same stuff monsters were made of. And if that was true then... escape would be impossible. She sighed at herself, there was no need to analyze this kind of stuff, it was obvious enough!

Sootstep did not feel the warm moss laden nest needs under her body, it was hard and smooth... but colder then rock. She couldn't hear the dry reeds rustling gently in a still wind but frightened mews of fellow cats. Entered her noses were strange smells of twoleg place and cat. Some faint familiar... but could not recall who or what they belong to in her current state of mind.

The black cat opened her eyes. "... where... am I?" she mewed quietly. Looking at the world threw the small square openings of her prison as she recalled how this came to be. A twoleg had grabbed her by the neck, stabbed her with a long needle... all went black. At the time, SootSteps believed she was to join StarClan but now, it appeared she was very much alive. She murmured thanks to her ancestors... in dew time. Now she had much to live for, RiverClan. That is if she could ever get back to them o.o.

She could scent cats from all four of the forest clans. Her fur bristled as she curled up in corner of her cage. "How many of us will they have?" she yowled. If it was only her she wouldn't have to fear for River Clan or all the Clans but solely her own safety but this was not the case. Her orange eyes clouded with grief. "Do whatever you like with me StarClan but let my family live." she pleaded as she slunk deeper in dispear.

Bramblestone grinned with relief. Her Clanmate sounded like she was in the den above her. "Rollinggust!" she meowed happily. "Are you all right?" She pawed uselessly at the shiny web, wishing she could stick her head out, crane it around so that she could see her fellow WindClanner. "How did you get captured?" she asked. "I was chasing a rabbit and ran straight into them." She was giddy with relief, and ignored the other cats around her, desperate for the company of a cat she knew. Around her were the hostile sounds of cats from enemy clans. Enemies. She needed friends here.

"Do you think there'll be a rescue mission?" she asked as she scanned the web-den. A small tray held dry pellets like dirt; it smelled somewhat more appetizing, but this wasn't saying much. It didn't smell like rabbit, like bird. Bramblestone curled her lip at it. Twoleg filth they thought they would be interested to eat. Instead she lapped a little at a tray of water. It tasted disgusting, too smooth, too artificial, as though it was merely an imitation of water, like the shiny web of the den. It cleared the foul taste that remained from her unconsciousness away, though.

Fernstar had been staring at the den above hers when a cry from across the room somewhere had the pale tortoishell creeping to the grated mouth of her confinement and peering out, ignoring the feeling of the twoleg food pellets that spilled over her paws and out of the den as she tipped the bowl. "Sootsteps? Are you in here too, Sootsteps?? How many of our clan have been captured I wonder? I was certain everyone was still in camp sorting out hunting duties..." She yowled, hoping and dreading to see the black face and orange eyes of one of her warriors peer out of one of the other dens.

A sudden racket from above, followed by a questing meow, brought Fernstar's attention abruptly to the silver den above her own. The trembling in her pelt subsided slightly as she recognized the thick scent of pines and marsh, Shadowclan. "I....can hear you." She mewed softly, her voice trembling slightly as she responded, "You are from Shadowclan, right?" The Riverclan leader's nose twitched and she tried a little harder to discern just how many of the assembled cats were from the clans. The den above her held a Shadowclan cat, and it seemed like a little further down there was the scent of Windclan. Somewhere across the room, she detected the scent of Thunderclan... two cats it seemed. Also, another Shadowclan cat was near one of the two Thunderclan cats. "It seems the twolegs have captured many of us..." She mewed again, at last, peering up at the den above hers.

The voice that responded was tremulous and weak. Plumgaze gazed down at the silver floor, as if he could see right through it to the cat below. What was wrong with her? Though it was faint, he couldn't detect any signs of blood or illness from her scent. Maybe she was just afraid.

"ShadowClan, yes. My name's Plumgaze...?" He waited for her to offer a name in return. Not that it would mean anything - he didn't know any cats from RiverClan. "They did. There's no one else from your Clan, though, as far as I can tell." That could be good news or bad news, depending on how you looked at it. Rumplash's presence meant a familiar face, yet his fellow ShadowClanner sounded so miserable...

"Don't worry, Rum. We'll find a way out." It sounded weak, but what else was there to say? Plumgaze bit his lip. "StarClan wouldn't let anything happen to us."

Ears pricked up as familiar meow reached her, waking her from agony. "Fernstar?" she uttered. All most thought it was voice from a dream but no, FernStar was the RiverClan cat she scented earlier. Her leaders voice was such a relief. To have her leader her with her meant she was missing the RiverClan. They had to return!

"I scented WindClan." she answered "So I went to the river to find you but you had all ready lef-" she suddenly shut her mouth. 'What am I saying!' yowled inwardly. 'Giving away that RiverClan has been weakened when I know Thunder and Shadow Clan are listening?!' Fur bristled, knew error she was about to comit. Last thing they needed was for every cat in the forest to know that RiverClan was starving. "... left to chase them off." she lied, hoping it might satisfy. Bowed her head in shame. Didn't want to insult WindClan but it was the only way she could recover with out admitting that WindClan was intern, helping RiverClan.

"A patrol? Accusing Shadowclan?" Linnetsong would've purred with laughter if she wasn't so weary of this. It sounded like her parents alright. She wondered briefly if she would've done the same for them, or her siblings. Speaking of which, were any of them here? She lifted her head a bit, taking in the scents of Windclan, Shadowclan, Riverclan, but found no other Thunderclan cats other than Berrysnow and Twilightblaze.

Well that's good. If they had the energy to confront Shadowclan, would they be able to come here and rescue them? If they knew? Something in her gut told her that they were on their way, but how could that be if they don't know what they're fighting? Could Starclan have told them?

She wished that her thoughts could be definite and not just whipsy what-ifs. If the Two-legs didn't get her first, it'll be her anxiety.

"Wait, Fernstar? They captured a leader?!" She perked up at the sound of her name. She was glad it wasn't Sunstar or Moonstar, but still.

Fernstar's mouth had dropped open slightly in dread as she listened to her warrior's near slip up; she recovered herself, but the pale tortoiseshell leader knew that if any of the others could see the ragged pelts of both her and Sootsteps, they'd be able to figure it out anyway. The cat in the den above hers suddenly spoke again and she laid her ears back slightly. "Plumgaze... I am Fernstar, and as you assumed, I am from Riverclan." The pale she-cat stared at the entrance to the strange den she was in a while before posing a question to the cat above her, her fear apparently ebbing as her voice grew stronger, "How do you propose getting out of here?"

Bramblestone snorted as she caught the voice of one of the RiverClan warriors. "You scrawny bone-sacks, chase us? Looked different from our side of the border! What would we go to your territory for?! Those twolegs would catch us, and it's not as if there are any rabbits over there!" It occurred to the young warrior as she said this that she should probably hold her tongue. The nine or so Clan cats would need to stick together to get through this, and alienating other clans would not be wise. Besides, she remembered the pity she had felt for them when she saw them at the confrontation at the border. Weary, thin, their skin hanging loosely on their bones... "Sorry," she muttered softly. "I really am, I shouldn't say things like that. We're all in the same mess here. My name is Bramblestone, what's yours, RiverClanner?"

Berrysnow's ears pricked in surprise.

"Fernstar? How could the twolegs manage to capture a leader? This is real bad though..." She mewed, her grey eyes staring into the gloom. "There has to be a way out of here! There must be somethingw e can do to at least help ourselves!"

"Yes, I'm fine, and you're alright yourself, right?" It didn't seemed that any of the cats were deeply injured, just aching. She would have made a small chuckle at how Bramblestone got captured, but in the situation they were currently, she was very grave. "I'm not sure, I was..." She couldn't seem to even remember where she had been at the time. Windclan or Riverclan? Her fur bristled, and she wasn't sure if she really wanted to remember after all.

"I don't know..." She lowered her eyes, glad she wasn't alone in this, "but our Windclan is a proud clan, they won't stand to have its warriors captured and do nothing of it." She cleared her throat when Bramblestone lashed a bit at Sootstep, not quite wanting to hear any arguments in such a time of need. Rollinggust could tell that the Riverclanner was just being devoted to her clan and not revealing any vulnerability, even when they were all in this state. She turned in the general direction of Fernstar. "On the topic of escape... I think our first measure should be to wait in patience, and gather more information about our surroundings first before we make our plans. I'm not sure we have that kind of time to since there's only a vague idea of what's happening, but it's better than nothing, unless of course someone has a better idea." She didn't have any sarcasm in her voice for the last bit, as she really did mean to encourage others to come up with something more purposeful.

Bramblestone nodded at what Rollinggust said, wrapping her tail around her paws. "I'm fine. My side aches, but that's about it. They bruised me there--but I'm okay now." She nodded. "WindClan will certainly rescue us," she murmured, as much to reassure herself as the others. After that, the normally wild warrior fell silent as she took in the surroundings once more. The stacks of web-dens, a tiny window somewhere above her. A piece of wood blocked another entrance into the room--the Twolegs would come and go from there, like the openings in monsters when they stopped on the side of the Thunderpath. It was even farther away from inside the dens, though. Curiously, she poked a paw outside the web to investigate a rectangle of metal on the door. Somehow, it was the key to this all; but how? And why?

Fernstar?! Plumgaze hissed slightly in shock, scraping his claws against the cold metal floor. If they had captured Fernstar, Moonstar could be next! He calmed down upon hearing Bramblestone's words. RiverClan must be weak...so weak that their leader could be captured. But ShadowClan was strong, even in this season of ice and hunger.

He flattened his ears back, lowering his voice out of Rumsplash's hearing. "I don't think we are getting out of here. I didn't...didn't want her to be afraid." he admitted ruefully.

SootSteps flattened her ears against her skull at Bramblestone's bone-sack remark but decided to leave at that. The ThunderClan and ShadowClan cats seemed uninterested in what would look to be a small border dispute. When in reality RiverClan was facing starvation. Blinked gratefully at RollingGust for keeping quite about the matter. "I'm named SootSteps." she mewed in answer to Bramblestone's question, touched by quick apology. 'They really are an honorable Clan.'

Her ears pricked as talk of escaping buzzed in the air. "Are Clan's may not even know two legs are responsible for are disappearance for all we know." reminded them, "Whatever the case maybe, we should try are best to escape are selves." gave the smelly pelts a thoughtful sniff "At least the two legs are feeding us... " muttered before digging in. "This isn't half bad!" to a starving warrior even cat food can taste like the juiciest of prey... well maybe not that good but you get the idea.

Rollinggust dared not touch the pellet crow food. Not out of honor and pride, but she was too paranoid to. It could be poisoned with something deadlier then what had got them all caught for all she knew! Of course though she wouldn't admit that the two-legs could have easily killed them if that was their true intent.

She glanced around; it seemed there wasn't a lot of ideas. There were cats that understood this as a hopeless situation and others that believed firmly that they had to escape. She lied back down, hoping a patrol might be on its way to at least investigate their disappearance... It was a selfish, to hope the clan would risk more warriors to save two, but it was just that she didn't want to be forgotten... Or worse, be turned into a kittypet.
