Salutations Zatao: Arrival in Katarina
Many a traveler made their way to the Zatao region by boat. Usually many travelers would spend their time enjoying the company of the others arriving to a new place.
However, at the edge of the boat, a blue haired girl stood, looking over the railing into the water. They'd be arriving soon enough, but she had grown bored of her cabin. As if to quiz herself, she spoke over the edge of the railing to what seemed to be nothing.
"Zatao, the new region, is still being explored to this date. Initially, there were only two settlements: the main city of Katarina to the southeast, and a smaller town to the north called Inhinx. However, a group of trainers were sent to scout for the situation of Inhinx, only to find it in ruins from the greed of the citizens there caused by the discovery of rich silver mines years ago. Shortly after, the small city of Motterossa was founded near the center of the island."
There was a slight pause as she pushed her thick rimmed glasses up her nose and glanced down.
"Katarina, the place we are heading, is considered the ideal place for a bustling city by the locals. The town is located in the southeast in a large, fertile plain. It is already large for being such a relatively new development, featuring apartment buildings, a Pokemon Center, Hotels, Police Station, Pokemart and a large harbor. Trainers, like myself, arrive everyday in groups, as sea traffic increases. "
Had somebody been watching her mumble to what seemed to be herself, they might have thought she was a loon. Either way, the blue-haired girl wouldn't have noticed, since her quizzing partner was swimming right behind the ship. Deep crimson eyes were intently watching the girl's lips, carefully noting the motions. Despite being relatively small compared to the ship, the Dratini was able to keep up with the boat without a problem.
At that moment, the boat tooted, announcing that it was arriving to the new land. The girl stood up straight and let out a wisp of a sigh. She was not ready for this moment yet. Holding out a blue Pokeball, she sent a red beam of light to recall her Pokemon. Her stomach felt fluttery from the butterfrees more than likely taking momentary residence there. It was almost worse than preparing for a formal written test.
Aside from the girl's blue hair, she seemed to be a rather plain girl. Once again, she pushed her coke-bottle lensed glasses up her nose. She needed to go back to her cabin and get prepared for landing. After all, she needed to get in a costume, fix up her hair "just right," and make certain all of her things were in her many suitcases.
She'd give Zatao a reason to love her. Sootopolis shunned her away, but now, here in this new place, she'd shine!
...or at least, she thought so.
