OMG YESH! It happened in the anime!
OH. MY. GOODNESS! That was one of my FAVORITE parts! Lol. It's like, the episode where they're all winding down from Chapter Black. You know, Yusuke's questioning his identity and stuff? Okay, it shows Hiei sitting at the foot of a tree in a forest. Kurama comes up from behind him in his school uniform, witty banter witty banter, then he hands him the Chapter Black tape with something along the lines of "Well here ya go. All of humanity's worst moments. It what you wanted right?"
Hiei takes it. Looks at it for a few seconds, then tosses it in the air and chops it to a MILLION pieces. Sits down, looking rather pleased with himself then simply replies. "Whoops. My sword must have slipped." Kurama smiles and...I think that's the end of the scene. : DDD
On my list of favorite YYH moments. It. Was. Amazing. I'll have to see if I can find it on youtube. Someone MUST have posted it. (Note to self. Go on youtube.)
Hahaha! Oh, c'mon, it'd be fun. XD Let's see who can poke Hiei and keep their finger the longest. XD

Wow, I really, really don't remember. I think that was one of the few episodes that I missed when Toonami changed the program to two FREAKING a.m. lol.
Thank you for sending me the link! That was well worth it. Though, I have to say that I believe much of the reason Hiei chopped it up was because of what Kurama was saying, and less because he actually wanted to. I mean, I'm sure that's part of it, but Kurama was totally trashing his character. I probably would have done the same, if only to spite Kurama.
When he said that his sword slipped, I just about lost it. (It reminded me of Stewie Griffin, too, which is always hilarious.) He's always good for a laugh.

Hahaha! I know right? One of the most AMAZING moments in YYH history. *sighs and grins*
Really? It was because Kurama was trashing his character? Hmmm...
I don't know. I mean, Chapter Black was a once in a lifetime opportunity. And it sounded like Hiei really wanted it from what I could tell. I'll have to re-watch the series. I would think if it was because of Kurama degrading him, he would've shown more anger, but instead, it was just a smirk then...hahaha
"Damn it, my sword must've slipped." XD

Well, Kurama was trying to prove that Hiei was predictable and was implying that he disapproved. I believe that Hiei was trying to show that he isn't what Kurama thinks he is, and that he makes his own decisions despite the things Kurama thinks about him. At the same time, I do think that he wanted to slice it up. He wouldn't have given it up unless he no longer cared.
One thing that bugged me about that scene was when Kurama mentioned that what other humans had done to demons was included. Before, I had gotten the impression that the tape was an overall summary of all of the terrible things that humans, as a group, did.
I mean, I don't mind the idea of the Holocaust being on the tape, because millions of humans were involved in that. (I like to think that I wouldn't say something like "that was just the Nazis" when confronted with it, either.) But something that only a few sick and sociopathic humans did once or twice? How is that representative of the species as a whole? Or perhaps I got the wrong impression about what the tape was supposed to do.

Yeah, the whole it having stuff about humans to demons thing really befuddled me as well, which is why I decided to overall ignore it. But then again, we discussed earlier that it might've been used to brainwash demons against the human race, so it would make sense for them to have it on there, if that's the case.
Hahaha...okay NOW I get it. If Kurama was trying to tell me I was predictable I'd probably do the last thing he expected too. I don't like others throwing me into a category or the feeling that I'm being judged. I like to keep people on their toes. I think Hiei does too. Since we've decided he has a very controlling nature in other topics, then if he remains unpredictable to everyone, the power is obviously with him.

Then again, if they were using that tape for brainwashing, why make the other one at all? It could be used just as easily to prove that humans aren't evil. I think we talked before about it being used as history, which makes sense, but if you wanted to document human activity then why split it into two even boxes? Why not just keep it all together? But this is Spirit World; who knows why they do anything the way they do. XD

What do you mean "other tape"? : s
And because Spirit World is stupid and is ruled by stupid people. It's been shown on numerous occasions. They're logic is greatly flawed. Thus is makes sense. Haha. XD

Aha! But you see there, they KNEW that at that point in time they would want Yusuke dead. You see, they're gods, they're all knowing like that. Lol ; D

Koenma said the tape was meant to be seen with the set- so there are other tapes.
My favorite- I believe it would have been the Three Kings if it hadn't been so....rushed? The Dark Tournament had its good moments, but I liked the less formal set up of the Chapter Black- and Yusuke kicks a** on a bike! But I can't really say------can I just say any moments with Kurama in them XDDDD

Yeah, Three Kings Saga WAS pretty rushed now that you mention it and it just had SO many time skips. I mean, I felt like it should be more like the Dark Tournament...but it wasn't. But then again, I kinda liked that. There was just a different feel to the Makaii Tournament, you know? It was more easy-going and such. Not all "Gr! Life or death I'mma kill joo!" Haha! XD

"The other tape" is the tape they made of all the good things humans are responsible. I am pretty sure that was mentioned in-canon, but I could be wrong. Like eartianwerewolf said, there was at least one other. "It was never meant to be seen alone." Quote: You see, they're gods, they're all knowing like that. Lol ; D Actually, Enma and Koenma really aren't all-knowing. 'cause if they were, then they would never worry or wonder if Yusuke was going to screw everything up. They aren't much like Judeo-Christian God, I know that much. ^^ The Makai tourney was a bunch of demons having fun, I think, instead of a bunch of demons trying to kill our favorite human-ish MCs. XD

I'd have to say that the Dark Tournament was my favorite, because it's the first time we really get to know all the characters and their rolls in the plot.
