We just need to organize 'reservists'
One person can 'hold' 5 other spots on their 'map'
We just need to organize onto each others friend lists.
I will volunteer to reserve a block. I will be on tomorrow, would anyone like to live in my neighborhood? There may be a slight smog problem... but hopefully the area I select will be breezy enough that it won't be terribly noticable.
biggrin

GA Peach Now I would like for my little family to be together too, but I know that I would rather share my surroundings with the rest of you smile You're right. I considered this more in the shower (I must do my best thinking there) and realized I'd rather live in 4 places than in 1, and I'd also rather get the surprise of running into you all in my neighborhoods, while there's almost no chance of running into myself as a surprise. blaugh So let me see if there's room near the beginning of this thread to start up some reservation lists, otherwise I'll make a new thread for it. smile EDIT - Ok, I've started some tentative lists (we can alter/rearrange them as we go) in the second post (to avoid having to redo the poll in the first post.) I've guessed at who all might want their house in purkle neighborhoods, but I'm not sure which mules/members have houses or are interested! As we post here and organize, we'll see what works!

MysticfawN Thinking about it.. with only 5 of my friends able to be in my neighborhood, I'd want my family in there first: PinkSeedkin, jmustang, jadepup, and my sister jennimac. That only leaves space for one. My best friend being Jaz, I'd offer to her first if she's willing. heart heart heart heart This is so exciting! I'm willing to wait for a reservation as well...no rush...and maybe if we wait we're liable to get our neighborhoods closer to each other...but I like to visit so it doesn't bother me at all wink Just cuz we don't have our house settled doesn't mean we can't roam gaia towns right?

magikjaz Just cuz we don't have our house settled doesn't mean we can't roam gaia towns right? Right!! biggrin That's what I plan to do.. run around and catch bugs, pick flowers, and pick up trash until I see how things go, and if more locations become available, etc. I've set up some tentative lists in the second post!

I know that i would like for my wicked sisters and I to have house close together. I am waiting to see what they decide. And I know that Butterfly said that her and Sunny were going to have houses by each other.

Do we have enough people to warrant that many reservations? Maybe jadepup and I should be put into another list since everyone is waiting--I had simply said I'd reserve in December b/c it sounded like some of us wanted to get started right away. Just give me a date and I can put my house up if nothing else.
I'm just thinking that we don't want to spread out TOO much, I'd like to be able to see people!

I'm excited to get my home in the towns. I'd probably spend more time there too. I just don't quite understand how to do that though, I read the announcement.

No, you're right, we don't need that many. It's good to draw it out though so we can see how quickly or slowly it's filling, and make adjustments, like you noticed. 3nodding
From what I gather, there were lots of people going into towns and waiting in empty lots, trying to figure out how to place their houses, and getting very frustrated. I finally remembered it said to go to Aekea and get a town permit, and I suggested this to one of the frustrated girls I remembered. She said it didn't work to get a town permit, but it did work to reserve a whole neighborhood, so she did that, and just got the one house for herself. Now, the reason I'm thinking the town permits for ONE house aren't working yet is because we have to wait the 24 hours for those reserved lots to expire so that other people can start filling up the unused spaces. Until then, it looks like the only way to place a house is reserve a neighborhood and get as many or as few friends to join you as you can.
And it doesn't look like the 'rush' is a problem for the servers. It's not that much of a rush, and it looks like they coded it to add on new areas as needed. The thing I'd like to see about is whether it'll expand to other locations once Barton is full, like Durem, or Gambino. But then the disadvantage to that would be all the map clicking it would take to get there.
Maybe one of the neighborhoods wants to see about getting started. None are completely filled yet, but not everybody has chosen a group.

Flowers and Trash... OH MY!
Earlier today, trash cleanup was re-enabled, and a big thank you goes out to all Gaia users who are helping to keep Gaia Towns clean.
Starting tonight, you'll finally be able to pick up flowers in Gaia Towns. Head over to Rina's Flowershoppe in Barton, and pick yourself up a Garden Shovel to be able to pick flowers.
Flowers work like trash where it's a first-gets-to-it basis, but, unlike trash, and more like Insects, you have to have the garden shovel item in your inventory, and you have to select the garden shovel icon (opposite of the net) to be able to dig up those flowers.
Have Fun!
the shop is in lower right corner...just to the left of the link list
